Sungyeol’s POV

‘Me?’ I asked as I trailed Krystal’s finger to me.

Krystal stomped on my foot while giving me a glare.

‘Yup, that’s me! Her boyfriend!’ I almost yelled out- in pain.

‘And what is your name?’ the mother asked.

‘I’m Lee Sungyeol’ I introduced myself, bowing.

‘Sungyeol, are you free tonight?’ she asked.

I looked at Jessica, she gave a blank look.

I looked at Krystal, she nodded her head.

‘Yes, I am’ I replied.

‘Very well then. Jessica, take him to see us for dinner later. I would like to know more about your boyfriend. And by the way, your Dad will be there too’ the mother told Jessica.

‘See you later, Lee Sungyeol’ she told me before leaving.

‘Is your family really that scary?’ I asked out.

‘Wait till you meet our Dad’ Krystal replied.

‘Krystal! Why did you do that?!!!!’ Jessica exploded.

‘There’s no other choice! I don’t want Yoona and Yuri to lose their jobs and I don’t want you to get married to someone you don’t love’ Krystal defended herself.

‘I could’ve taken care of it’ Jessica replied.

‘How?’ Krystal challenged.

Jessica kept mum.

‘Yaa, think about how much worse it is for me! I need to pretend to be YOUR boyfriend’ I said.

She looked at me.

‘You don’t have to do it if you don’t want to’ she said weakly. Her eyes are watery.

‘Jessica, are you crying?’ I asked.

‘No’ she said, looking away.

Krystal bent down to comfort her sister.

‘Don’t touch me’ Jessica said.

‘I’m sorry’ Krystal whispered before standing up.

‘You take care of her’ Krystal told me with a threatening voice before leaving.

She was facing away from me.

But I could hear her sobbing.

‘Yaaa, are you okay?’ I asked, approaching her.

‘Go away’ she said.

‘Fine, I’ll do it’ I said.

‘You don’t have to’ she replied.

‘I want to’ I replied.

‘Why?’ she asked.

‘Because I want to help you?’ I asked back.

‘I don’t need your help’ she replied.

‘Obviously, you do’ I replied.

She faced me. Her cheeks were still wet with her tears.

‘Dry your face’ I said before using my hands to dry them.
