Leeteuk~

The Emotional Roller Coaster I Call Life With Super Junior

Leeteuk’s POV~

“Hyung! Leeteuk hyung!” I heard someone call my name.

“Aye! Whatta you want?!” I returned, shutting the door to my room. Of course it’d be Sungmin calling me.

“Begopaaaaaa~” he whined.

“Aish,” I scolded, “Uki made enough food to feed an army! Would you quit being a baby and get yourself something to eat?”

Sungmin pouted. “I wish you were a girl so my aegyo would work on you.”

“Well obviously that’s not happening.”

“Hmph.” Sungmin turned from me and opened the fridge, pulling out fifteen Tupperware containers, each one having a slip of paper taped on the lid labeled with a different name. “Aww!~ I love Uki! She knows us so well.”

Sungmin took his container out and opened the lid, smiling like a little kid opening his presents on Christmas day. “She made all my favorite foods!” Then he threw a container at me.

I looked at the slip. Beneath my name that she had so neatly written, Uki wrote: “I hope my kimchi is just to your liking. I’m not used to making the stupid food every day since I never did like the stuff, but I know how much you like it, so I’ll put up with the gross smell just for you(: And tell Sungmin not to devour the steak all in one bite! It’s meant to last at least an entire meal!”

“Steak?” I asked.

“Yupp,” Sungmin answered happily.

“Steaks,” I repeated, “she made fifteen steaks?”

“Well, Uki likes cooking. But what amazes me is that she actually remembered how each one of us likes our steak.”

I watched as Sungmin was basically bouncing in anticipation of when the microwave would beep, telling him that his steak was ready.

“Where is Uki anyway?” I asked, setting my Tupperware back on the counter.

Sungmin gave me a funny look. “That’s, like, the fifth time you’ve asked, hyung.”

I scratched my head, giving him a confused expression. “No it’s not.”

“Hyung. You asked Kyuhyun, Eunhyuk, Yesung, Siwon, and now me. I’m pretty sure that amounts to five times.”

“What? No, I couldn’t have.”

Sungmin’s smile turned playful and sly. “Teukieeeeee, do you have a crush on our poor Uki?”

I rolled my eyes at him. “Don’t be ridiculous, Sungmin. She’s like my little sister.”

“Keyword, like, but not is.

“Sungmin—”

“Teukie and Uki, sittin’ in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G. Aww, how cute~ Your names rhyme and everything!”

“Sungmin! I don’t like Uki.”

“Sure, sure. So you wouldn’t mind if I were to tell you that she’s on her date with Donghae?”

“Pfsht. One can hardly call it a date. She hates Donghae.”

“Obviously they’ve kissed and made up, literally, because you know what I walked in on this morning? Uki sleeping in Donghae’s bed.”

“WHAT?!”

“Oh, would you look at that. My steak’s ready.” He grabbed his Tupperware from the microwave, dumped the kimchi back in, and trotted off happily to his room, grabbing a banana on his way out. That kid and his obsession with bananas, I swear.

But what is this about finding Uki sleeping in Donghae’s bed? Don’t tell me that they…No! They couldn’t have. She wouldn’t have! What?! Okay, take a breath, Leeteuk. There has to be a rational explanation for this. Maybe…Maybe she got a nightmare or something. But wouldn’t it make sense for her to go to Siwon? Wait a minute, Siwon doesn’t live here. Well, her next choice would be me, wouldn’t it? I mean, I am like her other big brother, and I’m right next door to Donghae. But obviously that’s not the case if she was sleeping in Donghae’s bed! Yah! Wait, what if Sungmin’s lying? Lying just to irritate me or something. Yeah, that sounds pretty logical. Besides, even if they actually did do anything last night, Siwon would have strangled Donghae by now.

“Ugh!” I suddenly yelled.

“Hyung?”

I looked up to see Kyuhyun staring at me.

“Hey, Kyuhyun,” I responded, a sheepish smile on my face.

“You okay?” he asked cautiously.

“Yeah, I’m fine. I’m just…A little confused about a few things is all.” I smiled a reassuring smile at him. “Um…Where’s Uki?”

Kyuhyun let out a breath. “I already told you, hyung. She’s on her date with Donghae.”

“Yah! Why does everyone keep calling it a date? She. Does. Not. Like. Him.”

“Whoa, calm down, hyung. I never said anything. But anyway, I just wanted to bring a little predicament to your attention.”

“Oh?”

“Well, Henry’s coming back tomorrow. What are we gonna do about Uki?”

“Oh.” I thought for a second. “I’m not so sure. Lemme talk it over with Siwon. She might have to share a room, but I highly doubt that he’d be okay with that.”

“She can always share with Alex.”

I looked at him, my head cocked to the side in confusion. “What makes Alex anymore special than the rest of us?”

Kyuhyun had a slightly panicked expression on his face. “Eh. It’s just sometimes I question Alex, ya’ know?”

“That’s not nice, Kyuhyun.”

He smiled at me. “Yeah, well. I recently found out that Alex isn’t that great of a drinker, which means he lost a couple of respect points from me.”

“You made Alex drink?”

“Not particularly. He just didn’t realize that he was drinking some soju is all.”

I sighed. “Kyuhyun, you needa calm down with the drinking. If Donghae catches word of this, I won’t be able to stop him from killing you.”

We both looked toward the doorway as trilling laughter filled the dorm accompanied by Donghae’s, “I’m being serious! He actually did say that!”

“Aww, Donghae, you’re so funny!”

A second later, Donghae came into view, alongside Uki, whose arm was linked with his. She gave me a full smile. “Hi, Leeteuk! Hi, Kyuhyun!”

“Well, I’ll take it that the date went well, then?” Kyuhyun asked, laughing.

Uki looked up at Donghae, who had a smile slowly spreading across his face until both he and Uki busted out laughing at something unknown to me or Kyuhyun.

“It was great,” Uki answered. She unhooked her arm from Donghae’s and said, “But now, it’s time I throw on a pair of shorts and take all this stuff off my face. Wanna watch a movie after I’m done?”

“Sorry, but I’ve gotta spend what little free time I have left with my little brother,” Donghae said, shrugging his shoulders apologetically.

She pouted. “Aww. Kyuhyun, Leeteuk? Any takers?”

“I’d love to, but Henry’s coming back tomorrow. I’ve gotta get some stuff ready for him first,” Kyuhyun answered.

“I’m free,” I responded, smiling at her.

She smiled back. “Aww, yay~”

“On second thought, I don’t think Alex is even here. I’ll watch the movie with you,” Donghae said quickly, throwing an arm around her shoulders.

I threw him a confused look. Uki looked up at him. “Donghae, it’s okay. Go ‘head and spend the day with Alex. I’ll go find him for you.” She slipped from under his arm and headed off to her room.

“What was that?” I asked him. Not particularly in an angry tone, just in a curious tone.

“What was what?” Donghae responded.

“Oh, I can feel the tension in the air,” Kyuhyun said, leaving the room.

I just looked at him until he sighed. “I hope you don’t take it personally, hyung. It’s just…Well, I just won Uki back. And I don’t wanna lose her again, especially to someone who likes her so much,” Donghae finally said.

“Likes her so much? What’re you talking about?” I asked.

“Hyung, don’t be oblivious to your own feelings. It’s obvious you’re practically in love with Uki.”

“What on earth are you talking about? Uki’s like a younger sister to me.”

“You keep saying that, but you don’t see the way you look at her, or the way your eyes light up when you see her.”

I scoffed. “You’re ridiculous, Donghae. I don’t like Uki. I’ve known her throughout her entire life.”

“Hey, Donghae. Uki tells me you wanted to spend some quality time?” Alex asked, poking his head in the kitchen doorway. He was sucha strange kid.

“Um, yeah. It’s gonna be my only free day in a long time. So I was thinking we might do something?”

“Sure!” Alex exclaimed, smiling. “Just lemme get a few things first.”

I turned to Donghae after Alex left and said, “Look. Go out with her, kiss her, date her, I don’t care. But if you so much as hurt my little sister, I’ll kill you. Understand?”

“Fair enough,” Donghae said, “but Leeteuk. Even if you don’t know how you truly feel, the rest of us do. And I’m telling you now that Uki is the most amazing girl I’ve met, and I will fight for her.”

I gave a slight nod of my head, even though I had no clue what he was talking about. I didn’t like Uki! Why does everyone keep insisting that I do? She was like a little sister to me! Why couldn’t they just get that through their heads? Unless…?

Nahh.
