Determined
Quiet & troublemakerWoo Bin walked Yu Jin to her house. They both walked in silence, but this time it was awkward. She was thinking about how to help him. She didn't work that many hours at her job. She thought that she could skip school for the week and try some daily jobs.. But she wouldn't be able to make more then $1000. She understood why Woo Bin was so angry. They couldn't make that much money and something bad would happen. They arrived at her doorsteps and Yu Jin was about to enter her house. But a hand grabbed her wrist.
-I'm sorry, he said, I shouldn't have ever gotten close to you. Don't go out alone. Call me if there's anything suspicious around you, okay? I'll protect you.
He let go of her and walked away. His hands in his pockets and his head low. Yu Jin didn't even have time to reply, he was already gone. She walked inside and locked the doors behind her. She changed into something comfortable and texted Woo Bin to make sure he got home safely. She was worried about him and scared for herself. She hadn't met him that long ago and she was already into this. Everything was moving so fast. She opened her wallet and looked inside. There was fifty dollars. She took it and looked at it. She never really had thought about money. Her family wasn't rich, but they had enough money to live well. She always thought money was good, but she was realizing that there was also an ugly side to it. A very ugly one. Why were people so attached to a piece of paper? Most of us just spend without thinking, even more at a young age. Then we grow up and we regret not saving anything..
She called her manager and asked him if she could work more time during the weekend and if she could have her pay in advance. Luckily, he accepted and she got her pay for the next 2 weeks and was working some extra hours. A total of $1120.. She tried to find a daily job that she could do at home or at school. She found one that required her to sew buttons on small dolls. She would get paid $2 per doll. She could make some money, after all.
She went out to pick up the dolls. She biked because she didn't want to use her money on a taxi or bus. Every cent counted. She knew Woo Bin would be angry if he knew that she was going out by herself, but she thought he was probably already at home, so he wouldn't know.
She had the box of dolls and she tied it to her blue bike. She was biking and stopped in front of a restaurant. There he was. Kim Woo Bin. He looked so tired but he was still smiling to the customers and working hard. She felt bad for him.
-Even thought he works all the time, he still doesn't make enough money.
Yu Jin recognized the voice and turned around fast to look at the man. She felt sick to her stomach.
-I see you're helping him.. But I don't think you guys will make enough money. I'll see you in a week, Seo Yu Jin, he laughed and walked away.
She was breathing again. And jumped on her bike, determined to make as much money as possible.
This is going kind of slowly now.. Will they be able to make enough money? What will happen after a week? Are you guys enjoying the story?
This is kind of a short update. I'll be posting another chapter soon. Maybe after my job, I'll try to update. I'd gladly give some of my pay to them, haha.
