A.N. Just so you know, my inspiration for this one shot is the Campbell’s Alphabetsoup I found in the grocery store when I was shopping for food with my mom….

Fifth Kiss: Alphabet Soup

It was one usual morning for Ri Ah. She has had that habit of doing chores early in the morning and with Changmin living in one apartment with her, she has learned to become more responsible in the household management. She finished cleaning and cooking. She looked at her watch and it was time to wake her sleepy ‘cookie monster’ for work. She took her apron off and merrily skipped to Changmin’s room.

“Oppa… Wakey wakey…” She said in the cutest tone she could muster.

“Mmm…” Changmin groaned sleepily as he turned away from Ri Ah and covered his face with his doughnut pillow.

“Oppa, you have work… DBSK oppas will get mad at you if you get late for rehearsals…” She said as she lightly shook Changmin’s body…

Changmin didn’t respond as kept his eyes closed. He has never felt so heavy in the morning before. He knew he had to get up but just didn’t feel so good. His head felt so heavy and his stomach felt weird he also couldn’t breathe properly, but Ri Ah didn’t know what was going on with him.

‘Oppa, wake up, jebahl…” She pleaded as she wrapped her arms around him. Her eyes widened in shock as she felt how literally hot Changmin was. His body temperature was so high that he was almost burning. Ri Ah immediately stood up to get a thermometer to check his temperature, only to find out that he has a fever…

“Omo, oppa you’re sick….” Ri ah said worriedly. “Stay here and rest… “

“I’ll be fine, Chagi.” Changmin insisted as he tried to stand up. “I can’t be absent for rehearsals…  Our concert is in less than a month. We have to prepare for that.”

“I’m sure, all of your hyungs will understand. I’ll give them a call so they won’t worry… “She assured him with a smile.

“But-

“No ‘buts.’ Just stay here and rest. Don’t force yourself.” She said as she lightly pushed him to lay down on the bed. “I’ll call DBSK oppas and buy you some medicine.”

With that, she left him in his room to do as she said. She gave Yunho a call since he is the leader.

“Changmin-ah is sick? Well, make sure he rests, takes his medicine on time and eats a lot. Tell him that he doesn’t have to worry about not attending the rehearsals. His health is more important than the concert. We’ll just help him catch up with the steps when he comes back…” Yunho reminded, being the mature and caring leader that he is.

“Thank you so much for understanding, Yunho-oppa.”

“Don’t mention it. It’s my duty as the leader…”

After the little chat with DBSK’s leader,  Ri Ah left the apartment to buy medicine for Changmin. Changmin was left alone in his room with a severe head ache and with nothing to do.

“Aish… I hate getting sick….” He complained  as he stared at the ceiling and pouted. “Yunho-hyung and the others will probably scold me again and I bet I’m being such a burden to my dear Ri Ah… Aishh…”

Minutes or an hour passed and Ri Ah hasn’t come back yet. Changmin was starting to worry.

‘What if she got tired of cooking for me and left?’

‘What if she went with a man who doesn’t eat too much, so she won’t get so tired anymore…?”

‘What if she took her chance to leave me because I’ve always been so mean to her whenever we play video games?”

‘Perhaps she found someone who doesn’t watch on regular basis?’

‘Or someone who’s less sarcastic unlike me?’

‘What if she was kidnapped?!’

‘Or what if some psycho fan girl just killed her? Omona! I have to save her!’

 Bizarre thoughts and ideas came into Changmin’s mind.

‘Otteoke!!!!’

After unsuccessfully processing the thoughts and unsuccessfully calming down, Changmin stood up from his state in spite of his condition. He went grabbed his jacket and went downstairs. He got his keys and opened the door to go outside only to find Ri Ah standing behind the door with a lot of grocery bags on the door step.

“Changmin-oppa? I told you to rest, didn’t I?” Ri Ah tilted her head in confusion….

“Well…. You see… I….” Changin stammered. He gulped hard as his girlfriend looked at him suspiciously.
“Yah! You were trying to escape while I’m gone!” Ri Ah accused angrily

“I… I wasn’t….” Changmin gulped hard. He has never been this scared of anyone ever before. He could talk back to Yunho and his other hyungs. But he couldn’t do it to Ri Ah…  He knows that behind that sweet girl is one evil girl friend. She wasn’t easy to please once she gets mad.  Also, if he disobeys  her, he knows what’s going to happen…

Make Ri Ah mad and you’ll get no cookies…. Got it?

“Waahhhh… Ri Ah… I’m sorry but let me explain!!!” He begged as he pouted cutely.

“Go to your room right now, SHIM CHANGMIN!” She shouted.

“But-

“NO BUTS!!!!” She cut him off, making him wince in fright.

“Yes Ma’am!” With that he went to his room and obeyed what she said. He let his body fall on the bed and sulked.

“I got misunderstood again… Hmph… I was only worried about her that’s why I attempted  to leave…. Aish! But then again… She was only worried about me that’s why she got mad… aigoo…”

After that realization Changmin drifted to sleep. All those panicking and stuttering made him tired.

 

Changmin’s eyes fluttered open at the sound of an angelic voice…

“Oppa, wake up, your food is ready…”

His eyes opened at the sight of his girlfriend with a sweet smile and a tray of food in her hands.

“Sit up straight and eat your meal. I made those for you so that you’ll get well right away and be ready for your concert in no time!” She said cheerily as she set the tray on his lap.

Changmin’s eyes widened at the set of food in front of him. She did put a lot of effort and love in preparing those for him.





“I thought you were mad at me…” Changmin said as he looked at her guiltily. Ri Ah could only giggle at what he said and at how he looked at her.
“Mad at Changmin-oppa? How could I get mad at my cookie monster?” She asked. “I was only worried about you, oppa, but I wasn’t mad. Besides, even if I was mad, I could never stay mad at you for so long… See that Alphabet soup I made for you? Hahaha… I spent a lot of time making a good presentation of that soup for you so you better eat it before it gets cold…”

Changmin looked at the soup in the tray and he smiled at how sweet Ri Ah was… Ri Ah prepared alphabet soup for him and she even arranged the letters in a more creative way.



“Komawoyo…  Ri ah…” He said and he smiled at her to give her a kiss on the forehead. “Thank you for being understanding…”

“Aigoo…. It’s because I love you that’s why…” She giggled. “Why did you try to escape anyway?”

Changmin gulped hard at the question…

“Err…. Well you see….”
 

“Oh my goodness… He what?!” Yunho laughed hard at Ri Ah’s story.

“I know right? I couldn’t believe it either…” Ri Ah giggled.

“I didn’t know that Changmin has a dorky side too…” Yoochun chukled…

“That’s unbelievable. I should have seen the look on his face. That way, I could have my revenge for all those times that he bullied me…” Junsu said, laughing

“Oh shut up you guys!” Changmin complained as he covered his ears and blushed a deep shade of red.

“You must really love Ri Ah, maknae-ah…” Jaejoong said with a smile, patting the youngest member of DBSK…

“I do… I really do and I was worried…” Changmin murmured, pouting.

“Omo, oppa… You know I love you, neh?” Ri ah said as she pinched Changmin’s cheek.

“I know…” Changmin smiled as he rubbed his cheek, the one that RI Ah pinched…

He knows Ri Ah loves him…

because the soups says so… ;)
 

A.N. It’s been a long time since I updated this! I’m sorry for making you all wait… Well, Here you have it! The fifth Kiss! 25 more to go and we’re done! Hahaha…
