Hyejin and wheein sat on the table beside each other and ate their lunch silently.

"Yah, Kim Wheein! What's wrong with you?"

-- "What?" wheein replied coldly, rolling her eyes

"Why are you acting like that? You're being mean to your sister!" she answered

-- "I have a bad feeling about this, can you talk to Byulyi unnie?"

"Talk about what?" hyejin replied in confusion

-- "Ask Byulyi unnie to stay away from my sister" wheein blurted

"What?! Are you crazy? Unnie didn't do anything wrong! Tell me the real problem wheein-ah, do you like byulyi unnie?" she said with annoyance and a bit of concern

-- "NO!" she replied "I'm just worried about my sister, I think they're dating" 

"Hey, everyone knows that Byulyi unnie is straight, that's impossible" hyejin replied, giving her friend some assurance "-and if they are, you don't have to worry about your sister, unnie won't ever harm anyone. She's a good person, wheein" 

-- "You just said she's straight, and it doesn't mean she's a good person she can't hurt my sister" 

"I know you're concerned, but I think your sister is old enough to know what she's doing"

-- "Yongsun unnie have been through many breakups and failed relationships, you don't understand hyejin-ah! I was there when she cried, when she was cheated, when everyone left her I was there! She went through so much pain, I can't bare to see her like that again"

Hyejin left a loud sigh "I totally understand you, but I don't think we need to interfere between the unnies, let them figure it out on their own. hmm?" she said patting wheein's head

-- "fine" she answered, feeling defeated

 Yongsun and Moonbyul continued the exchange of messages, it's been weeks. The two can't get enough of each other, during mornings, lunch, breaks, even at night, almost every second their free, they will message each other talking about random stuff.

Yongsun can't stop grinning after reading Moonbyul's last message

Yongsun rushed to her closet to choose her outfit. 'Should I wear a dress? Something revealing?'

'No, Yongsun-ah! You looked desperate'

It took her hours to pick her clothes. She ended up wearing jeans and an elegant long-sleeve blouse

Byul-ah, I'm here! Just tell your name to the receptionist ㅋㅋ 

It's almost 30 minutes and Byul is not even replying on her message. 'She's never late' she thought. She's starting to worry, anxiety creeping on her mind 'what if she changed her mind? No, she would've told me. Maybe something came up' She said to herself. She's starting to doubt Byul's intention about going on a date with her 'I shouldn't really get my hopes high, she never said she's not straight maybe she just want to make me feel better'

In the midst of her neverending thoughts, someone stood in front of her. She turned to look.

"Hello Unnie, Sorry I'm late. I got stucked on traffic" Moonbyul greeted her

Yongsun sighed in relief -- "I thought you will leave me hanging here" she chuckled 

"Why would I do that to you unnie?" The younger replied 

-- "I already ordered a meal for us, but here's the menu, choose more foods to your liking, suit yourself byul-ah" she softly smiled "my treat" 

"Unniee, you're going to make me fat" she whined jokingly 

When the food arrived, they ate in silence. 

"Unnie what's wrong" Moonbyul asked 

Yongsun held her spoon tighter "Byul-ah, I want you to answer me honestly" 

"What is it unnie?" She asked

-- "You know that I really like you right? Why did you agreed to date me then?" 

Tongue tied, failing to form coherent sentences. "it's because.. I really like being around you unnie.. I'm happy when I'm with you, I feel safe, comfortable, and I really like your presence... but if you're going to ask about my feelings, I don't really know" Moonbyul blurted, stuttering in between

She held byul's hands "sorry for ruining the mood byul-ah, I understand, I'm not going to force you or anything" she looked into her eyes "-but byul, if you feel that you can't really give me a chance, just say it. You don't need to beat around the bush, don't make unnie suffer. Hmm?" Yongsun smiled sincerely.

Byul just nodded. 

"Since it's finally a date, can I ask more personal questions?" Yongsun asked, raising her brows

-- "I have told you a lot of personal information about me, my parent's name, even my sisters, you even know my address and-" she said as she laughs 

"Do you have a boyfriend?" Yongsun cutted her 

-- "Unnie, if I do I won't be here at the first place" she replied

"How about exes? Have you even been in a relationship?" She hesitantly asked "You don't need to answer if you don't feel like" 

-- "I had been in a relationship with a man once, when I was in Highschool. Actually I don't consider it a relationship" she chuckled

"Why?"

-- "I think I only said yes because of peer pressure? And it's not even a month, I actually didn't feel anything between us"

"Nothing? As in nothing?" She asked in confusion 

-- "Well, I was attracted to him. He's cute and kind but he never really cared about me, we just broke up through text" 

"Did it hurt?"

-- "I didn't even cry, I was like 'okay' this is how it ends" making them both laugh "How about you Unnie? I'm sure you have exes"

"Nah, you don't want to hear about them. It's too early for drama"

-- "Unnie no cheating! I told you mine"

"Okay fine" rolling her eyes jokingly "My first relationship was with a woman, she's my first love, we had good memories together. That's a good 3 years of my life, my highschool life was totally awesome thanks to her. But it ended when I found out that she's secretly stealing stuff and money from me. Well, I might let it pass if she just stole something unimportant, but she took the funds I saved for the orphanage I regularly visit. Then I realized, ah this is how long my patience can go. But you know what's the saddest part byul-ah?"

Moonbyul nodded, wiping the tear escaping Yongsun's eyes.

"-when she said she never really loved me, she was really after my money. I felt my heart crumbled, I was too broken at that time. I'm so thankful I have wheein"

-- "shhh, it's okay Unnie, you don't need to continue your story. Let's just talk about other things" Moonbyul said patting Yongsun's back

"No, I'm not yet done" Yongsun refuted

-- "If you cry again, I'll go home!"

"I promise I will not cry this time" she smiled to Byul "Well, I had a boyfriend too"

-- "A boyfriend?? But why?"

"I was a teenager, I want to experiment, try new things, and know myself better" she smiled softly.

The younger only nodded, the statement made her curious, she's now all eyes and ears on Yongsun.

"I met him last year, he's from the same university. We were okay at first, but I noticed that he's never sincere. You know I'm really good at reading someone's motive and emotions" she laughed "He only comes to me for , to the point that I almost got pregnant. One day, my dad saw him with another woman, and that's when my family went to interfere with my relationships. So don't think that wheein hates you for being distant, she's just protecting me" 

-- "Did you cry?"

"I thought I wouldn't. But I was thinking, maybe the cheating part is not what really hurted me, it's the fact that after all these years no one took me seriously, everyone took me for granted" 

Moonbyul felt that she needs to bring Yongsun somewhere to calm her down. -- "Unnie, are you done eating? Let's get out of here"

They both entered Yongsun's car. Yongsun went to check her face, she retouched her makeup.

"Byul-ah where are we going?"

-- "Do you like watching films?

"Yeah, but I really hate horror"

-- "Let's go to cinema unnie, my treat this time"

The two seated in front of the big screen, almost no people inside since it's early afternoon. 

"Parasite? You like this movie?" Yongsun asked

-- "Yeah, the actors are all big time! They're all really good"

As they watch the movie, they're occasionally looking at each other, checking each other's reaction, sometimes they will hold each other's hands.

"What do you think unnie?" Moonbyul asked

-- "It's really good! You know I really hate it when people don't want to let go from their opaque bubble of privilege"

"You're really good for pointing that out, what's good for you may not be good for many people. I sure Unnie, you're going to be a really good lawyer."

-- "Of course I will, how about you? What do you think about the movie?" 

"Well unlike you, I focused on their acting, the production and stuff. It's really creative, an eye opener. I wish they will make more films like this. Full of depth. It really emphasized the unfair treatment and unfair system between the poor and the privileged" 

-- "Sodam's acting is really superb!" Yongsun blurted

Moonbyul looked at her, frowning "I can act better than that!"

Yongsun was taken aback "Why? Is Byulie jealous?" Raising her brow and showing her cocky smile 

-- "Why would I be?" 

"I don't know, why don't you ask yourself?" Yongsun said, smirking

-- "Unnie are you tired? We can go home now if you're tired" she said, changing the subject

"Not yet, you said you want to spend the whole day with me? Let's go, I'm gonna show you my favorite spot"

This time, they went to the car together, hand in hand 

"Unnie, where are we going?" The younger asked

-- "secret"

"Unnie, this is so far from jeonpo-dong. Are you sure we can go home on time?" 

-- "don't worry about going home, I will give you a ride"

"Songdo beach???" Moonbyul asked as she saw the car going to that direction 

-- "It's my favorite spot here in Busan. You're the only person I brought here aside from my family"

Moonbyul smiled upon hearing that information.

They went to the shore and they placed a towel so they can sit. 

"Here" Yongsun reached Byul's hand, giving her a lotion

-- "What's this?"

"Mosquito repellent, you're so pale, mosquito bites will look ugly on you" making them both laugh 

The two intently watched the sunset, they felt that this moment is intimate, calming, and special. Yongsun laid on the towel, her body fell flat against the sand. Moonbyul looked back at her.

"Unnie, can I sleep here?" She said yawning

-- "There's no people near this area, the resort side is far from here. Sleep here" Yongsun tapping a space beside her "I will look after you"

Moonbyul laid her head on Yongsun's shoulder. 

"Ahhh, so comfortable" she said

Yongsun is taking her time examining Moonbyul's face, tracing her jaw and her eyes. She touched the mole in Byul's right eye

"Is this a mole byul-ah?"

-- "yes, I had that since I was born"

"I have that too! It's on the left side though"

Moonbyul opened her eyes in surprise -- "Really?!" She checked Yongsun's mole and she touched it "Our moles are mirroring each other" she chuckled. She noticed Yongsun staring at her lips. 

"Why Unnie?"

-- "Hmm?" Yongsun asked in confusion

"Do it" Moonbyul said

-- "Do what?" 

"You can kiss me, it's okay" she said, giving Yongsun an assurance 

Yongsun leaned closer to Byul, one hand holding her by the nape and supporting her own weight with the other hand. Byul closed her eyes in anticipation. Yongsun hesitated and gave Byul a tight hug instead.

"We don't need to rush Byul-ah. Take your time knowing what you like, and what you don't" she whispered to Byul. 

Not long after that, the two fell asleep.

Moonbyul woke up. 

"Unnie" she said as she shakes Yongsun to wake her up 

"Unnie, it's already 10pm. I'm sorry I forgot to set an alarm" 

Yongsun stretched her arms, still dozing off. 

"Let's go?" She said as she yawns

Moonbyul fell asleep on the car. Yongsun is focused on the road but her mind is going somewhere. She reached her apartment in no time because there's no traffic at night. She was about to leave her car when she noticed Moonbyul, peacefully sleeping beside her in the front seat.

'Oh , I forgot about byul' she said to herself 

she tapped Byul's shoulder to wake her up, when she noticed that Byul is in deep sleep, she carried her in her back, giving her a piggyback.

"I'm sorry Byul-ah, you must be tired" 

When she reached her apartment. She went to call Byul's mother, she remembered that Byul gave her mother's number for fun. She informed her that Byul will stay for a night. 

"When will Byulyi come home?"

-- "Don't worry Mrs. Moon, I will bring her home tomorrow at 4am. She have her classes tomorrow"

"Good, just call me so I can pick you up tomorrow at the entrance okay?"

-- "Sure Mrs. Moon. Again I'm so sorry, I'll make sure this won't happen again" 

"Don't worry, as long as she's safe it's fine"

When the call ended, she tried to wake up Byul to eat some late dinner. She won't budge, Yongsun decided to let Byul sleep and just feed her before she leaves. 

She watched her sleep, cuddling with her. She was the happiest at that moment.
