As Hebe gotten closer Hebe watched the gang from a fair distance, they were starting to group together. The gang was heading to a lonely street; they were meeting up with someone or something. It wasn’t long until another gang was seen on the dark street. Hebe quietly watched the scene as she tensed up feeling the sense of danger coming closer. As the opposing gang stopped before the no man’s land they divided leaving a pathway for someone to walk through, it must have been their leader. Hebe instantly recognised that person any where, it was Ella. Hebe eyes almost popped out, she couldn’t believe what she was seeing. So this was Ella’s so called job Hebe thought, Hebe was furious, her fist clench but her heart pounded at what was about to happen.

The gangs appeared angry, they were swinging their weapons and was ready to attack. In a split second the roaring crowd turned into a chaotic war. Hebe watched carefully, to see if Ella was hurt or not, they were obviously no match to Ella. Hebe rushed out towards Ella as she saw a guy attacking Ella from behind. “Watch out!” Hebe screamed as she knocked the guy out.

“Hebe! Are you alright?” Ella said running over to Hebe

“I should be asking you that! And why are you fighting on the street? Who are all these people? Tell me what’s going on Ella!” Hebe demanded

“I’ll explain, come with me” Ella said taking Hebe to her car

Ella expression became serious; she wanted Hebe to listen and understand her ‘job’ and not get angry with her.

“I’m a bad person; I do things you wouldn’t like to hear about”

Hebe listened carefully as her facial expression changed

“I’m everything you think I am, a drug dealer, a gangster, anything illegal” Ella tried to be as honest as she could, even though she knew Hebe would not forgive her.

Hebe was speechless for a while; it took her some time to take in what she had heard.

“I know you can’t forgive me for lying to you like this” Ella said as she grabbed onto Hebe’s hand

“Ella, do you love me?” Hebe asked

“Of course I do” Ella replied looking in Hebe’s eyes

“Then can you give up all this for me?” Hebe looked deeper in Ella’s eyes for an answer

“I …” Ella mind was confused, she struggled to find an answer, was she able to give up her position and everything else?

Hebe felt Ella’s confusion; they both needed time to figure it out.

“Find me when you’re done” Hebe said leaving to her car

“Hebe!” Ella called out too late. Ella was still seeking an answer.

In the following week Ella and Hebe had some time apart, Ella thought of Hebe every second of the day. She missed Hebe by her side, Ella wasn’t doing anything right, and her mind was always elsewhere. She tried to focus on work until she could figure out what her plans was.

Hebe waited everyday for Ella’s appearance or even a phone call she was afraid what Ella’s answer was going to be.

“Hebe!” Rainie called, but Hebe was in her own world

“Hebe, there’s an order” Rainie called again

“Huh what?” Hebe finally woke up from her thoughts

“You haven’t been yourself lately, what’s up?”

“Nothing” Hebe said blankly

“I’m sure there is, I haven’t seen Ella lately too” Rainie reminded Hebe

“She’s busy”

“Busy? How can she be so busy that she has no time for her girlfriend?” Rainie questioned

“I don’t know and I don’t care” Hebe mumbled

In the late afternoon Ella was at home watching T.V, though she wasn’t paying attention to what the program was about.

“Miss are you okay?” Assistant chang asked, he felt that Ella was acting strange lately, not being her self at all. He was starting to feel worried that something might have happened.

“I’m okay” Ella answered unsurely

“You can tell me, I know more than you think”
Ella stayed silent; she couldn’t figure what to say

“It about Hebe right?”

“Yeah, she found out about me, she caught me fighting downtown”

“I see, well did she not forgive you?”

“She told me to choose, either to quit my job or break up” Ella continued

“I don’t know what to do”

“Do you love her?” He asked

“I do”

“Then that all that matters”

“Your right, why should anything matter more than Hebe?”

“I know it’s hard to choose between power and love, but you have to find out what you need more and then the answers will come to you”

“Thank you so much!” Ella said giving assistant Chang a surprised hug

Ella rushed out to her car; she wanted to get to Hebe as soon as possible. Now she has found the answers to what she really needed. Ella started her engine and reverse out onto the road. While she was driving her phone suddenly rang.

“Hello?” Ella answered

“Hey Ella, its Danson”

“What up?”

“I got an assignment for you” Danson said

“Oh? I’ll meet up with you later I got something I need to do now, bye” Ella ended

Once Ella reached the café Ella entered quickly and wnet straight to where Hebe was standing. Ella grabbed onto Hebe’s wrist and pulled her out of the café without saying a word.

“Hey!” Hebe exclaimed

“Hebe I love you” Ella said as she pulled Hebe into an embrace and then kissed her lips.

“You decided?” Hebe asked after breaking from kiss

“Yeah, I need you more than anything into his world, I wouldn’t give you up for anything” Ella looked deep into Hebe’s eyes and spoke with honesty

“I love you too!” Hebe said happily as she grabbed onto Ella and pulled her into a deeper kiss.

Later that night Ella met up with Danson to tell him she was giving up her position and was quitting the gang, Ella drove to a club where they met in private. As Ella entered the door, she saw Danson sitting comfortably with two girls in his arms.

“Hey”

“Hello Ella”

“Hey Dnason I got something to tell you”

Danson gestured the girls to move out, he gave them a kiss before letting them leave

“I want to quit” Ella said without hesitation

“You what? Why?” Danson was shocked

“I don’t want to do this anymore”

“You can’t just quit like that? What about our mates? Our deals? The money!” Danson yelled out

“I know, I know but I don’t see those as important anymore”

“Not important? What is then?”

“Love” Ella answered sternly

“Love? What are you talking about?” Danson was angry and confused at the same time

“You can still do your job”

“No, she doesn’t want me to do this, so I rather quit than to lose her” Ella explained further

“I’m sorry” Ella added

“I’ll support you all the way but on one condition, you have to participate in this last mission before quitting because I have already told our mates we’re in this one together” Danson said seriously

“Okay that would fine with me” Ella agreed

“We’re heading out tonight, it’s a bit of a hurry but its urgent, the shipping is happening tonight. You’ll meet with the drug dealer near the jetty”

“Sounds good, I know how it rolls. You can count on me” Ella assured

“I know I could, good luck”

“Bye” Ella said before leaving

Before midnight Ella headed out with her gang to where the shipment took place. Ella instructed her mates to guard the surroundings while she waited for the dealers to come. As the clock strike 12 the ships arrived, everyone headed out as they were ordered they acted fast as possible.

“Hello, you have the money?” The man asked after Ella checked the boxes

“Of course, here” Ella said taking the suit case from her mate

“Freeze!” A warning was sent from the surrounding

Ella freezes on the spot and searched the area to find where the voice came from, from the corner of her eye she saw a group of police hiding in the corner. Ella quickly threw the case and shouted run to her gang before she rolled out of the way avoiding the shootings. Ella hid behind a large truck and took out her gun. A continuous fire followed as everyone tried to escape form the police. Ella felt something flowing out for her right arm from where she was shot before. Ella held on her arm tightly to stop the blood from flowing out. Ella checked her bullets, she only had one left, was her luck running out? Ella noticed a gas tank not far from her, Ella had an idea, it was her last chance for her to get out of this mess. From where she was, Ella ran towards the jetty as she fired a shot at the gas tank aiming as accurate as possible. Ella then leaped into the water as the gas tank exploded.
Hebe was having bad luck all morning the next day, everything she did went wrong. Hebe tried ringing Ella but no one picked up. At break time Hebe call the day off to go to Ella house to see if she was at home.

“Hi”

“Hello Hebe”

“Is Ella home?” Hebe asked

“I’m afraid not, she hasn’t been home since last night. Maybe she was out drinking” Assistant Chang replied

“Ah I see”

Hebe then left to go home; maybe Ella would ring her later Hebe tried assuring herself. Hebe waited at home for the whole day for Ella’s phone call but still there was no one. Hebe was getting frustrated; maybe Ella went out drinking again? Hebe thought. So she headed out to the night club to find Ella or someone who knew where she was. Hebe searched around but awhile she still couldn’t find Ella, Hebe sat down for a rest and had drink. In the far side Hebe saw some of Ella’s mates following a guy into the corridor and into a room. Hebe figured they might know something so she quickly went over to where they entered and peaked outside.

“Hahaha, I knew it she wouldn’t last in this business, I told you I’ll get her back one day” a younger guy said sitting opposite the older guy with the moustache

“Congrats”

“Well without your help I wouldn’t be able to get rid of her”

“No problem” the older guy said

“Ella is no match for me, too bad it didn’t last long. Luckily I got my men to disguise into her gang”

“She should be gone for good, I heard the jetty exploded into bits, no one should have survived” He continued

Hebe covered as she tried to breathe in and out. Tears had already rolled down her cheeks and her heart was beating in fear.

“Danson, I thought Ella was your good mate, how come you wanted to get rid of her?”

“Well she asked for it, she wanted to leave for her girlfriend and what better way than to let the cops do it?”

“Hahaha she deserves it, I’m glad you came to the right person” The younger said

Hebe ran from the room and outside into the open air, Hebe let out her tears and she started to cry not caring what people though of her. Hebe got a taxi to the jetty to see it for her self. Once she reached the jetty she cried even harder. Even though the place was cleaned up there were tapes around the area and many things that were destroyed were left. Was Ella forever gone? Did Ella really leave her all alone?
