Chapter 2
What Happens in Seoul~Natalie’s POV~
When I finally awoke, I learned that our flight had arrived at the Incheon International Airport in South Korea. I moved along with the sluggish crowd disembarking the plane. To my dismay, this procession of sleepy turtles soon became yet another swarm of bees, rushing in every direction. Frantically, I darted around the countless people surrounding me, trying not to lose sight of my parents as their heads bobbed along in the ocean of people I'd been plunged into. I quickly followed in pursuit of my mom; I could see her reddish-brown hair in contrast with the common black-brown hair color of the locals there just a couple feet in front of me.
A large man with a suitcase cut in front of me, but when he passed, my mom was still in sight, thank goodness. A heavyset woman wearing a floral dress barged into the current of people that I was travelling with, and my view was obstructed yet again. With an impatient huff, I shoved past her. Hopefully she didn't think I was being rude. I slipped by and scanned the horizon of heads around me, but my mom's reddish-brown hair was nowhere in sight. With a double take, I searched yet again. Nothing.
Not letting worry get the best of me right away, I followed along with the travelling current of people, some of which I recognized from my flight: the tired looking woman with overly energetic twins, the sleepy old man from two rows over, and the business man that was on his laptop for most of the flight. Hopefully I'd be able to find the luggage belt, where my parents would most likely be.
Finally, the crowd began to thin out. I stopped for a moment to weigh in my surroundings for the first time. I was still in the main terminal, of that much I was sure… Wow. I had thought JFK was big, but this place was huge in comparison. A few signs around me had arrows pointing different ways, but the words were in Korean; I had no idea where I was. I began walking anyways, hoping I'd wind up somewhere useful.
