The Date
Stuck With YouLet me be honest here, I had no idea what I was doing. Asking Tao on a date randomly, in front of half the college and even going through the extent of dressing up for the occasion was not typical of me. Don't get me wrong. It has nothing to do with my sister's comments of me being stuck at base zero with Tao.
Speaking of my sister, I wonder how she's faring on her date. With Chanyeol.
I was about to get an answer to that soon.
-----
"I'm sorry, Sora. But I think Kris is prettier than you." Tao's hands looped around Wufan's waist, as the older one bbuing-bbuing'd me while snaking his arms around the maknae.
Crash.
Falling off the bed was never this painful.
3:03 AM.
Time of the devil. Time for decisions to be made.
Exactly 12 hours later, I decided that embarrassing myself is nothing worse than having a nightmare where my rival was Kris... Thinking about it, if he was my rival, I wouldn't stand a chance.
-----
Breathe in. Breathe out.
Think clean. Be mature.
"Sora! Don't you think this fits you rather well?" Tao held out a shirt against me, appraising me from head to toe. Why does this kid seem more excited while shopping than I do? I nodded weakly, randomly browsing through the racks, picking random shirts. Yet again, I found myself enveloped by Tao's arms on either sides as he grabbed one of those from my hand. "Couple shirts! Perfect. Sora, you really do have good taste."
He pecked my cheek, turning me into a fiery red tomato much to the obvious envy of the other girls in the store. I grinned happily, glancing up at my boyfriend. Yes, clearly I do have good taste.
I think this was the most first normal date I've ever had with Tao. From stuffing a corndog in his mouth to actually being fed sushi by him was very different. Very very different. And I casually ignored the side looks he kept giving me. My hands remained linked the entire time. I felt safe and loved.
So this is what it feels to be in love.
Bliss.
I'm pretty sure the weather forecast said sunny with no chance of rains. Then again, bless you weatherman, for being wrong, as usual.
Midway through our debate of whether or not to go for seconds of ramen at a street side store, it began pouring. And my dramatic mind kicked into movie mode. Thoughts about rain for those in love. 1) Get drenched. 2) One person invites the other home. 3) Home Alone. 4) .... Think I got a massive nosebleed imagining that bit and to be honest, I was shaking in my pants (well, skirt). Truth be told, I was afraid of being with a man, forget everything else.
And here we were, point 1 being complete. We were drenched to our bones as we sheltered at a nearby store. Tao was even more ier when he's drenched. I coughed, involuntarily in embarrassment.
"Are you catching a cold?" Tao's concerned face leaned close as he placed a hand on my forehead. "Woah, you're burning up."
It's a different reason, silly. I shook my head, pushing away his hand. "Aish, I'm fine. Don't fuss over m-"
He grabbed my hand, pulling me under his jacket, half burying me against his chest. "YAH!"
"Shush." His arms wrapped around my waist, his chin snuggling my head. "I'm lending you some heat. I'd like it back with interest soon."
I couldn't help but giggle at his absolute adorableness. "Mhm sure, I owe you big time."
"This is so cliched."
"Eh?"
"I couldn't help but think of what happens in movies in such situations." He chuckled. Why does it seem like he read my mind?
"P-ert!" I guess, this is why we're made for each other.
His grip around me tightened a bit. "Hey, Sora."
I squirmed slightly as I felt his voice closer to my ear. "Yeah?"
"You look be-" Brrrrringg.
I guess the mood was just too damn good that it had to be ruined. Tao's grip loosened. "I think it's your phone."
I was going to kill that damn person. "It's nothing important."
He chuckled, ruffling my hair. "Pick it up. It might be."
I pouted, reluctantly reaching into my bag and pulling out my phone. Caller ID indicated Devil. Hara, you really proved that nickname.
I flipped open the phone, ready to snap her ears off but she beat me to it.
"SORA, I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!"
I blinked several times. "What the hell?!"
"THAT DAMN CHANYEOL. DO YOU KNOW WHAT HE DID?! I'm going to kill him first and then I'm going to kill you!"
She was half sobbing and half sniffing as she yelled. Okay, sounds serious.
"Shut up and tell me what happened!"
"That...that guy, he dumped me!"
"EHHH?! Wha-"
"He dated me to dump me! I'm going to rip his hair out, but first I'm going to make you go bald. No one dumps Lee Hara. You-"
I cut the call.
Think I'm in some deep trouble here.
