Sungyeol’s POV

I took her to the rooftop garden. It’s so refreshing! Just me and her.. Under the night sky.. Sitting on a bench.. Only the two of us..

‘So.. Why did you bring me here?’ she asked.

‘I don’t know’ I replied ,’Want to know you more I guess’

She nodded her head in understanding.

‘What do you want to know about me?’ she asked.

‘Anything’ I replied

‘Nope. Everything’ I took back my words.

She looked at me with a confused expression.

‘I want to be your friend Yoona’ I explained. Oh gosh Sungyeol! Friend? Aisshhh! I think I’ll take it one step at a time.

‘Oh.. For a moment I was about to misunderstand you’ she replied with a laugh.

Then there was an awkward silence.

‘This place is nice, right?’ I started, breaking the silence.

She nodded in agreement.

‘Kind of romantic’ she muttered out, looking at the night sky.

‘So… What are your views about love?’ I asked.

She looked at me with a sad expression.

‘Love. I guess its something that’s not meant for me’ she said with a sigh.

‘What do you mean?’ I asked.

‘My ex-boyfriend and I ended in a bad note. He cheated on me’ she replied with a sad smile.

‘But do you still love him?’ I asked

‘I’m not sure either. Hopefully not’ she replied.

‘I won’t be like him’ I commented.

‘What?’ she asked.

‘I-I mean that I won’t cheat on my future girlfriend’ I stuttered. Why am I so nervous?

Yoona’s POV

I think I just spoiled the mood with my story.

‘Why did you want to be a steward?’ I changed the topic, flashing him a big smile.

‘I find it to be very cool. And I just feel a connection to the job’ he replied.

‘Do you like cool guys?’ he asked.

‘What? Why are you asking?’ I asked back.

‘Just curious’ he replied.

Then Lee Minho came into my mind.

He’s kind of cool, but I’m not sure if I’d love a guy like him again.

‘I don’t know. It depends on how he treats me, I guess?’ I replied.

Then his phone rang, indicating a message.

He looked at it then gave a frustrated sigh.

‘Why, what’s wrong?’ I asked.

‘The rest wants me back in the room’ he said gloomily.

‘Then go back’ I said.

‘You?’ he asked.

‘I’ll stay here for a while. Don’t worry, its safe!’ I replied, asking him to go back to his room.

‘In that case.. Good night Yoona’ he said, waving his hands.

‘Good night’ I replied.

He went off.

Then he came back.

‘Sweet dreams!’ he said with a cheeky smile before going back again.

Flashback:

‘I love you’ I heard Minhoconfess to Min-Young, holding her hands.

‘But you have Yoona’ Min-Young replied, taking her hands away from him.

‘She’s just a toy that I’m playing with’ he replied with a smirk.

‘A toy?’ I asked, revealing my presence to the two.

‘Yoona!’ Min-Young said.

‘Glad you’re here. We’re done’ Minhosaid before standing up and walking away.

‘Lee Minho, that jerk’ I muttered to myself.

Then I heard a sneezing sound behind a tree.

I slowly approached the tree and saw… L?

L’s POV

Why did you do that L?

Why did you ask Sungyeol to go back to the room?

Why did you help her in the plane when you swore never to help another woman ever again in your life?

Why are you following her?

‘She just seems different from others, that’s all’ I convinced myself.

I sneezed. Uh-oh, she’s coming closer.

‘L senior?’ she asked.

I just looked at her.

‘Lee Minho?’ I asked.

She froze. ‘You heard that?’ she asked.

‘Obviously’ I replied, ‘He cheated on you?’

She nodded head, ‘Yup. And I loved him’

‘Don’t worry, I went through that too. Woori’ I replied.

‘Woori? Go Woori?’ she asked.

How did she know Woori?

‘No’ I lied

‘And don’t tell others about this, understand?’ I asked in a serious tone. I can’t possibly have everyone knowing about my past break-up and… this side of me.

‘Okay. Goodnight’ she said before walking off.
