Chapter 6
What Happens in Seoul~Natalie's POV~
After having a bit of a breakdown, I tried to take my mind off of things by finding something to watch on TV. I started watching a Korean drama, but I wasn't able to follow what was going on, even if I had been able to concentrate on it for more than a few minutes, because there were no subtitles. I think the main guy had just found out that his ex's new boyfriend was actually his long lost brother, when my mind began to wonder yet again.
Desperately trying to find something else to occupy myself with, I pulled out my cell phone. I stared at Seunghyun's name in my contact list for a moment, then called the number.
"Yoboseyo?"
"Seunghyun? It's Natalie," I said, my voice cracking a bit at the end as I tried not to cry anymore.
"Oh, hey Natalie!" he said excitedly. "Is…something wrong? You sound kind of upset."
"Yeah, just… I lost something that was unbelievably important to me…but I shouldn't be concerning you with it, so don't worry. I was just hoping we could…talk. You know, to get my mind off it."
"Well, I hope you find it. So…what do you want to talk about then?"
"I don't know. What are you up to right now?"
"Just watching TV. Today's been really good, since me and the rest of the guys got the whole day off…and I got to meet you."
He laughed embarrassedly at that last part, and I giggled.
"…You have a cute laugh," he added.
I was suddenly glad I wasn't talking to him in person, because he would have seen that I was blushing. I did tend to blush very easily, though.
"So what are you doing?" he asked.
"Watching TV, too. I really don't get what's going on though, so I'm not sure why I'm even bothering," I replied.
"What are you watching?"
I attempted to tell him the name of the show, but I probably pronounced it wrong, even though the Romanized title had been right underneath the Hangul title.
"Oh, that's a rerun then. I've seen the season finale. His brother ends up marrying his ex, but then kills their father before escaping on a freight train headed to Taiwan, never to be seen again."
"…Wow. I guess it's not called a 'drama' for nothing."
He laughed. "Definitely."
"Guess what? I tried Korean food for the first time today." I said proudly.
"Oh really? What did you eat?"
"…I have no idea," I replied, and he just laughe
