‘Bright… Everything is too bright’ Amber thought as he opened his eyes, he felt weightless as if he is floating in the air. He inhaled deeply like it was his first time to breathe… he immediately feels the burning pain in his throat.. ‘What is happening to me?’ He asked himself as he touched his neck.. He tried to gulp but it was so painful.

 

“You’re awake!”  He heard an excited voice beside him.. That’s when he notices that there are three girls hovering him… one with tearful eyes and the two with undeniable curiosity.  Amber felt like he just saw heaven when he saw their faces. It’s the first time he saw such beauties.. Breathe taking.   “Omo..  He looks cooler than I thought he will be..” Said the tallest girl said who still gawking at his face.  Her dark brown eyes were shinning as she look straight at him.   “I don’t think he is conscious yet.. He just opened his eyes”  he heard the shortest one told the tall girl, she looks like a doll as her features were small and delicate.   “Do you think.. There’s a problem with him, Unnie?” The last one said with a worried voice, Amber can see her gorgeous eyes beads tears as she spoke. He confusedly looks at the three girls who are now staring at each other.   “W-Where am I?” He tried to speak but his throat was really dry, he barely made any sound. All the eyes darted to him with surprise, none of the girls made any move they just stared at him.   Amber weakly lift himself to sitting position on the bed, he roamed his eyes to his surroundings he felt an odd fear when he discovers that he is not in his room.    “Thank goodness you’re awake!” the girl in tears hugged him tightly.   “Who are you? Where am I?” He confusedly said as she pushed her gently, this girl makes him uncomfortable, maybe it’s because the way she smells… she makes him feel hungry. He was so thirsty all of a sudden.   The girl smiled at him with a hopeful expression.. “My name is Krystal, you are in our home”   Amber’s brows furrowed as he looks at the girl’s face, then it finally hit him.. “You’re that girl!” He blurted as he immediately went off of the bed, giving distance between him and the girls.. Even he is shocked on how fast he moved. ‘What’s happening to me?’ he thought in panic, he absentmindedly touched his neck as he recalled that the Vampire bit him last night.   “Y-yes… You saved me” Krystal tried to reach out of the guy but he quickly avoided him..   “Krystal… I guess it will be better not to rush him like that he looks agitated” Sunny advised...”I will get Jessica and Taeyeon” she added before she vaulted outside the room.   Amber watched the short girl left in awe, she gracefully skipped outside with fast speed.. He harshly turned his head to the two remaining girls.   “What are you?! What you have done to me?” He snapped at the two dangerously.   “Hey! What’s your problem?” the taller girl asked him in an irritated manner.   “Unnie..” Krystal holds Sooyoung’s arms   “You’re not humans” Amber said accusingly as he stepped backwards until his back reached the wall.   Sooyoung scoff sarcastically while Krystal was looking at the man with pleading eyes.   “You’re monsters!” Amber said with shaking voice.   “Ok that’s it!” Sooyoung yelled as she charges to the man grabbing his collar.   “UNNIE!!” Krystal shouted in horror as she saw her Sooyoung unnie lost her patience, she held her arms again “Unnie, please let this pass, he is still confuse” Krystal begged the older girl, but Sooyoung seems not listening to their maknae.   Amber look at the tall girl’s eyes, he gritted his teeth as he saw her pupils’ changes color it’s enough to confirmed that the woman is a vampire. “Get off me you blood er!” he said as he tried to free himself with the woman’s grip.   Sooyoung didn’t let go instead she threw the man across the room slamming his back on the wall.   “Unnie!” Krystal cried as she run towards the young blood.
  “As early as now mind your manners towards your elders” Sooyoung hissed to the man. “Because next time you will surely get it “she added as her eyes turned to brown again.   Krystal tried to help Amber but the man just shoves her hands away with a disgusted look.  He swiftly stands by himself as he glared at Sooyoung.  “Why would I respect the likes of you?” He mocked.   “Please stop” Krystal said as she stepped between the two, she knows what her Sooyoung unnie’s patience was running out again.   Sooyoung just smiled slyly. “Why not ask yourself?”   Amber felt an overwhelming feeling as he realized the girl meant. “No!” he yelled as he finds his way out of the room.   “Wait please!” Krystal tried to stop the man “You’re still weak! Please listen to me!”  She followed the man who was about to step out of the house.   Amber turned sharply to the young girl “You made me like this! It’s your fault!!”  He pushed the girl away from him, not knowing his new strength, he found the girl flying but out of nowhere she was catched by the tall woman.   “Yah!” Sooyoung shouted at Amber, but the man didn’t even flinch, instead he step out and run towards the woods.   Krystal was still stunned looking at the open door.   “So you know now Krystal” Sooyoung muttered which made the younger girl look up to her. “Young bloods are nothing but headache” She gritted her teeth reminding herself to teach the man a lesson when she gets her hands to him.     +++++++++ Taeyeon was sitting on an oversized chair in the center of their library; she was seriously looking at the blonde who is phasing back and forth across the room. She was like that since they have arrived from the woods last night and as soon as they set foot in the house Jessica went straight to the library. Leaving the still changing young blood to the others.   Taeyeon sighed as she looks at her troubled friend; Jessica was reading an old book about young bloods as she tirelessly walks.   She can understand that the girl is worried… They all are.   “Sica… you’re making me dizzy” Taeyeon finally said as she massages her right temples this phasing has been going on for the last 12 hours.   Jessica on the other hand stops with the red book on her hand. “This is serious Taeyeon, I just turned a hunter.”   “Don’t worry about that too much...” Taeyeon stopped when Jessica give her glare. “As I was saying, a young blood is a young blood… a hunter or not you will be connected by blood he will not betray you for at least a hundred years”   Jessica put the book on the table as she looks straight at her friend. “Taeyeon, both of us knows that there’s no vampire in our history that made a young blood out of a hunter, how can you be so sure?”   Taeyeon reached for Jessica’s hands.. “Don’t worry, we will figure this out”   “How can I not worry? What if we don’t have the time?” Jessica asked in urgency   “What do you mean?”   “Hunters don’t just come out of nowhere Taeyeon, what if they are others with that boy?” She asked worriedly.   “Jessica.. Mystic Abbey is the safest place for us.” Taeyeon assured Jessica, the forest of the island is their best protector...as long as the charms are working they will stay concealed.   “Taeyeon have you forgotten that a vampire tried to harm Krystal last night, that’s why we are in this situation at the first place” Jessica bit her nails as she walked towards the window.   Taeyeon almost forgot about it, Krystal did say that a vampire attacked her and it was eliminated by the young blood. “Maybe it’s a rouge vampire”   “Maybe? Taeyeon we can’t guess.. I have a feeling that we are no longer safe here. There’s a huge threat that the Dark Council is already after us. What if they sent the vampire that attacked Krystal?  Rouge or not, if the council found out that a vampire was killed under our territory they will hold us under investigation.”   “Jessica you’re over thinking things.” The shorter girl patted her friends shoulder. The girl looked back with a sigh.   “I will die if something bad happened to the four of you” Jessica whispered.   “Nothing bad will happen, I won’t let them touch anyone of you” Taeyeon hugged the blonde, she honestly don’t know what to do anymore. Jessica gave out valid reasons for them to flee again, but that decision needs a lot of considerations to do.   Jessica hugged back to Taeyeon.. “I know.. I trust you” she smiled weakly, the older girl never fails to calm her down, she trust her words like how she trust her own.     Taeyeon gave her a kiss on her cheek. “Stop worrying okay..” she smiled at the blonde while patting her hair.   Jessica just returned the smile to her friend. Both of them are still in that position when the door swung opened revealing Sunny.
