The Star in My Darkness
Description
You never know what you have until it's gone. Then it's too late to say what you want to say and do what you should have done.

There’s this girl I know. She would always accompany me everywhere. At first I was annoyed, but I got used to her presence and didn’t mind her. So bubbly and sweet, quite the opposite of me. She would always talk. She would talk about anything: school, family, food, sports, music etc. I would tell her to get lost and quit bothering me a lot. But after a while I was, in a way, attached to her, and I started giving replies and even smiling. I guess you could say she was my first friend. I still told her off and called her annoying and weird, but in a friendlier way than before. I don’t know when I started to change, but I did and I kind of liked it. I was still the cold and rude person to everyone, but I wasn’t as mean to her and sometimes I even had a tiny ounce of respect for others. I guess she had a soft spot in my heart and influenced me in a good way. I didn’t notice it, but my heart warmed up a bit because of her. She reminded me that there was still light in darkness, good in bad, and some fairness in this world. She saw the good and value in me, if she fell (and I was the one who usually pushed her) she would get back up. I admired her persistence and patience, especially when it came to me.
Then she disappeared.

Foreword
Kris Wu. The cold, locked up transfer student from China. No one dares to approach him, one glare from Kris and you wouldn’t bother him again. The first impression he gave off, intentional or not, was that he didn't want to associate himself with those people. He had a very high temper and got annoyed very easily, no one dared to test that.
Except one small, 5’4 girl who smiled like there was no tomorrow and could never be put down. She would always have motivation and her cheery, perky voice never left her.
Kris never thought he would become relatively close with someone like that, he never thought he would become relatively close with anyone. But she changed that.
"Who's the star in your darkness?" she asked.
"What?" I stared at her. "Star in my darkness- What?"
"The star in your darkness! The one that brings you out of your darkness. The one who makes you happy." she explained. "When there's no hope and it's all dark, the one who lights up your dark world."
I let out a dry laugh, "I'm always in darkness. There's no one who can take me out of it."
She smiled, "Of course there is! Once you realize it, you'll feel much better knowing there's someone who lights your sky up."
"Yeah." I laughed again. "Sure."
