CHAPTER 4 What the legends do not know is that the seed they are looking for exists in a form of life similar to them... ... and that life, through her eyes, cannot be considered well. = = = Soundtrack: Baby Don't Cry - U-Kiss Don't cry. Don't cry. Darn it, I told you not to cry, did I not, Song Shirin?! Hot tears spilled from my eyes and I clamped my hands hard on my mouth, trying to muffle the sobs breaking out of my frame. I couldn't cry out loud, because if I do, I know they'll get to me. Those girls who have been making my school life a living hell, they'll find me and hurt me to the fullest if I don't keep quiet. Here I am, cramped inside a bathroom stall, my legs crossed as I sat on top of a covered toilet seat. My whole body felt sticky because of orange juice that was drying up and my whole uniform sticking to me because of the raw eggs thrown at me earlier on during lunch period. I hate my life. First of all, I know nothing about myself. I've grown up in the care of a wise and kind man named Song Kyujin who works as a historian and archaeologist, with a historical literature lecturer side-job in Yonsei University. But despite the many years that I have lived with him, he never told me anything about my family, only my name, my age, and nothing else. He only said that he was a caretaker for me, that he was compelled by his heart to nurse a little girl back to a good life when he found me on the street one rainy day. Secondly, because of my cluelessness about my past, everybody in school is bullying me to my utmost limits. They keep teasing me as an orphan, or worse, an nonexistent human because they keep telling me that I have no identity. Some even joke around, branding me as an alien or ghost, but I couldn't care less. It doesn't help that the person who is in charge and is spearheading this whole bullying thing for me is the only daughter of Song Kyujin named Song Yuhee. Growing up without a mother because of her untimely death in an archaeological site, Yuhee was spoiled crazy. Thus her mindset is that she rules everything in GoHallin High School, backed up by her exceptional looks and immense popularity for being the daughter of a lecturer at Yonsei U (Which you can say is one of the most prestigious schools in Korea).
