Taeyeon and I arrived at the park, the sun high in the sky, creating a dull heat that seemed to sap the energy out of life.

Together, we found a shady spot under a large oak tree and spread out the blanket. “It’s a lot cooler in the shade,” Taeyeon sighed,

setting down the things she had been carrying, “We can finally enjoy this weather.” I gave Taeyeon my sweetest smile before setting

down my basket of food. “As long as I am with you, I can enjoy anything.” I returned. She blushed lightly, and giggled. Slowly, I sat

down and slipped off my shoes, letting the gentle breeze slip wash over me, and closed my eyes. A moment later, I felt Taeyeon do the

same, scooting closer to me and resting her hand on top of mine. Together, we sat for a while, enjoying the slight breeze under the

shade of the oak tree, occasionally telling half-hearted jokes. “Psst.” Taeyeon whispered. I looked over at her and mumbled “Hmm?”

Before I had time to react, she tackled me, laying her small frame on top of mine and locked me in her arms, laughing. “I got you!”

Taeyeon said excitedly before kissing me first on the cheek, making her way slowly to my lips. I wrapped my arms firmly around her

waist, covering her in my embrace before a small rumbling sound interrupted. Taeyeon giggled in a cute manor, “I guess it’s your turn

this time huh?” I sighed “Yeah yeah, it was me this time. I guess I am a bit hungry.” Taeyeon put her hands on either side of my face

and kissed me once more gently on the lips. “We should eat then.” I grinned, the corners of my mouth slightly turning up. “We should.”

                After Taeyeon and I finished eating our sandwiches, I gently leaned back, laying down on the soft sheet and staring up into

the green branches of the tree, small shafts of light poking through where the branches didn’t cover. Taeyeon gently laid her head on

my chest and curled her hand over my shoulder. “I like the sound of your heart,” her lovely voice drifted to me, “it’s like it talks to me.”

“What does it say?” I wondered. Taeyeon took a deep breath and let it out, not seeming to want to answer. “What does it say?” I asked

again, and wrapped my arm around her shoulder, gently nudging her. “Do you really want to know?” Taeyeon teased me half-

heartedly. “Tell me!” I demanded. She took another deep breath and whispered something incoherent. “What?” I smiled, nudging her

again. “It says ‘I love you.’” I caught a glimpse of Taeyeon’s face turning bright red before she buried her face in my chest, my heart

beginning to beat faster. Taeyeon’s muffled voice reached my ears, her face still buried in my chest. “Do you love me? Because I love

you…” She trailed off. I draped my arms around her before answering “Of course I do.” I answered, my heart beating awfully fast. “Say

it.” Taeyeon’s muffled words drifted to my ears once again. “Tell me you love me.” My heart throbbed as I said the words slowly,

seeming to drip from my lips. “I love you, Taeyeon.” Slowly she lifted her head from my chest, looking up at me, her brown eyes wide.

“Are you sure?” She asked, tilting her head slightly. I nodded my head and answered “Absolutely. I love you.” My heart letting out

another throb. Taeyeon kissed me firmly on the lips, my mouth moving along with hers, time seeming to slow to a crawl. “I love you

too.” She whispered.
