The raindrops tapped against the window like a melancholic melody, mirroring the turmoil within Jiyeon's heart. She sat in her dimly lit room, her thoughts a chaotic whirlwind of emotions. The truth she had uncovered had shattered the illusions she had clung to for so long, leaving her feeling raw and exposed.

Baekhyun's presence, once a source of comfort, now felt like a reminder of the void that had grown between them. Jiyeon clutched her phone tightly, her thumb hovering over Baekhyun's contact. As she stared at his name on the screen, memories flooded her mind – memories of the time when she and Youra had shared their deepest thoughts and feelings about Baekhyun.

She remembered how Youra had confided in her about her growing affection for Baekhyun before Jiyeon and Baekhyun had even become an official couple. The memory of Youra's excitement, the way her eyes had lit up as she spoke about him, now added to the complexity of Jiyeon's emotions.

Jiyeon knew that the conversation she was about to initiate could unravel more than just her relationship with Baekhyun. It could challenge the bonds of friendship she had with Youra, too. She knew that her own feelings were entangled in this intricate web of emotions, and every decision she made would have far-reaching consequences.

With a sigh, Jiyeon pressed the call button. As the phone rang on the other end, the sound of the rain persisted outside her window, a constant companion to the storm within her heart.

"Baekhyun, can we meet? I need to talk to you."

The café they chose had been a backdrop to countless shared moments, but today it felt like uncharted territory. As Baekhyun entered, his usual smile in place, Jiyeon couldn't help but notice the distance that seemed to linger in his eyes.

"Jiyeon, you wanted to talk?" Baekhyun's voice was soft, tinged with a hint of concern.

Jiyeon took a deep breath, her gaze steady as she met his eyes. "Baekhyun, something has changed between us, hasn't it? You've been distant."

Baekhyun's smile faltered for a moment before he nodded slowly. "You're right, Jiyeon. Things have changed." As he spoke, a realization began to dawn upon him, like a veil slowly lifting from his thoughts. He couldn't deny the growing distance between them, and now, faced with Jiyeon's direct observation, he couldn't ignore it any longer.

The heaviness of those words settled over Jiyeon, confirming her fears. She pressed on; her voice quivering with an undercurrent of sadness. "Baekhyun, be honest with me. Is there someone else? Do you still love me?"

Baekhyun's gaze wavered for a moment, his fingers tracing an absent pattern on the table. The weight of Jiyeon's questions seemed to pull him into a state of dilemma. "Jiyeon, I care about you deeply. But I can't deny that my feelings have evolved." As he spoke, he grappled with the complexity of his emotions, torn between the past he cherished and the present that had reshaped his heart.

Jiyeon's heart clenched at his words, a mixture of uncertainty and deep sadness welling up within her. She had sensed it, suspected the shift in their connection for a while now, but hearing it aloud was a different kind of pain. "Is this a one-sided love, Baekhyun? Have I been holding onto something that's slipping through my fingers?"

Baekhyun's voice was laced with regret as he spoke, mirroring the ache in Jiyeon's heart. "Jiyeon, it's not that simple. It's not about you or me. It's about the changes we've both been feeling." Despite his attempt to explain, he could sense the weight of Jiyeon's sadness, knowing that his words were like salt in the wounds of her questioning heart.

Jiyeon's eyes welled up with tears, her voice trembling with a deep sadness. "I deserve more than this, Baekhyun. I deserve to be with someone who loves me completely, who doesn't leave me questioning where I stand."

Baekhyun's eyes glistened with his own unspoken emotions, his helplessness evident in his expression. "Jiyeon, please believe me when I say that I never wanted to hurt you. You mean the world to me."

Tears spilled over Jiyeon's lashes, their drops falling more forcefully now, each one a testament to her heartache. Her gaze remained distant, the weight of her emotions almost too much to bear. "I need time to figure out what's next. I need to find a way to heal from this, to mend my heart that's breaking."

The room seemed to grow quieter, the weight of their words settling in the spaces between them. As the rain outside continued its melancholic rhythm, their hearts were entangled in a sorrowful dance of love and loss, uncertainty and the need for healing.

The air in the café seemed to grow heavier as Jiyeon's words hung in the space between them. Baekhyun's gaze pleaded with her, his eyes reflecting a mixture of desperation and sorrow. "Jiyeon, please, just listen for a moment."

Jiyeon hesitated, her heart aching at the vulnerability in his voice. She turned back to face him, her expression a blend of sadness and determination. "Baekhyun, there's nothing left to say. We've said it all."

His fingers clenched into fists, and he leaned forward, his voice cracki
