It had been a week since Baekhyun found out that Chanyeol was going to Japan, it had been two days since they had last talked to each other but strangely it had also been two days since the groupchats were active. 

Baekhyun had been by himself, suffering radio silence. He constantly checked his phone again and again wondering if his phone had been accidentally set on silent, though whenever he checked he was reminded that the issue didn't stem from his notification alarms. As the days went on Baekhyun's mood dipped, he went to bed crying from missing the others. 

There was just one more day before the dance and before Chanyeol left he told Baekhyun that he should consider going. The boy didn't have the opportunity to tell him that he actually wanted the taller to be his date since he needed to catch his flight. 

Baekhyun's friends had reassured him constantly on the days leading up to Chanyeol's departure that they would be there for him when his crush left, but they had disappeared just as quickly as they did.
