A week had gone past since Kris first saw the girl and he had no clues on where to find her. He had looked around the town for any sign of her he even asked some people but no one knew who she was. He wasn’t going to give up though.

“Aren’t you excited” Victoria broke Kris’ chain of thought.  “Yes I am” Kris replied.  He was going to get his car back in a few days. However Victoria was not convinced by his blunt answer. “If you don’t want it back I can get it off you hands” she was trying her luck. Kris rolled his eyes. It wasn’t the first time she tried to pull a stunt like this. “I think I’ll keep it” his statement brought a frown on Victoria’s face.

Victoria turned his attention back to the movie they where watching. It’s not that Kris wasn’t excited, he was actually pretty happy about not taking rides from Lay or taking the bus anymore. To be honest he couldn’t wait to have his baby back. However something else was on his mind. And the fact that he didn’t know a single detail about her, not even her name, pissed him off.

“Victoria, where do you think is the best place to find information on someone?” Kris asked. He knew she was the only person who took pride in knowing other people’s business. “Just go on the internet and type in their name” she sated as if it was something even a child knew. “What if you don’t know the person’s name?”.

 Victoria thought for a moment. “Does this person live in our town?”

“I think so”

“Do you know what this person looks like?”

“Yes”

“Then you should check out the public records at the city library”

That’s a good idea Kris thought. He immediately got up fro the couch and grabbed his coat. “Where you going” Victoria asked. “To the public library” he headed for the door. “Who are you stalking?” Victoria asked wanting to know more. “I’m stalking anyone” Kris replied frustrated. “Just tell me, is it a boy or girl?” She had to have a little info. “A girl” Kris said defeated. Victoria sighed in relief “Good I was getting worried” Victoria let out a giggled alerting Kris to her joke.

Half an hour later Kris was in the library and he was checking out the public records on one of the computers. However he couldn’t since they where password protected. “How can public records need a password” He sighed in frustration. “Shh” the librarian shot a death stare in Kris’ direction. He just ignored her.

Since he couldn’t look into personal identity he decided to check out the old newspaper section. This was a very small town and nothing ever happened here so pretty much anything was news worthy. Even Kris was on the local paper one  for his eight grade science project. He figured she would be in one of these old papers.

After hours of searching with no results Kris came across the story Victoria was talking about and decided to check it out. He scrolled down as he read the paper and surprisingly Victoria’s details where spot on. “She died spring of 2001 at the age of 18” Kris read out loud.  He also found out that the woman’s name was Seo Joohyun and she died on her way into town. Victoria was right about that too. How did she know all this? One would think that between all her college assignments and part time Job she would only have time to eat and sleep in her spare time.

Kris scrolled to the end of the article where a picture of the girl was available and he gasped when he saw it. That face, the long hair black cascading down a perfectly defined bone structure, the snow white skin.“It’s her”.
