CHAPTER 16:

DARA

The song started, Bom and I looked at each other with worried expressions. Our partners are now fixed there standing. We tried to shake them but nothing happened, they were still there, not taking their eyes from their sister. Yes, Dami is their sister. I sighed and nodded at Bom, we both held their hand and squeezed them, TOP looked at Bom but mine didn’t, ugh! JIYONG!

“The music’s already starting…” I nodded at Bom as they vanished to somewhere on the dance floor, I sighed for the nth time, I stared at Jiyong, his right eye is in tears but his left isn’t.  I shook my head, I faced him, placed my palm on his face and called him,

“Jiyong…” I felt him move now, his brown orbs looked at mine, I smiled

“Sorry, I…” I cut him off

“The song has started… Let’s go” he just nodded at me, we went near Bom and TOP and I placed my arms around his neck, his hands on my waist as we swayed to the music… I gulped, hearing the song, gives me shivers. I looked at him and he’s staring intently at me,

“You alright?” I asked and he nodded at me,

Time stands still,

Beauty in all she is,

I will be brave,

I will not let anything take away,

What’s standing in front of me…

Every hour has come to this,

I held my breath, gahhh! His stares are penetrating, I can’t look away, I stared back at him, shaking a little, I think he felt that I was shaking so he pulled me a lot closer to him, and I just can’t get enough of his warmth… I rested my head on his chest as I felt his cheeks on my right side, I sighed

One step closer…

We swayed together to the music, there’s nothing wrong here right? I tightened my hold on him, hugging him from his neck and I felt him hug back. I don’t know, but I feel like comforting this man in front of me. He was there when I needed someone, even though I literally shooed him away every time he would fix things Bom made.

“Thank you” I muttered, closing my eyes, I felt him shook his head

“What?” I asked

“Why are you saying thank you?”

“For everything, even though I shooed you away several times. Thank you for trying to fix things even though it is not your duty to do so. I don’t know, since I became a vampire, you were always there for me so yeah… I guess that’s a thank you for that” I heard him chuckle

“You’re weird Dara” His voice is so soothing, he said my name, it sounded so comforting.

“Thank you, Jiyong” I just couldn’t get enough of saying thank you. Abruptly, I heard my sister coughing endlessly, we broke our hug-dance whatever it is and looked at my sister and TOP grinning ear to ear, I raised a brow, me and jiyong are totally mirroring each other now for my expression’s the same as his,

“Sorry for interrupting a great moment, but can I talk to my granddaughters?” I didn’t turn around as I saw Bom’s eyes widen in horror.

“Dara?” I slowly turned around to see him face to face
