Second Kiss: Green-Eyed Cookie Monster

~*~Changmin's P.O.V.~*~

”Chagiya~” I said as I sneaked behind my beautiful wife, wrapped my arms around her and nuzzled on her neck.

”Oppa!” She gasped, shocked by the sudden skin ship. “You startled me…”

”Mianhe….” I whispered in her ear as I hugged her tight. “Chagiya…I’m hungry. Let’s go make cookies today, jebahl!”

”Oppa… I can’t I have to go meet Yunho-oppa in Starbucks today…” She said, releasing herself from my embrace. She turned around to give me a kiss on the cheek. I gave her a pout, hoping it would work.

“I just noticed, you’re always around Yunho-hyung these past few weeks. You’re starting to neglect me, Chagiya…” I whined childishly at her, while pouting cutely at her, hoping that my ‘charm’ would work on her. I wanted her to stay with me. What does she have to do with him anyway? She’s always meeting him and she rarely spends time with me. It’s so unfair. “Just stay and make cookies with me, jebahl…”

“I can’t, Oppa. Mianheyo. Besides, we don’t have ingredients for cookies anymore. I’ll just buy on my way home. I won’t take long, promise.” She said as she pinched my cheeks.

“Do you want me to take you there, Chagiya?” I asked, wanting to spend more time with her.  “I can drive for you.”

“It’s not necessary, oppa. Just stay here and rest…” She said as she put on her coat and grabbed her purse. “I’ll just take a taxi. I won’t take long.”

“Fine…” I muttered as I hung my head low, accepting my defeat. I winced when she pinched my cheeks and giggled.

“Aigoo~ My oppa is going to miss me…” She cooed as she pinched my cheeks harder.

“I’m not okay. I’m just upset that I’ll have to wait for my cookies.” I lied. Of course I’m gonna miss her. I want to spend more time with her. I was only using cookies as an excuse.

”Well, I have to go, now… Bye Oppa!” She said then gave me a kiss on the cheek.
I pouted as I lost to her and watched her leave.

I sat on the couch with my arms across my chest. It’s very lonely without Ri ah by my side. A second with out her feels like forever already. I’m also starting to feel suspicious about her frequent meetings with Yunho-hyung. She just saw him yesterday. Why does she need to see him today? What’s that important thing that she has to discuss with him anyway?

I couldn’t take it any longer. She was driving me crazy. I just had to know what her business is with my hyung. I decided to change my clothes and follow her and hyung. When I reached starbucks, I saw her and hyung drinking coffee. I took a seat near the table their table and pretended to read the news paper.

”So, how’s our plan going?” Yunho-hyung asked her.

’Plan? What plan?’

”Not that good. I can’t do it because Changmin-oppa’s getting really touchy now a days.” She replied as she set her coffee on the table.

”Oh…” Yunho-hyung simply replied with a chuckle. “He just can’t get enough of you, can he?”

“I think he’s starting to get suspicious…” She suddenly said. “What are we going to do, Yunho-oppa?”

’What the hell is their, secret? Is she having an affair with Hyung?’

”What made you think so?” He asked.

”Well, he’s been bombarding me with questions. He even used cookies as an excuse just to stop me from meeting you.” She giggled.

’Yah… She knew about it! Damn it!’

 I left the café and went home. I didn’t want her to be suspicious once she comes home with out me in the house. I tried to distract myself from what I just heard and saw back there in the café. Was she dating hyung behind my back? Does she not love me anymore? Did I do anything wrong? My Ri Ah… Could she really do something like that…

I flinched as I remembered what I heard her say…

”I think he’s starting to get suspicious… What are we going to do, Yunho-oppa?”

What the hell could I be suspicious for?

But my Ri Ah isn’t that kind of girl… She’s sweet, loving and faithful. She can’t do such a thing.

I kept on thinking about her and hyung’s secret. I cupped my chin with my thumb and index finger as I thought harder. I flinched and almost jumped out of the couch when I heard Ri Ah open the gate and enter the house. I decided to pretend nothing happened and shoved away my unhealthy thoughts inside my mind. I wasn’t sure yet. I shouldn’t accuse of her of something if I wasn’t sure and if I didn’t have any reliable resources that can serve as a proof.

”Oppa! I bought the ingredients already. Come on lets make some cookies!” She exclaimed excitedly as she put the bag of ingredients on the table and grabbed her pink apron with heart patterns. She handed me my blue apron with stars pattern. I decided to just forget what I heard and make cookies with her.

We made lots of cookies of different shapes and spent our time together, happily. I tried to distract myself and push away what I was suspecting that my Ri Ah would do. Ri ah seemed to notice that I was acting differently lately.

”Changmin-oppa… Are you alright?” She asked worriedly. “You’re acting weird lately. Is there something wrong?”

”I’m fine chagiya.  Don’t worry.” I assured her, then quickly shoved a cookie to my mouth, trying to calm myself and hide my feelings from her.

Few days later and her meetings with Yunho-hyung got more frequent. I was starting to get worried that my suspicion was true.

I sat on the couch and thought thoroughly as I waited for my beloved wife to comeback from another meeting with my older best friend. She was definitely driving me crazy.

’What if… she really feels something for Hyung?” I asked myself. It was something that I truly feared. I didn’t want to lose Ri Ah. I love her more then anything or anyone else in this world and of all the people she had to be very close with for the past few days, it just had to be Yunho-hyung. The only best friend I had that I’m insecure of.

 My phone suddenly rang. I looked at her caller ID and saw Ri Ah’s name and number.

”Yobeusaeyo.” I answered.

”Oppa. It’s me Ri Ah. Can you meet me in your old  dorm?” She asked.

”Waeyo? What are you doing in our old dorm, Chagiya?”

”It’s kind of a secret, oppa…” She said. “Can you just come?”

“Sure… I’m on my way…” I said.

“Ok… I love you oppa..” She said in her sweet voice.

“I love you too, Chagiya…” I said then hung up.

I changed my clothes and went to my old dorm. I wondered  why she wanted to see me in DBSK’s dorm.

I entered my old dorm. The lights were turned off. It felt as if no one was there.

“Chagiya~~” I called out as I switched the lights on.

”SURPRISE!” 

My friends and family were all there and they were holding a big banner that says: “SAENGIL CHUKHA HAMNIDA, CHANGMIN-AH!”

I looked at my watch and saw the date. It was February 18. I was 23 years old today. I forgot that today’s my birthday. Silly me. I guess I was too tired from all the schedules I had with my hyungs lately.

”Ri-ah called all of us to surprise you.” Ara said. “Happy B-day, Changmin-oppa!”

”It was all Ri Ah and Yunho-oppa’s idea.” Yuri said.

”Aigoo… The maknae’s twenty three today!” Yunho-hyung said as he gave me a pat on the back. “Happy b-day, Min-ah!”

”Saengil Chukha, Changmin-ah!” Jaejoong-hyung said. “Ri Ah and I baked you a cake…”

”Thanks…” I said. “Hyung, where exactly is Ri Ah?” I asked when all of a sudden someone covered my eyes.

”Yah… Ri Ah…. Is that you?” I asked as I touched the certain person’s hand.

”Who else could it be.” Ri Ah said as she uncovered my eyes. I turned around to hug her tight.

”Happy birthday, Oppa. I love you.” She said.

”Yah! Did you know how worried I was?!” I scolded as I released her from my hug. “You were always going out and meeting with Yunho-hyung! You were keeping something from me! I started to think you were cheating on me or something!”

”Yah!” Yunho-hung shouted. “What made you think of such thing?!”

”Well, I wouldn’t have suspected it if I didn’t hear Ri Ah say : Yunho-oppa, I think Changmi-oppa’s starting to get suspicious, What should I do?”

”Yah! You were spying at us!” Yunho-hyung accused as he pointed his finger at me, making me step backward.

”Yah… it’s … it’s not like that….” I defended, stammering. “I just did that… out of… Out of… jealousy,,,”

I hung my head low. I hated to admit it but I had no choice.

”Aigoo~ My husband is so cute!” She said. “You love me that much, huh?”

“Yah… Shut up!” I hissed as I looked away trying to hide my blush.

”You know I could never do such a thing, Oppa. I love you so much…” My Ri Ah said as she cupped my cheeks.

”I know… It’s just I couldn’t help but get insecure when you’re with Yunho-hyung. I mean you know him…. He’s handsome and talented… and I kind of envy him… I couldn’t help but become jelous when you’re with him.” I admitted.

”I still have it… My charm…” Yunho-hyung said as he smiled smugly to himself. Damn. He’s being egoistic again. I never should’ve admitted those things in front of him.

Ara immediately smacked him hard on the head, after hearing her boyfriend praise himself.

”Yah, baby, what was that for!?” He complained as he touched the aching bump on his that he earned from Ara’s smack.

”You’re being narcissistic  again, oppa…”

”What, it was a fact!” He said.

“Shut up or I’ll punch you harder!” Ara warned.

Ri Ah and I couldn’t help but chuckle at the couple.

”I love you, oppa…” RI Ah told me. “Don’t ever forget that.”

”I won’t, chagiya.” I assured her.

“Saranghe”  I whispered to her ear then gave her a sweet kiss.

”Awwwww….” The people around us cooed. “So Sweet.”

”Yah get a room will yah!” Yunho Hyung shouted. There was an evident blush in Ri Ah’s cheeks. I gave my Hyung a glare. Doesn’t mean that he’s the leader and I’m the maknae, he can already tease me like that.
