Chapter 14
A Love, Everlasting“I miss her.” I thought to myself. It had already been a few weeks since she left. The shrill ring of the phone invaded my thoughts and
my ears. I picked up the receiver and put it to my ear. “Hello?” I asked into the phone. “Hey, sweetheart.” Taeyeon’s voice drifted out of
the receiver. “I miss you so much. What are you doing?” “I was just thinking about you actually,” I smiled, “I was actually just about to
go run some errands. How is the tour going?” “Oh. The tour is going fine… Did you want to talk later?” Taeyeon asked sulkily. “I won’t
be gone long. Maybe an hour or so. I just have to go run a quick errand and pick up something to eat.” I answered. “Have you been
eating well?” Taeyeon’s voice sounded worried. “I have been surviving off sandwiches.” I chuckled slightly. “I will cook you real food as
soon as I get home.” Taeyeon promised, “Do you have to go now?” Her voice sounded pouty. “Yeah. But I will call you as soon as I get
back.” I responded. “I’ll be waiting… I love you.” Her voice trailed off slightly. “I love you too, Taeyeon.” I answered back before hanging
up the phone.
I walked to the counter and grabbed my keys before walking out the door, making sure to have it locked behind me. My stomach
rumbled slightly. “I guess I am going to the bakery first.” I mumbled to myself as I got into my car and turned the radio on. The silence
of my car being interrupted by the quiet radio and the groans of my stomach. After getting my Panini, I slowly walked to the park,
munching on my sandwich and being lost in thought. Finally, I came up to my spot of the park. The carefully tilled land smelling like
mulch was a welcoming sight. “So nice that they let me do this. I suppose it is a bit of a special occasion though.” I bent down and saw
sprouts coming out of the ground, bringing a smile to my face. “Excellent. The gardener is watering them perfectly.” The words
“Taeyeon, will you marry me?” Were already beginning to take shape. Slowly, methodically, I went through the patch finding any weeds
and disposing of them, making sure the patch of mulch stayed clean except for the flowers. “With all luck, these should be in bloom a
week before she comes home.” I thought to myself. Slowly, I walked away from the patch of earth and towards a fountain, making sure
to wash my hands of the dirt before walking back to my car. “I can’t wait till Taeyeon gets back home.” I thought to myself as butterflies
soared in my stomach. “I hope she says yes to me.” The drive back to my house was uneventful, and before I knew it, I was unlocking
my door, making my way inside straight towards the phone. I began to dialed in Taeyeon’s number and heard the ring twice before
Taeyeon picked up. “Hello?” Taeyeon’s sweet voice drifted through the receiver. “I’m back, baby.” I answered.
