By the time Rainie got home it was already 4 in the morning. The first thing she did was feed her beloved daughter yummi (her puppy). She then removed her makeup and took a hot shower.

She went into the kitchen and found a bowl of soup and a note from her mom in the microwave as usual: Mei mei, this time it’s pear and lean rib soup. Drink it before you go to bed. Don’t stay up too late, Love mom.

Rainie brought the soup into her shoe box size room (because of her irregular work schedule she gets her own room and her mother shares a room with her older sister. so Rainie insist that they take the bigger room until they can afford a bigger apartment) and her computer. She quickly signed on MSN, a huge smile spread across her face when she saw that Aaron’s icon was still on and he has already messaged her.

A: You’re finally here, I was about to give up.

R: I told you not to wait up. I had an important meeting.

A: I see top secret mission huh?

R: you can say that.

A: I guess I’ll have to wait and find out. But I’ll send you the song now if you want.

R: that would be great. Thanks.

A: anyway, I have to go now because we had a show in an hour but I’m glad I got to talk to you today.

R: what? Did you get any sleep at all?

A: nah…but I’ll be alright. It was worth the wait. Hopefully next time we can talk for more than 2 minutes.

R: hopefully. Have a good day at work.

A: thanks, good night and sweet dreams.

Aaron was about to sign off but then quickly he added another line: this is my number, #XXXX-XXXX, just in case you ever get bored feel free to call or message me.

R: do you always give out your number to people you talk to for 2 minutes on MSN?

Judging by the delay of respond, Rainie could tell he was taken back by her last comment. She giggled out loud because she just couldn’t help but ; mission accomplished! so she quickly added: J/k, I will definitely keep that in mind. Hope to see you around.

A: same here. Followed by a big animated smile on the screen.

After Aaron left, rainie signed off shortly after. She lay down on her bed and smiled as she recalled their encounter today.

Rainie: Rainie Yang, you must really be desperate for a boy friend. Why are you are smiling over a guy you only met for a few minutes?

After shaking her head as a disapproval of her own action, Rainie got up and opened the only locked draw in her room. Inside, she took out a very delicate looking box. It contained nothing other than the necklace a young boy gave her many years ago. She has been looking at this necklace and even dreaming about him very often lately. Is it coincidental that Aaron who reminds her so much of him happens to enter her life at this time?

Rainie never lacked admirers, especially in the recent days but Rainie knew she had no time to think about this right now. Her excuse is that she must focus on her work right now. She has a new movie coming out; she’ll be filming a new drama and possibly a new cd to go with it. She cannot stop for a second; not until she pays off the huge amount of debt she inherited from the father that abandoned his family when she was till a very young girl. But could there be a deeper reason buried in her many excused? Rainie put the necklace away before she had the chance to ponder deeper into her heart.

She took out her planner and checked her busy schedule; it is jam packed until summer of 2008. But her eyes glistened when they landed in November, she will be going to Paris for a week to attend the Vogue fashion show. Maybe in the so called city of romance she will be able to recharge and have a foreign fling of a week? 

Meanwhile, what do you think Aaron is doing? He’s on the production set filming the sequel to K O One, K O Family. And if you think he’s checking his cell phone every two second then you are right on the money. Of course he knew better than to expect a message from Rainie 5:00 a.m. in the morning but a boy can dream can’t he? So in the end of Chapter 4, why don’t we are just pray for Yan Ya Lun xiao peng you (Translation: means little boy. Aaron was often called that in K.O.One) that he will receiving the text soon so his little heart can finally rest in peace =)
