Chapter 11
A Love, Everlasting
“I’m sorry…” The voice said on the end up the line, slightly shaky. “I’m so sorry.” I could hear the beginning of slight sobs. “Taeyeon,
it’s okay. Just come back to me. Don’t be sorry.” I said pleadingly. “Do you even want me back?” Taeyeon said through her cries. “Of
course I do, sweetheart. Please, just come back.” I answered. “Are you sure?” Taeyeon asked after taking a deep breath, her sigh
sounding loud as she breathed into the receiver. “Baby, please. I want you back.” I said, assuring her. “Okay. Okay, I will come right
back.” I heard the click of the phone hanging up and I collapsed on the couch.
An hour of waiting and keeping myself occupied passed uneventfully and finally, I heard a car door close. I rushed to the
door, opening it up to the night. The air was slightly chilly and stars littered the purple sky, casting a silvery glow to the world below it. I
saw Taeyeon get out of the car and rush toward me, seeing her tear stained face for a brief moment before she jumped into my arms. I
could feel her sobs racking her body as I held on to her, her hair. “Shhhh. It’s alright, Taeyeon. Everything is okay.” I
whispered to her. Her arms wrapped tightly around my waist as I began to walk her inside towards the bedroom. I set her down on the
bed gently before leaving to go get tissues. I came back to see Taeyeon in the bathroom with the faucet running, washing her face. A
moment later, she was out and by my side once again. “I’m sorry.” Taeyeon repeated once again, lying down and pulling me with her.
She laid her head down on my chest and wrapped my arm around her. “It’s alright, Taeyeon. You have nothing to be sorry for. I
promise, okay?” Taeyeon looked at me, her brown eyes shining slightly in the reflection from the window. “Did you miss me?” She
asked, her eyes slightly watery. “Immensely,” I replied, “I didn’t know what to do with you gone. I was so worried.” I confessed. Taeyeon
laid her head back down onto my chest. “I missed you too. I regretted leaving right after I left, but I wasn’t sure you would want me to
come back.” Taeyeon sighed. I pulled her closer towards me before kissing the top of her head. “I always want you, Taeyeon. I love
you. I will always love you.” “And I will always love you.” Taeyeon echoed back. Together, we drifted off to sleep, caught in an embrace.
Together, we were one.
Light was shining brightly through my window, waking me up. Taeyeon was still asleep next to me, her hair in a messy halo around her
head. Quietly, I snuck out of the bedroom, careful not to wake her, and made my way to the kitchen, getting ready to make breakfast.
Before long, I had the eggs cooking and the bacon sizzling in the pan, releasing a heavenly aroma that was enough to wake Taeyeon
up from her slumber. “Just in time!” I announced excitedly as I dished food out onto our plates. “How do you feel about seeing a movie
today?” I asked. Taeyeon let out a shy smile, which left my heart soaring. “That sounds good to me.” She said. I smiled widely, seeing
my happiness reflected back into her face. “Then it’s settled. We are seeing a movie.”
