Sweet Holiday
“Ms. Yoojin it’s been a while but you haven’t changed. I see you ended up with him.” Aldwin said
while taking a glance on minhyuk. “ah, we are just..” “we are here for our annual honeymoon.”
Minhyuk cut her off, placing his arm around her shoulder. Yoojin’s eyes grew bigger while looking at
minhyuk with disbelief. She can’t believe he said that. “just go with it, I will tell you later” minhyuk
whispered to yoojin in Korean. Yoojin elbowed him but minhyuk just pretended not hurted. “ah yes.
This is my loving husband.” Yoojin said with gritting her teeth showing a fake smile. “whatever it is,
you are still not allowed to touch me” yoojin simply moved away from minhyuk’s grip. They are the
only ones who can hear their little bickering.
MInhyuk POV
Otoke? I really don’t have a reason for why I say that in front of that guy. Well for one I’m absolutely
jealous. The way he looked at her is just hard to miss. “care to tell me what’s the reason for the little
show you just orchestrated?” yoojin asked. Otoke? Ah. “later. When we are alone.” I said. She looked
at me suspiciously. “if you’re trolling with me again, I swear, I will leave you here alone. I’ll spare
your parents and dragged them with me back to Subic” she said with a serious look. I totally doomed.
“aldwin, why aren’t we heading to the house the Kang’s rented?” yoojin asked. How the hell did she
know that we are going to a different place. “your boss told me to take who ever my passanger is
into sight seeing right after I pick them up.””oh is that so, but Mr and Mrs Kang are going to the
house straight.” “ah yes, they called your boss already. They advise the other driver to let them rest
first.” “oh okay” yoojin replied. I cleared my throat, them talking is not good too. “aldwin, can you
talk us somewhere nice, my wife and I have to take a lot of pictures together and show it to our kid”
yoojin glared at me. “what?” she mouthed. I ignored her. “oh, you have one already?” “no” she yelled
glaring at me. A let out an awkward laugh. “ah, bet ms. Yoojin is expecting” aldwin uttered. Yoojin
wanted to say something but I covered .
Sight seeing just pass by so fast, they didn’t noticed that the sun is starting to set. Aldwin dropped
the two on the rented house after bidding his goodbye the two was left silent outside. “so now you
can tell me why are you acting like that earlier?” yoojin asked obviously she is extremely annoyed
and mad at him. He is being ridiculous. Minhyuk tensed. He didn’t expect her to asked that question
again. Obviously he just done that because he is jealous and he wanted her full attention. He cleared
his throat, he is sweating hard. He gulped. “ah, son! You are back! good. dinner is served come on in.
yoojin ssi come on, I hope you did have a wonderful time.” Mrs. Kang suddenly appeared making
minhyuk sigh in relief. Mrs. Kang dragged yoojin inside but she glared at minhyuk and mouthed “later”
to him. He just nod. “otoke?” minhyuk ruffled his hair in frustration.
“so, can you explain yourself now?” yoojin asked when she walk towards minhyuk who is sitting on
the balcony. Minhyuk jumped on the sudden appearance. “chamchagya!” he said while relaxing his
racing heart. Yoojin cant help but to giggle. His face is epic. But she compose herself and clear her
throat. “so?” she continued. Minhyuk stood up and walk towards her. “can I asked something first?”
yoojin tensed. The closeness is too much for her she step back. “sure” she sat on the first chair she
saw that is far from minhyuk. “do you really mean it? what you said to me? You don’t love me?” he
asked. Yoojin was taken aback. His eyes is so filled with pain, and she regret saying that to him. But
pride is holding her back. “does it matter anymore?” she asked. “yes, my answer will depend on it.”
he replied with a serious face. Yoojin think of the right answer. “darn pride” minhyuk is cursing on his
head.
Myungsoo POV
I invited jonghun hyung, yoo mi noona and yoomin in our new apartment for a house warming. Well
it’s jiyeon’s idea. Jiyeon wanted to asked yoomi noona what she needs to know about pregnancy.
“what do you think is happening to minhyuk and yoojin now?” jonghun hyung asked. “I don’t know but
knowing yoojin, her pride stands the most. Minhyuk probably is having a hard time pleasing her.” I
laughed. Jiyeon smack my head. “bwo?” I asked. I should have given you a hard time too. All is easy
for you” she said. “well, because you love me too much honey!” I said she pinched my nose. “ow!” I
blurted. “eonnie, I think you should call your stubborn little sister. she needs to forget her pride and
be happy” jiyeon said. All of us nod in agreement.
Yoojin POV
I didn’t know how long I have been sitting here, silent. Minhyuk is just staring at me, he started
tapping his foot on the ground he is getting impatient but what can I do. I don’t know what will I tell
him. He sighed and run his hand on his face. “yoojin!” he yelled.”can you leave…” “leave?” he cut me
off. “arasso” he continued. "okay, if you want me to leave I will leave. I had enough yooj. I too have
feelings." Minhyuk said. I was taken a back. i didn't know what to say. i noticed minhyuk is walking
away. "why am I so stubborn?" I asked myself. I stayed at the balcony god knows how long, “dear?
What are you doing here? It’s cold outside” Mr. Kang startled me. I stood up. “ah, I.. I’m just thinking
sir” I shyly said. He nod and sat across me. “sit down” he commanded. “you know, I haven’t seen my
son this worked up for a girl” he said, I bowed my head. “I’m so sorry sir but..” “are you worried about
his future?” he cut me off. I nod. “you think I will not accept him if you get back together?” I nod
again. He chuckled making me look at him. I’m confuse. Does he think I’m doing the right thing?
“dear, you are thinking too much. Just because I opposed the two of you once, you think it is forever.”
I looked at him with a confuse look. “I realize I did wrong, I want to change that dear. I want my son
to be happy.” I was surprised with his statement. “will you give him a chance?”
I am now in my room. staring in the ceiling. It is still early but I decided to just be in here. A knock
disturb my alone time. “yes?” I asked. “oh, so you are still awake, can I come in dear?” Mrs. Kang
asked I nod and she let herself in. “are you tired dear? Is the sight seeing good? we would like to see
that tomorrow” she said. “a bit, the scenery is daebak. You will like it a lot.” I replied half heartedly.
“why are you gloomy yoojin ssi?” she noticed. “ah nothing, just thinking.” I replied. she nod. “is it
because of minhyuk? Sorry if he’s being childish, its just that he really loves you that’s why he is
acting like that.” She said. Did he ask his parents to talk to me? “let me tell you something dear,
minhyuk have been a very troublesome kid. Perhaps it is because of us, we didn’t spent time with him
when he’s young. His sister have been there for him rather that us. He turn into some rebel.” She
sighed “but, after meeting you, he changed. All of us noticed that and we are happy. But after the
engagement plans, the smile he had vanished. I don’t want him to be lonely dear. As a mother I
want him to be happy.” I sighed. I am really confuse now. “what ever is your decision we will accept it
dear goodnight” just like that his mom left the room.
Yoojin didn’t notice that she dozed off last night. Her eye bags doubled from all the thinking.
“otoke?”. She went down to have breakfast with the kang family but to her surprise minhyuk is not
there. “good morning dear! Come lets have breakfast so we can go sight seeing.” Mrs. Kang uttered
she bowed to the couple and sits. “uhm, where’s?..” “minhyuk?” Mr. kang said. Yoojin nod. “he went
out. He said he will not be joining us.” Yoojin nod. seems like he is starting to leave her alone. Well
that’s what she wanted then right? But not seeing him in the morning makes her incomplete. They
got ready for their tour. About to ride the car, yoojin spotted minhyuk, he seemed gone jogging,
yoojin smiled at him and greeted him. “good morning” but he ignored her. she bowed her head and
just sat on the car. And off they go.
“you what?” yoojin moved the phone away from her ear. Her sister just can’t hide her irritation. “bwo?
I didn’t mean that but he took it the wrong way” yoojin reasoned. True, she just want to think what
answer to give him. Minhyuk being in front of her just tensed her. she wanted to say that if he could
leave her alone to think first but he misunderstood. “it is entirely your fault. You think he can go
chasing you till the end? Everyone got their limits yoojin. I thought you are smart?” yoo mi nagged
her sister. “arasso! Arasso!” yoojin uttered in defeat. She is wrong this time. Well blame her
stubbornness. “otoke eonnie?” she asked. “aish! Go figure it out on your own” yoomi hanged up on
yoojin. “aish! What to do?”
Mr. and Mrs. Kang wanted to end the sight seeing early, that relieved yoojin, in that case she can talk
to minhyuk. She’s decided. She can’t live without him. Screw her pride she wants to be happy. “uhm
excuse me, did you see Minhyuk?” yoojin asked the assigned care taker of the house. “oh the young
man, he said he will be back in subic first.” The care taker said. “huh?” yoojin asked. So he decided to
leave her and his parents behind just to prove he is leaving her alone. “minhyuk left?” Mr. kang
asked, “deh, sir. I think its my fault.” Yoojin said. “go fix your luggage dear. Follow him” mrs. Kang
said. “how did you?” “dear, seeing your eyes I can tell you are ready to get back to him.” Mrs. Kang
said. She run and hug the parents. She is so happy that she doesn’t have to hide it anymore. “but
how about you sir, ma’am?” “we will be fine. We will be there tomorrow.” “and young missy, it appaji,
and eomoni from now on” Mr. kang corrected her. “deh, appaji” yoojin replied with all smiles.
Yoojin arrived at Minhyuk’s hotel late. The traffic in Manila to Subic is really bad. Even she looks
haggard she decided that it is now or never. She should tell him that she loves him. She asked the
receptionist if he is in his suite but they said that he went out for quite some time. She asked the
receptionist to take her stuff to his room. well, she cant go around searching for him carrying all that.
She ran to the beach, he is not there, to the convenient store still not there. she search everywhere,
near the hotel but she cant find him. She lose hope. Maybe, maybe she is too late. That’s what she
get for being too stubborn and hard headed. Going back she accidentally bumped into some tourist
making her glasses to be dropped. “great, now I can’t see” she sobs. She can call her boss and tell
her to let someone pick her up. “omo! I left my phone.” Its like god is not on her side tonight, it
started raining hard. “great. Is this punishment? I gladly accept it.” yoojin slump on the side walk.
“hey there miss, are you alone?” a voice startled her. she is shivering from the cold and she is
soaked. The guy took her by the arm, she wriggle to escape but the grip is tight. “you’re pretty, you’re
asian right?” the guy asked. “I think this is my lucky night.” The guy continued. “please let me go”
yoojin uttered stuttering. She is afraid. She cant see clearly, she’s soaked and cold and now she will
be . “oh, you can talk” the guy asked. The guy started to drag her, “let me go! HELP! HELP!”
yoojin screamed. “no one will help you missy” the guy said and laughed. Tears are flowing on her face
now. Is this the end of her? “what is your n…” the guy didn’t finish when he is now on the ground.
Someone hold her wrist and drag her into a car. “w..who are you?” yoojin asked. “aish! Why are you
out alone at this hour? Aren’t you suppose to be with my parents?” it is minhyuk.
Minhyuk POV
I was going back to the hotel with the car I rented. The driver brought me to the places I told him. I
went to the places yoojin and I went when we are still strangers. It was a nice trip. I reminisced how
we bicker everytime. It is fun to make her translate everything for me. That’s when I spot a girl being
dragged by a guy, how can this possible. I scoff, I looked carefully and I was shocked It is
yoojin!”stop the car mister” I told the driver I hurriedly when to them and punched the guy as hard as
I can. I saw her crying and a tug in my heart waked me. I can’t let go of her. I drag her as fast as I
can to the car and the driver drove fast. “w..who are you?” she asked. That’s when I noticed that she
is soaked, shivering and her glasses. Its gone.
Yoojin POV
. “aish! Why are you out alone at this hour? Aren’t you suppose to be with my parents?” it is
minhyuk. “where’s your glasses?” he asked again. I wanted to speak but I’m trembling from fear and
cold. I heard him sigh and then he pulled me to a hug. His warmth relaxed me but I can’t help but to
cry. I cry and cry. “shh, I’m here now. Don’t be afraid.” He kissed my soaked hair. “s..sorry” I manage
to say, he chuckled. “you are trembling. Sleep for now, we will talk later” he said. Somehow hearing
him with a relax tone calmed me and my body, I snuggle closer to him and he hugged me tighter. He
placed his sweater to me and then I felt sleepy. I close my eyes, nuzzle more to his chest and
breathe in his smell. “I am complete” I whispered.
Yoojin woke up with the beaming sun in the room. she looked around and notice that she is
under the sheets. Her eyes widen. “aaahhhh!!!” she screamed. Minhyuk hurriedly went inside the
room. “what happen?” he asked. He is scared. “what happen?” yoojin asked covering her body. “what
happen? Why am I n..?” she stuttered. Minhyuk sighed. “I thought something happened to you.”
He started walking towards yoojin. “stop right there.” yoojin said. Minhyuk stopped. “care to explain
this?” yoojin asked raising an eyebrow. He chuckle only making yoojin confuse. “nothing happen to
us, if that’s your worrying about. You are soaked last night. I ask one of the staff, female staff to
remove your clothes. I notice later that your bags are here. I can’t put on the clothes on you so I just
let you sleep like that.” Minhyuk explained. Yoojin nod. minhyuk is about to leave her. “minhyuk!” she
called. He face her again. “sorry” she uttered. “it is no…” “I love you” she continued minhyuk’s eyes
widen. She got him into a huge surprise. “what did you just say?” “I LOVE YOU KANG MIN HYUK” she
yelled.
Minhyuk couldn’t help it he ran towards her and trapped her into a passionate kiss. They broke to
breathe, he rested his forehead to hers “thank you” he said and peek on her lips again. Realizing the
closeness, yoojin back away only to hit her head on the headboard. “ouch” she whined. Minhyuk leans
forward. “y—yah. What are you doing?” yoojin stuttered. “why don’t we just use this opportunity to…
I don’t know..” he run glare on her covered body. “yah, ert. I don’t want too! No before
marriage!” yoojin yelled. Minhyuk back away laughing. “what is funny?” yoojin asked. Minhyuk stood
up and went to his luggage. He took out a small box and return in a jiffy to yoojin’s side. “good thing,
I’m a boy scout” he said. He opened the box in front of her. she is surprised
“Shim Yoo Jin, will you accept this ring and be Mrs. Kang Min Hyuk?” yoojin is taken a back. but
before she could say something, minhyuk took her hand and placed the ring on her. “no return no
exchange” he said grinning wide. “now that we settled it, I think this is more than okay?” minhyuk
swiftly remove the covers and trapped yoojin. “I guess an early honeymoon is not that bad. Besides,
this sweet holiday will be our most memorable moment.” Minhyuk said, yoojin blushed. “don’t worry, I
already asked your sister for permission and she said yes” before yoojin can protest minhyuk leans
and kissed her again. She pushed him “just as I thought” she manage to say in between kisses.
Minhyuk back away. “bwo?” “you are that guy in the masquerade ball. The thief” yoojin said. Minhyuk
blushed. “it’s okay. You are forgiven.” Yoojin pulled him into a kiss.
