Chapter 9
A Love, Everlasting
“I don’t understand why you would do that.” Taeyeon voiced her opinion. I sighed. “We have already been dating for a year,
and this is our first fight. I guess it had to happen sometime.” I thought to myself. “Are you even LISTENING to me?” Taeyeon
practically yelled. Thunder rumbled in the distance, creating a sense of foreboding. “Of course I am listening to you, Taeyeon. I just
don’t quite understand why you are angry. I replied. “You just don’t get it. Maybe if you had been listening to me this entire time, you
would understand why I am angry.” Taeyeon said. Slowly I walked towards her. Her hair was up, slightly wild around her perfect face
and she was wearing jeans and a shirt that was way too large for her, her arms crossed over the picture of the mutant ninja turtles. I
pulled her into a hug, Taeyeon refusing to hug back by keeping her arms crossed. “I’m sorry.” I said. “You can’t say that. You don’t
even know what you are apologizing for.” Taeyeon pulled away and moved towards the couch. “Well then why won’t you just tell me
what I did?” I said, getting slightly angry. “You are supposed to figure that out for yourself. Otherwise it won’t mean anything.” Taeyeon
said. Distant thunder tore through the sky once again. It was going to rain soon. “How can I even apologize or find out what I did if I
don’t know what I did wrong?” I said in a sarcastic tone. “Don’t talk to me that way!” Taeyeon practically yelled. Light flashed through
the sky followed by a loud clap, shaking the house a bit. Taeyeon and I stopped, taking a look around. “That sounded close.” I thought
to myself. “Just go away. I don’t want to talk to you right now.” Taeyeon said. I tried moving close once again. Taeyeon got up and
moved away. “I said go AWAY!” Taeyeon yelled as tears began rolling down her face. Lightning once more illuminating the sky bright
as day, followed by another loud clap, which sounded like an explosion. Rain began to pour down in a torrent and the wind picked up,
howling as if a wolf was outside the door. Taeyeon left the room and made her way towards the bedroom, locking herself in.
An hour had passed with me sitting on the couch wondering what I had done wrong. I could hear Taeyeon sniffling in the
bedroom, her slight crying reaching my ears. The rain continued to pour down, softer than before. “What did I do?” I thought to myself,
recollecting the events that had gone by and coming up with nothing. “I don’t know what she is angry about…” My thoughts trailed off.
Slowly, I made my way towards the bedroom and knocked on the door. “Taeyeon.” There was no answer. I knocked once more.
“Taeyeon. Please talk to me.” I begged. “Go away.” I heard her, her voice, full of misery, muffled by the door between us. I tried to turn
the door handle, but to no avail. Suddenly, I heard footsteps coming towards the door, and the door opened. “If you can’t leave me
alone, then we are over!” Taeyeon yelled. “Taeyeon, I just want to talk…” I pleaded. “No.” She said, as she made her way to the door.
“Don’t go.” I begged. The front door opened and Taeyeon rushed out. “Please!” I yelled as she got into the car and drove away,
leaving me in her wake to watch.
