The door creaked open.Simon stepped inside and helped Aurora through the door.

Aurora has just been discharged from the hospital. Her right hand is still in a cast. Her ankle is better, though a bit sore, and she still can't move or talk or laugh much. Because her ribs hurt like hell.

Simon took a stool, and leads aurora to sit on it, while he bends down and removes her shoes. He then took her hand, and leads her to her own bedroom. "Go take a nice long shower. I'll be outside if you need me," Simon said.

"No, it's ok. You can go. I can manage," Aurora lied through her teeth. Simon just shook his head as he steps out of the bedroom.

With much difficulty, Aurora manages to her blouse, and get them off. At this point of time, Aurora is actually regretting not having any female friends. She only has female acquaintances. Aurora can't reach for the back of her bra. She can't unhook it. "." Aurora cursed to herself. She has no other choice.She grabs her towel, covered herself as much as she can, and calls Simon into the room.

Simon walks in, surprised to see Aurora, facing her back towards the door. Avoiding all eye contact with Simon.

"Simon. I.. I'm NOT trying to be funny. I can't get the hook off. I can't reach it. Can u, unhook it for me?" Aurora asked nervously.

Simon chuckled as he stands behind her. Of course she was not trying to hit on him, he knows her too well. As Simon reaches out to the strap, something on her shoulder catches his attention. Simon gently traces the outlines of the scars and with a sad voice whispers in her ears "Aurora... why?"

Aurora shudders as she feels Simon's fingertips on the scars she inflicted upon herself. Scars that she created to help ease the pain. Aurora dismissed the question, said a hasty "thanks" and stepped into the bathroom.

Simon stood in the bedroom. Tears threatening to fall. Knowing that his best friend is hurting herself. Knowing that he was there, but he did not see it coming.Those scars, some of it, isn't new.Simon clenches his chest. The pain in his heart is more intense than before. Aurora hurting herself, is hurting him too.
