Chapter Eleven: Moment of Truth

‘Jennie stretching... Jennie sweating… Jennie stretching and sweating... Jennie stretching and sweating while being beside me.' Jisoo repeated these thoughts like a mantra inside her head.

The moment she saw all the possible stretches that a pilates workout can do, Jisoo had to pause and scream internally.

The exercise itself looks harmless, fun, and challenging on its own. However, the idea of seeing Jennie Kim actually doing all those things made Jisoo enter her panic mode.

'Jennie’s body was built for this kind of workout.' Jisoo tried to remember the barista's body and couldn't help but blush.

'Be honest, Kim Jisoo! You've been checking out Jennie's body since day 1… and you liked it.' 

Jisoo sighed as her brain continued to fight a losing battle of imagining Jennie Kim and her pilates routine.

'Kim Jisoo, you have to be professional. I will be there to exercise and get fit. I will be there not to watch a goddess workout but to get fit. I will be there not to watch a beautiful human being as she stretches her gorgeous body but to stretch my muscles. I will be there not to ogle at her but to work on my body…. But, I will be there and I will be seeing all those and I know I am going to appreciate every second.' Jisoo groaned after losing again.

*buzz buzz*

Jisoo quickly grabbed her phone and opened it to see if it was Jennie.

Irene💃: did I mention that Jennie is almost a certified Pilates instructor? No? Then here's me mentioning it.😌

Jisoo: and your point is?

Irene💃: I know you, jisoo. You're probably thinking about all those stretches that Jennie will be doing.💅

Jisoo: I hate you.

Irene💃: Sure.

Jisoo: asdfghjklskahlshs

Jisoo: why is the exercise like that?😭

Irene💃: You'll enjoy it!

Irene💃: or the person. Whichever you want really.🤣

Jisoo: UNNIE! wash your mouth. Or your dirty mind. 😠

Irene💃: uhmm I meant the company? What are YOU thinking about?🤔

Jisoo couldn't help but feel embarrassed and tried to counter attack.

Irene💃: me waiting long for your reply means you were thinking of something else...😏

Jisoo: 😑😑😑

Jisoo: i wasn't???

Irene💃: Sure.😌

Jisoo: 😒😒😒

Jisoo: we both know you were implying something else.😒

Irene💃: if you say so 😙

Irene💃: I just messaged coz it felt like an important piece of information. Since you want to have a good workout you know. 😇

Jisoo: right.. that was the reason you needed to share that information with me.😒

Irene💃: of course! And maybe to make you fluster as well. I did see you checking her out last time especially her behind...oops 🙊😏😈

Jisoo blushed profusely after reading Irene’s message and realizing that she got caught.

'Why, why, why?! Why can't you be discreet, Kim Jisoo? So Jennie saw it too?' She mentally scolded herself while rubbing her temples.

Irene💃: don't seen zone me 🙄

Jisoo: im here 😑😔 was I that obvious?

Irene💃: hmmm well, yes to me. Coz you're my friend. 🤣

Jisoo: oh god...😩 But unnie, I can't help it… have you seen her?! She's so… dreamy.😔

Irene💃: whoa am i really talking to Kim Jisoo? Why yes, yes I am. I can feel your lovestruck eyes all the way here.🤢

Jisoo: huhu but really… she's so beautiful and nice and charming. 😔 

Irene💃: that she is and her body is 100% 👌

Jisoo: unnie!!! But… huhuhu her body is really gorgeous too...😔

'I will burn in hell for thinking and talking about her body…'

Jisoo: she's just so different from the others.. in a good way for sure..

Irene💃: awww is my baby girl turning into a lovesick girl? This is so adorable 😁

Irene💃: eh? A mandu? You lost me right here.

Jisoo: a mandu! You know so cute and fluffy. Like her cheeks. I wanna pinch it. And kiss it.😭

Irene💃: a mandu? Really? Girl your comparison is weird. Here I am telling you how Jennie is so y and hot… and we have you calling her a mandu. Like 🤔

Jisoo rolled her eyes at Irene’s reply and got ready to give her a better explanation of her metaphor.

'Oops, that must be my package.' Jisoo locked her phone first and went to collect her package from the door.
