Joohyun is sweating buckets.

After two months of constant communication with Seulgi, of making her feel in any way she's not going anywhere, the other girl finally said yes to exploring her map of memories. This is what Joohyun has wanted and hoped for - it's just that the first memory in Seulgi's map involved this -

Joohyun seeing Seulgi's father in person. 

"So you're the girl who broke my princess' heart," he said, eyebrows scrunched, voice stern.

She doesn't know what to do. 

"When that happened, I took it upon myself to accompany her to art exhibits so she'd stop sulking. Taeyeon did too. She wouldn't talk to me, but a father knows, you know?" He said.

"A father knows when someone hurt his precious daughter."

Joohyun squirmed in her seat. She knew she was the one who made the map after doing her own research, going through Seulgi's social media posts (the bear-like artist doesn't post much, so when she does, Joohyun know it meant something and these were the moments she catalogued for the map) but she didn't know the first memory could only be revisited through Seulgi's mom and dad. 

"One time, while I was driving her home after we went to another art gallery, Seulgi just bowed her head in the passenger seat and started crying. She didn't say a thing. I parked the car. In between her sobs, she mentioned one thing - just one thing - "Joohyun." And that's when I knew. This was the pain caused by first love."

Seulgi's dad - a spitting image of his daughter - looked at Joohyun with an unwavering glance.

"You broke my daughter's heart."

Joohyun trembled in fear. She knew she literally trembled.

Out of nowhere though, a woman came and smacked Seulgi's dad on his head.

"Tama na, tinatakot mo 'yung bata e," she said.
