This is the eighth entry to the Lexicon of Pighati. But Taeyeon knows this could might very well be the words haunting Joohyun now. They both don't want these two words to scar them forever, so they're trying to find the answers now, in the hopes that they will not have any regrets later.
It meant letting Seulgi find the answer to what her heart truly wants too.
Seulgi told the older woman it's her, Taeyeon thought. But for how long?
There's only one painful way to find out.
Hence even if Taeyeon wants to stop Joohyun and lash at her and tell her how dare she - deep in her heart, she knew this must be done.
Because Joohyun may have disappeared from Seulgi's life like a coward, but it took courage for her to decide to come back.
When Joohyun arrived in her place that fateful night, there was no sense of hurry, nor panic, nor fear.
Taeyeon sensed there was just this quiet resolve to reach out to Seulgi again.
"Unlike you, Ate Taeyeon, I believe in romantic love. But I'm cautious about acting on it or deciding solely based on it, because it fades," Joohyun told her that night. "Just like what happened to my parents. One day they were in love. Then after 20 years, they realized that the love has disappeared. There were no third parties. No numbing fights. The love just faded away. Gradually, yes, but still, it did."
