Chapter 1
A Love, Everlasting
It was finally happening. I took my seat and gazed eagerly at the stage on which my favorite group was about to perform. My heart was
racing, so fast it felt as if it was trying to escape my chest. “How had this happened? That I ended up in the very front row? How had I
been this lucky?” I thought to myself. Excited chatter filled the air from the other fans and a brisk wind swept lazily through the concert
hall. Suddenly, the stage went dark. The chatter died down leaving an eerie silence which lasted only a few moments. Music filled the
arena as 9 girls began to sing. Girl’s Generation walked out on stage. A thunderous roar filled my ears as everyone got to their feet
and rushed forward, pushing me towards the stage, within feet of my idols.
I looked up to be greeted by the dark brown eyes and wide smile of Taeyeon, slightly breathless from her song. A shy smile
crept onto my face as I blushed. Taeyeon began walking back towards the other members to begin the introduction, giving a small look
back in my direction. The rest of the concert passed by in what seemed to be no time at all. My throat was beginning to be a bit hoarse
from all the yelling. The “Good bye’s” of Girls Generation echoing in my ears. I opened up my water bottle, and took a small sip, the
chill water feeling good on my throat as I gathered the rest of my things to begin my trek home. As I was about to leave, a small path
opened up to my right, and the concert security walked towards me. “You have been requested back stage, sir. I am here to
you.” The security guard said in a matter-of-fact tone. A small “What?” escaping my lips as my knees went weak. The security guard
spoke once again and grabbed my arm, “You have been requested back stage. I am here to you. Common, let’s go.” I trailed
behind him, trying my best to keep up with his brisk pace. Other fans looked at me, curiosity lighting up their face and slowing their
steps. Finally, we reached back stage, a small maze of hallways twisting off ahead of me. “Wait here.” Said the security before walking
a few feet ahead and stopping at a door on the right. The sound of his knocking echoed through the maze of hallways, returning to my
ears a second or two later. My heart was pounding in my chest. A muffled “Come in.” reached my ears and the guard opened the door
and walked in, shutting the door behind him. A short conversation reached my ears, too muffled to understand. Suddenly, the talking
stopped and the door opened. The guard moved to the side and from behind him stepped Taeyeon. “Hello!” Her beautiful voice rang
through my head. “My name is Kim Taeyeon. It’s very nice to meet you!”
