Word of the Day – “Soufflé”

The new week that followed after the company trip, Miyoung decided it was best for her to still push through her three-month training aka her road to restaurant ownership. The only gain she’d had from the training so far … was a boyfriend. But despite her newfound flame in which she had no complaints about, she hadn’t changed her mind about wanting to prove to her dad that she was worth it, that she was good enough to run SCORCH Steakhouse & Bar.

No offence meant to her now secret boyfriend, Do Kyungsoo, she still believed that she could potentially take over if she worked hard enough.

Also, it gave her a good reason to visit the restaurant and see him.

It had only been yesterday since they did the deed for the very first time and the impact that he had left on her body was still fresh, she could still feel it through her gut and through her loins—quite literally and emotionally. Hot damn, she didn’t know Doh Kyungsoo was such a stunner in that area. That was the best she’d ever had in her entire life and she’d only had about four and a half sloppy hookups—the half part being a failed make-out session in some club she was forced to go to by her friends because the guy wanted to do it raw at the back of his car that wasn’t even tinted and so she refused and just walked away.

It had been well over two years since her last ual encounter. She was practically a again—well, science probably wouldn’t be able to back her up on this but she liked to believe that her lady bits closed up after such a long time, kind of like a neglected piercing per se. She had completely abstained from the last two years of her university because she got too busy to even go out and party, let alone get all with men she didn’t even intend to actually date.

On that end, her thoughts swished back to the magnificence that was Doh Kyungsoo. Holy , it was both beautiful and tragically hot. Cue Madonna’s Like A . He did it. He definitely took her second unofficial ity.

He gave her everything she didn’t even know she needed. He pleasured her like he was going to die if he didn’t. He loved every outline, every detail of her body. He showed her things only he could show. She immediately got addicted by his effortless dominance; every touch, every bite, and every kiss had that force and authority that drove her mad, in a damn good way

She never thought she enjoyed being under someone. Only Doh Kyungsoo could make it plausible in her eyes.

With her eyelids fluttering half-open, Miyoung found herself running palms across her thighs as the heat grew in her just by thinking about him. It was a new relationship, not to mention her first official relationship with anyone. It was normal to feel like this, right? She sure hoped it was. If she’d just gone completely mad after one , she feared she’d die the second time it happened.

She wasn’t fond of the idea of dying of a heart attack as a result of intense ual pleasure and have it written on her death certificate. Nu-uh. Not in this lifetime. Not even in her next life when she was a rabbit. Hmm, a rabbit sounded fitting though.

Assert. Blossom. Conquer.

Assert. Blossom. Conquer.

Assert. Blosso—

A knock on her car door interrupted her inner mantra session. It was Choi Soobin who waved eagerly while grinning. “Ugh, fine.” She was about to turn the engine off completely when the woman knocked again while shaking her head. Miyoung pulled the window down and frowned. “What?” She asked.

“Hi, Miss Miyoung! It’s nice to see you here, oh, by the way—I don’t mean to be rude but you’re a bit off the center from the parking line? Perhaps you could adjust your car a little bit so other customers will be able to park comfortably?” The manager suggested, still with a sweet grin on her face. Miyoung peeked her head out of the window to check her spot. “It’s like three centimetres off, it’s not a big deal.” She shrugged.

“Miss Miyoung, it’s just that it would be easier for the following cars to—”

“Okay okay, relax. I will redo it, geez, move away for a sec.” She eventually gave in and restarted her car. At this point, she was starting to get used to Soobin’s detail-oriented personality. Despite this, there was no way of hating the woman since she was also the sweetest and quirkiest person at the same time. Although, she wouldn’t mind getting back the Choi Soobin who was more awkward and too shy when they first met.

Just like yesterday, Miyoung recalled their drive on the way back to Seoul when she had a hard time making excuses of where exactly she did go during the time when the girls left the cabins to explore.

Soobin had all the innocent yet still annoying questions and it was difficult maneuvering around it just so she could avoid bringing up Doh Kyungsoo and potentially ing things up with one slip of the tongue.

Even the way she very slightly limped while walking yesterday, hawk-eyed Choi Soobin noticed and asked her what happened. Obviously, she had to think of a different answer other than the actual truth that she just got laid AF after over two years of abstinence.

When Miyoung was done adjusting the car, she hopped out of the vehicle and approached Soobin who stood by her own car. “Did you just arrive too? Aren’t you a little late?” She interrogated.

Soobin nodded, glancing at the restaurant before speaking, “Oh, I just had to do my annual general check-up so I’m going in a bit late today. Speaking of check-ups, how is your sprain, Miss Miyoung? Did you decide to get it checked or are you feeling better now? I can’t imagine how bad you fell.”

Oh, right, the sprain. She pulled a muscle in her inner thighs after slipping and unintentionally doing a full leg split. Miyoung almost forgot that she had used the clumsy card to get away from the grilling last night. What a smartass she was. She could have said she did a hundred squats and fifty leg scissors; it would have sounded more admirable and a lot less physically uncoordinated of her.

“It’s fine now, anyway—” Miyoung walked ahead and motioned the woman to follow her. “I can’t believe I’m saying this but I quite enjoyed the company trip. I got to know all of you better.” She spoke. In fact, one person, in particular, she got to know a lot-lot better.

“I agree, Miss Miyoung! I always love company trips because we all get to spend time together not as co-workers but as friends, you know, all of us just in our natural state.” She beamed and did a little hop as they approached the entrance of the restaurant. They arrived in and were greeted by some of the staff whom they passed by.

Miyoung went ahead towards the office when Soobin stayed put at the front desk to check the computer first and talk to some staff. When she got into the office, Kyungsoo was inside, on his laptop most likely doing the inventory or stocking. Their eyes immediately locked as she closed the door behind her. A smile threatened to push the corners of her lips up but she held it in, fearing that she’d totally give in and run to him for a hug.

She reminded herself that there were cameras in the office. Danger zone.

“Hey there, Ramyeon.” Kyungsoo casually greeted before looking down on the screen of his laptop again. A part of her wanted to be all petty and get upset over the casual welcome but then again, she was fully aware of what they had mutually agreed upon—to keep their relationship a secret for the meantime.

“Hi.” Miyoung cleared . “I’m here for more training, what else you got for me?” she bit out. It had never been more difficult to control herself. She literally had her fingers death-gripping her purse just so she wouldn’t cave in.

How was she supposed to survive this torture?

“Perfect timing. I was actually just pulling out some PDFs of our old menus. This is just an idea, but—” Kyungsoo chuckled and rubbed the tip of his nose as he twirled the chair pointing in her direction. “—don’t you think it’ll be fun if you learned some of your mom’s original recipes and serve it to your dad? I just thought maybe it’ll be good for you to honour your mom that way and remind your dad that fifty percent of you is still … her.”

Fluff and feathers occupied her cushion of a heart upon hearing such a thoughtful idea from him. The way Kyungsoo constantly regarded and respect
