Dear Diary,

2 months have passed. I only have 4 more months left. 4 more months before I leave my mother, before I leave my best friend, before I leave Soohyun. Before I leave this world.

It’s been 2 weeks since Soohyun brought me to the beach. We never met up within these 2 weeks, but we called and texted each other. It’s been a month since I met him. It’s almost like a dream.

My sprained ankle has healed already. I want to go out more. Other than shopping and hanging out with my best friend, I haven’t really gone out much. Mum’s taking on longer work hours to support my chemotherapy treatment, so I barely even see her nowadays.

My hair’s visibly thinner now. When I went to the doctor that day, I found out that my hair might not completely drop out, it might just become thinner. It depends on how often I get chemotherapy, and how my body responds to it. I’m kind of glad I guess, I mean, I don’t want to go bald after all.

School’s becoming busier. The teachers are throwing assignments and projects at us at such a quick speed, I don’t even have time to update my diary anymore. Argh. Maybe I won’t even have time to go out with Soohyun anymore.

My phone’s ringing, hold on.

I fished my phone out of my bag and smiled when I saw the caller ID.

“Hi Soohyun oppa, what’s up?”

“Nothing much… are you free?”

“Um… I need to head over to a friend’s house for a project soon…”

“This won’t take too much time, I promise. Just open your front door please.”

My eyes widened. He was here? Hurriedly, I went to open the front door.

“Hi,” I said into the phone, smiling at the man in front of me.

He put down the phone. “Don’t be ridiculous.”

I playfully punched him in the arm. “Why’re you here?”

He fidgeted for a while and stared at the ground. I sat down on the sofa and waited for him to speak.

Finally, he breathed in deeply, and in one big breath he said, “It’s only been a month, and I know this is too fast, but... I think, just maybe…

“I’ve fallen for you.”
