Civannah and Changmin’s Kitchen

“Yeah. Im looking at it now.” Civannah spoke to her friend Stephanie, who she had on speaker as she made herself a smoothie. “I don’t think anything is going on between them. I’m sure that Kat would have told me.”

“But you see Kaia’s comment. Why would she write that if something wasn’t going on? Beside’s your dating Changmin and haven’t told her.”

“That’s completely different.”

“Is it?” Stephanie scoffed.

“It is. Anyway, can’t you ask Blake? Or Maddie? She’s out there in Cali with them.”

“We promised not to interfere with each others love life after Blake got into it with Maddie’s boyfriend when he thought she was being cheated on..”

“How could I forget? We had to go bail him out at 2 am.”

“I don’t see what the big problem is though, Civ. You know Blake, he’s a great guy. Such a great guy that you had me break my promise and introduce them at Cochella that year we all went.”

“And boy did it do her good. She finally got out of that little funk she was in.”

“It’s not cool to call it a funk, She was cheated on.”

“And we told her that he seemed fishy from the start.”

“Wow Civ, i’m gonna blame that on your hangover. I gotta get back to work, ill add you to the group chat. Even if you cant be there you can still help us plan the best birthday for her.”

“Right….”

“You forgot her birthday was coming up, didnt you?”

“No...Maybe… I’ve been busy okay.”

“It’s fine Civ. I’m sure noone is expecting much from you. Just focus on work and Changmin. I’ll let you know if i hear anything about the pending couple.” Stephanie said before hanging up.

“Hey babe.” Changmin said walking into the kitchen and kissing Civannah on the cheek.

“Hey. I made smoothies.” Civannah said as she handed Changmin a glass.

“Thank’s. So who was so important that you would leave our cuddle session so early.”

“Steph.” Civannah laughed as she put up her unused ingredients.

“Remind me who Steph is again.”

“Stephanie was my roommate in college. She’s also Blake’s sister.”

“And Blake is?”

“Stephanie’s brother. He’s also Katrina’s possible boyfriend. But what I couldn’t talk to Stephanie about is how Jongin commented under the post.”

“He did?”

“He did.” Civannah said she took her empty glass and the blender over to the sink.

“But last I heard Jongin and Katrina got into a huge argument.”

“They did?”

“They did.” Changmin laughed. “Yesterday while you were puking your life away, Jongin met Katrina. Apparently Katrina told Jongin she met Fern and that she wanted to have nothing to do with Taemin. Ofcourse Jongin being protective of Taemin got loud and Katrina tried to silence him by saying she could end his career.”

“Are you serious!? She said that?”

“Baekhyun heard it straight from Jongin’s mouth. I also heard from Taemin’s mouth that Jongin likes your friend a lot and that their pending return to Korea made him very anxious. But because Jongin and Katrina are both your friends I was wondering….”

“Wondering what?”

“I heard that Katrina’s birthday is coming up….”

“Okay? Jongin sends her a present and it smooths itself out?”

“I was thinking more along the lines of bringing her here.”

“For her birthday?”

“Yeah. Why not? She’s never been to Seoul not to mention you get to see your best friend, and I can get to finally meet her. She’d be like practice for when I meet your parents in December.We can also work things out between her and Jongin while she’s here.”

“Can’t meeting her wait until December?”

“Nope. This way I can bring the boys with me in December as another form of support. I’m sure your parents will want to know who you’ve been hanging out with.”

“My parents will just be happy I’m dating.” Civannah laughed. “I’ll text Steph about setting it up later, but no promises. Katrina is afraid of heights. How she managed Colorado to California I’ll never know.” Civannah laughed causing Changmin to chuckle.

SM Halls

“Hey Matthew?!”

“Oh hey Ryan. How can I help you?” Matthew said after Ryan caught up to him.

“Can you give these folders to Civannah for me?” Ryan asked but further explained after receiving a raised eyebrow from Matthew. “They’re my ideas for the ‘Antidote’ music video. I’d give them to her myself but i'd rather avoid Changmin.”

“Why are you avoiding Changmin?”

“Don’t worry about it, it’s not really important. How are you though? I haven’t seen you much since you stopped training.”

“I got saved three times on kpop star, who knew a knee injury would take me out?”

“Yeah. It was nice of SM to offer you a job.” Ryan said as she they continued walking.

“I guess.”

“But don’t you ever wonder why you had to be an assistant? You could have been a producer.”

“You can’t really bite the hand that feeds you.”

“Interesting you would say that…”

“What’s so interesting about it?”

“You said not to bite the hand that feeds you. But isn't that what you did? I’m just saying karma is a .” Ryan said to Matthew with a knowing smile. “I better get going. Tell BoA I said hello. That is where you were headed right?” Ryan chuckled as she turned to leave, leaving Matthew dumbfounded.

Civannah and Changmin’s Living Room

“Civannah please stop crying.”

“I’m making Katrina watch this after you guys meet. This was so unfair.” Civannah cried as she uselessly tried wiping her tears away.

“I just wanted to show you my music.” Changmin tried to defend himself knowing it wasn’t easy to make Civannah cry.

“That was so unfair Min! Why didn’t you guys change the plot so he would have told and gotten help? You were supposed to be friends.” Civannah wailed, and Changmin was happy when his phone rang.

“I’m gonna take this and hope you calm down while I’m gone.”

“Calm down?! How do you expect me to calm?! The music was such a contrast to the story.”

“Is Civannah okay?” Yunho asked, concerned.

“I showed her the “Before U Go” video.”

“Both versions?”

“Both versions.” Changmin said as she scratched the back of his neck.

“I’m not envious at all.”

“I won’t be envious when you have to go through the same thing when you get a girlfriend.”

“Think I’ve got a while for that.” Yunho said with a chucle. “Anyway, I called to warn you that SM is sending us to Japan for a fansign and two day concert.”

“But we just got back from Japan a few months ago.”

“I know but that’s where the priority fans are right now.”

“I don’t know how i’m going to break this to Civannah. When do we leave?”

“They’re still planning everything before they advertise it but i’d say some time mid to end November.”

“But that’s around the time of Katrina’s birthday.”

“That matter’s why?”

“Because i’m planning to bring her here for her birthday.”

“I think Civannah can handle her friend all on her own.”

Meanwhile

“Civannah why are you crying?”

“It’s not important.” Civannah said before blowing her nose. “What’s up?”

“I texted Kaia and Maddison. They thought that birthday in Seoul was a great idea.”

“Seriously! That's awesome,Changmin is going to be so excited.”

“Excited for what?” Changmin asked as he walked back into the living room.

“Steph said the girls liked your idea to come to Seoul.” Civannah answered as she put the phone on speaker.

“Great! Just leave everything to us. All you need to do is get Katrina on the flight.”

“Well that brings me to my next topic. I ran the idea by Blake so if he had anything planned he could do it ahead of time...but he wants to come along too… I guess he really does like her but because he doesn’t know about Changmin, he thinks it would be safe to come with. He even got Nate to agree to come since Dom would have to look after Sophie.”

“Who’s Sophie?” Changmin whispered.

“Mad and Dom’s daughter.” Civannah answered before giving her attention back to Stephanie. “It’ll be nice to have everyone together again, we’ll just have to do a girls day instead of a vacation.”

“But why not have Dom and Sophie come too? I like kids and my friend has a daughter. I'm sure we could take Sophie off their hands for a few hours or even a night.”

“You’re literally the sweetest.” Civannah smiled as she kissed Changmin’s cheek.

“Adorable. I’ll let you guys continue but please no babies anytime soon.” Stephanie laughed before ending the call.

“I’m glad they think it's a great idea.” Changmin smiled.

“You’re really excited about this?”

“I am. But I’m a bit bummed for Jongin…”

“Why?”

“You heard her. That Blake guy likes Katrina. Taemin told me that Jongin still hasn’t talked to her and they leave in a couple day’s.”

“I think we should stay out of it until they say something to us.”

“Hopefully they work things out before he comes back..” Changmin said pulling Civannah into his arms as he laid back on the couch.

“What if they don’t work things out?”

“Don’t worry. I’m sure Jongin can handle things on his own. Now how about we continue on with our video’s. Ready for ‘Catch Me’?”

“I swear if i gonna cry anymore today your sleeping on the couch.” Civannah half joked as changmin was already searching for the video.
