“yah! Ji yeon, I don’t want to attend the masquerade ball. I have to finish my term paper early.” Yoo jin yelled at the

top of her lungs but Ji yeon still drags her inside her dorm. Ji yeon is the only best girl friend yoo jin have in that

university. “tsch. Don’t be a kill joy yoo. You need to relax. The term paper is not due until 2 weeks from now.” Ji yeon

pushed her in the couch. “I know but I want to finish it early, besides I will be pre occupied next week. Eonnie gave me

a ticket to the Philippines for the summer break. I have to work part time to earn money for my pocket money and

hotel reservation.” Yoo jin explained fixing her glasses that’s falling over her nose. “tsch! How about this, I’ll lend you

money. Or.. or better yet I’ll give it to you. Just be my date in the masquerade.” Ji yeon kneeled in front of her begging.

“yah! What are you? Gay?” yoo jin teased. She knows ji yeon just wanted her to have fun. “please, you’re not my

type. You’re just so plain.” Ji yeon stands up and drags her again to her closet. Ji yeon is super rich. But she prefer to

live in a dorm away from her luxurious life style. “besides you can’t say no when I already got you a dress. I will hate

you forever if you didn’t go. It will be boring just to be with myungsoo” ji yeon pouted while handling the dress to yoo

jin. “aish! You and your boyfriend are such pain in the .” Yoo jin gave up. “asa! Yes! That’s why we are perfect for

each other.” Ji yeon clap her hands and walk towards the bathroom first.

“yah! Yoo jin, what’s taking you so long? I have to do your hair and make up! Come on out!” ji yeon yelled. “aish! I’m

coming wait!” yoo jin replied. she step out of the bathroom, her hair is loose to her waist. “aish! I like that hair of

yours. So black and so long. No to mention so smooth. Come here, I’ll make you pretty.” Ji yeon pulled her to the

dresser. Ji yeon took off yoo jin’s glasses and snap it in two. Yoo jin wide her eyes. “yah! Go Ji Yeon! Why did you do

that? You know I’m blind without them.” yoo jin glared are the blury ji yeon. “I told you to wear contacts from now on.

Now you don’t have to wear this.” Ji yeon laughed. Yoo jin just sigh. She knows she can’t win to ji yeon’s childish

behavior.

“woow! You look pretty yoo jin! Let me take a photo. Where the hell is your phone. You should send this to yoo mi

eonnie.” Ji yeon scatter the things on my bad in her bed. “here it is, go stand over there.”  Yoo jin stand over the spot

ji yeon told her to. “yah! Don’t ruin the beautiful you. Stand like a model. Like this” ji yeon do some pose. Yoo jin rolled

her eyes and do as ji yeon. After a few shots ji yeon smiled. “there yoo, you look like a goddess. You should fix

yourself more often.” Ji yeon said. “thanks ji!” yoo jin simply replied. they hug but then the doorbell rang. “I guess

myung is here. Lets go.” Ji yeon walk out with yoo jin hand in hand.

Yoo Jin POV

As usual, ji and myung walk in like they own the party. This masquerade is for the upcoming graduation. Just a few

more days then I’m graduating. Ji Yeon and Myung soo are going to the US for a vacation and knowing ji yeon she will

find a job there. Myung soo’s family is residing there, he might take over the family business. “yoo jin, wear this. It

wouldn’t be a masquerade ball if you don’t have the mask.” Ji yeon giddily utter. She really love this kind of parties. I

remember she had one on her birthday 2 years ago. “okay, so, I’m just going to the wash room” I whispered to ji

yeon’s ear. The loud music is making me dizzy. “okay don’t be long okay? We will be in the dance floor” ji yeon said. I

nod. I can’t wait to be in a less noisy place. The wash room is my remedy.

“yow! Minhyuk! Having fun dude?” ji hoo asked minhyuk who is drinking his punch lazily sitting on the chair. “do I look

like I’m having fun? Seriously guys, tell me why am I here?” minhyuk uttered with irritation and boredom. Ji hoo

chuckled. “dude, you’re here because you are told to. This is for the seniors we are obliged to be here.” Ji hoo said.

Minhyuk rolled his eyes under the mask. “I want some fun! This is boring. Got anything in mind?” minhyuk asked ji hoo.

“well, actually there is…” ji hoo lean towards minhyuk and whispered to him.

Minhyuk POV

“wait for us in the girl’s wash room, we will bring you someone” ji hoo told me. I chuckle. “now you’re talking. Well, I’ll

go ahead. Don’t be long” I uttered and stand started to walk towards the girl’s washroom. I entered the washroom, of

course it’s empty. Everyone is still busy partying outside. I sigh. “at least I had some peace and quiet.” I whispered.

Someone entered. I panicked. A professor might go in. “minhyuk!” ji hoo called up. “so? what?” I asked a bit excited

and irritated . I hate waiting. “Kevin is talking with the chic! She is hot! Well, just wait here. When you hear someone

who is singing that’s her. got it?” ji hoo explained. I nod with a smirk. I hide again in the first cubicle. Minutes later I

hear footsteps coming in. she, of course I know it’s a she, walks to the next cubicle, I heard her lock the door. “is she

the girl?” I thought. Then there it is the sign, she started singing, I’m kind of mesmerized with the angelic voice. I

heard her unlock the door. That’s my queue.

Yoo jin walk out of the cubicle. She is fixing her dress when she was pulled to the first cubicle with a strong hand. She

yelled but another hand cup . She was pinned on the wall, due to the small space available her body is just

inches away from the stranger that’s looking at her straight. “so kevin explained to you everything.”yoo jin shiver with

his whisper. She can’t recognize this guy. He is wearing one of the mask. She shrugged trying to escape the weird guy.

“hey, hey, don’t play innocent on me.” Just like that he let go of and roughly kissed her. Yoo Jin eyes are

widen. She can’t believe someone would steal a kiss from her. but it’s not just a kiss, it’s a passionate one. Tears

started to fall, he felt the warm liquid on her cheeks that he is holding.

Minhyuk POV

She is not kissing back? is she for real? She is crying? All this questions just keeps bugging me but I can’t stop. This

kiss, this girl feels just right. I let her go for us to breathe, I look straight to her eyes, its full of tears, I can’t recognize

her because of the mask. I want to see her face. I lift my hand towards the mask. But ~SLAP~ she slapped me. “get

away from me you ert!” she yelled and then she pushed me. Just then she hurriedly run away from me. Someone

enters the wash room again, she is singing. “oh my god! I kissed the wrong girl!” I thought, I run passed the new girl

inside the wash room. “yow! Minhyuk! Were are you going? She’s inside right now.” Ji hoo called on me. But I kept on

running. I can talk to him later. First I got to know where is that girl. I need to talk to her. I messed up big time.

Yoo Jin POV

I can’t believe this night would be this bad. I run towards the dance floor and search for Ji yeon and myungsoo. I can’t

tell her what happen to me. She will feel bad. I don’t want to ruin her night. Then at the corner I saw them, I tried to

calm myself. Then I walk towards them. I sigh. “Ji yeon, I need to go home now. I don’t feel so good.” I lied. “what’s

wrong you want us to bring you home yoo?” ji yeon asked worried. I shook my head and smiled at them. “nah! I just

hail a taxi. Just enjoy the night. See you tomorrow with the money” I tried to joke. “sure, I’ll visit you tomorrow, tell

grandma we are visiting. I missed her home cook meals.” Ji yeon said and hugged me. “be careful okay?” myungsoo

uttered. I nod and went on my way. I remove the mask. “stupid masquerade ball!” I murmured but then I bumped into

someone. “sorry,” I said and bowed. But he just walk passed me. “we’ll at least I know I’m back to being invisible” I

uttered.
