Chapter 4
A Love, Everlasting
I awoke to the soft light of the television gently creeping across my eye lids and Taeyeon pressed firmly into my body, a
blanket encompassing us and creating a cocoon of warmth. “When did I fall asleep?” I wondered silently to myself, looking at
Taeyeon’s peaceful face, “Poor baby… She must have been cold during the night, and covered us with this blanket.” I gently wrapped
my arms around Taeyeon’s small frame, and pulled her closer. A small smile lit up Taeyeon’s sleeping face as she laid her head on my
chest and wrapped her arms around my waist. “How is this even real?” I pondered silently, “How is she even here in my arms? She is a
superstar and I am me.” Taeyeon and I laid together for a short while before she began to stir and stretch, her arms slowly moving up
my chest, past my neck, and up to the top of my head. Small gasps made their escape, as she opened her eyes and looked up at me.
“Good morning, sweetheart.” I whispered to her and kissed her forehead. She rested her hand on my cheek and pushed herself
towards me, gently kissing my lips. “Good morning.” She whispered back and closed her eyes. The corner of my mouth twisted into a
small grin. “Did you sleep well?” I asked as I wrapped my arms around her slender frame. Taeyeon rested her head on my chest and
took a deep breath before letting it out once more. “Your heart beat is so lovely.” She sighed. Together, we laid there for a while,
nothing but the sound of our slow, even breathing breaking the silence until her stomach rumbled. A small chuckle escaped me as I
looked down to see Taeyeon grinning sheepishly. “Sounds to me like you are a bit hungry.” I grinned before she replied with “Am not!”
Another growl sounding off from her stomach. I began to laugh. “Okay, maybe a little.” Taeyeon admitted, blushing. “How about we get
something to eat then? Would you like to go out, or eat here?” I asked. “She contemplated a mere moment before answering with
“What would you like to do?” “I think I would like to go out to breakfast,” I replied, “We ate here last night.” Taeyeon closed her eyes
and smiled, “Good choice! In that case, I will go shower. Wait your turn!” She jumped up and began walking away before turning back,
“I mean it, no peeking.” She began walking away once more, and a few moments later I heard a door shut and lock, and the shower
splutter on. I continued to lay on the couch, the steady drone of the water providing a metronome for me to daze off to.
A slight brushing feeling on my lips woke me up from my light slumber. I opened my eyes to see Taeyeon looking down at me
with a loving gaze. “It’s your turn to shower, baby.” She whispered. I groaned a bit before saying “Help me up!” and began to lift my
arms. Taeyeon grabbed my arms and began to pull, slowly lifting me up into a sitting position. “Now go! Hurry so we can go eat!”
Taeyeon practically yelled, another growl accentuating her statement. “I’m going! I’m going.” I replied before rushing to the bathroom to
take my shower. I rushed through the normal procedure, washing my face, body, and legs. Then washing my hair, and skipping
conditioner. I stepped out of the shower, and began to vigorously rub my body with the towel to dry myself, before getting dressed. I
chose my day’s attire and stepped out of the bathroom to see Taeyeon waiting for me, with her shoes already on, and her purse over
her shoulder. “Let’s go!” She said excitedly and held out her hand for me to grab. “Let’s go.” I agreed, and grabbed her hand before
walking out of the door.
