D-4 until Katrina’s Birthday

“Okay, it’s been a few days. I know you want to go through with your plan for Katrina’s birthday, but I really think you should talk with Taemin first.”

“Talk to him about what? As my friend what he did was uncalled for.”

“And you should tell him that. Pick his mind a bit. You helped plan this for Katrina’s birthday and if you don’t feel like his explanation is reason enough for what he did you can ask him not to attend.” Jongdae suggested.

“I can’t do that to him.” Jongin sulked.

“But he doesn’t have a problem doing it to you.”

“And here we go.” Sehun whispered to Chanyeol as he rolled his eyes at Baekhyun.

“I told you to leave it alone in California. Apologize and move on. You’ve been so blinded by love you couldn’t see the way his eyes changed, his face changed, every time she was mentioned since he saw her picture. Do you know they follow each other on Instagram? Who’s to say that Katrina and Civannah didn’t come up with this plan for exposure?”

“Baekhyun you’re being ridiculous.”

“No. You’re being unrealistic. You are in one of the most pop Kpop groups in the world, as is Taemin, and Changmin, who would both be considered legends. How sure are you that they aren’t just acting.?”

“Because I trust both of them? Jongin said firmly.

“Then would you like for me to break your trust?” Baekhyun said with a raised brow.

“There’s nothing you could say that would break my trust in them.” Jongin spoke and Baekhyun smirked in return.

“I have something to do. So I’ll leave first.” Baekhyun said as he got up from his seat to leave the apartment.

“What the was that?” Jongin asked as soon as the front door shut.

“I didn’t know he didn’t like Civannah and Katrina.” Jongdae spoke.

“Has he ever met them?” Sehun asked.

“He met her a few days ago. He had to talk to her since she’s in charge of couple pr.” Chanyeol answered.

“Don’t stress over Baekhyun right now. We can deal with him later. Right now, you should be worried about talking with Taemin.” Jongdae said thoughtfully.

“I will but after Katrina’s party. She deserves to enjoy her birthday.”

“Okay enough about Katrina’s party and Katrina’s birthday. We have more pressing matters…”

“And what might that be Yeol?” Sehun asked.

“My birthday is also in four days and no one has even asked me what I want to do.” Chanyeol pouted cause if the other three boys to laugh, succeeding is lighting the mood a bit.

Civannah’s Office - SM

“And can you make sure to send the blast that the artist and their partners' pages need to be private.”

“Yes Ms. Jackson.”

“Just call me Katrina, Kaz.”

“Sure, Katrina.” Kaz said testing it out to really make sure it was okay to call her by her name.

“Civannah I-” Changmin spoke but cut himself off when he realized that it was Katrina and not Civannah.

“Sorry, she’s not here…” Kaz spoke, confused as to why Changmin was looking for Civannah.

“Kaz, why don’t you get started and I’ll join you later. There’s something I want to talk with Changmin about.”

Kaz gave a bow to Katrina before walking out of the office, shutting the door behind her to give the two some privacy.

“Have a seat…” Katrina said as she moved from behind Civannah’s desk to sit across from Changmin. “You’re the only one I have a file for that I haven’t met in person, why is that?” Katrina asked calmly, looking Changmin in the eyes.

“From the look in your eyes, I can assume that you already know.” Changmin said carefully.

“I’ve known for quite some time. I was only waiting for you both to tell me.”

“So you aren’t mad?”

“Should I be?” Katrina asked with a raised brow.

“We’ve been dating for two years and never told you. You're even here in Korea and we still never told you.”

“I can only assume that I’m the major reason behind it. After me and Matthew broke up, I just generalized that all idols and trainees were like him. But I’d never want to come in between Civannah’s happiness. So I apologize. I can only imagine how much trouble this has caused, if your argument the other day was any indication.”

Changmin sat still and could only blink. “You’re….apologizing?”

“Do you want me to take it back? I figured I owed you that much.”

“Thank you.”

“You’re welcome. So here’s what we’re going to do.”

“Do what?”

“Do you want to continue dating Civannah or not?”

Bookshop Cafe

“Thanks for taking me to run those errands.”

“It’s my job as your assistant.”

“Ahh so you’re not my friend anymore?” Civannah laughed.

“I’ll be honest, I didn’t know how you would think of me after finding out about me and Katrina’s history.”

“I don’t like the situation, but there’s a lot I don’t know about it because it isn’t my situation. I won’t ask either of you because it’s not my business. You’ve been a great friend to me since I’ve come here and she has been my best friend all my life; I hope you both can figure something out.”

“So you’re not going to fire me?”

“Do you want me too?”

“I’m just checking. Anyone else would have.”

“Trust me when I say I have your back. Changmin wants you fired, it was one of the reasons we aren’t talking right now…..”

“Hey. Hey. No getting all sad now. If you need to fire me for your relationship, then do it.” Matthew said seriously.

“No. I’m not firing you. Besides, it wouldn’t solve any of our problems.” Civannah sighed.

“Have you talked to him?”

“I want to but, I’m scared. What if it’s really over for us? Matthew I love him. I love him in a way that I’ve never loved before and I’m scared that some girl is going to swoop in and take him from me.”

“Some girl being Han Ye Seul?” Matthew asked and Civannah nodded her head.

“You’re so clueless. Changmin is so in love with you, no one is going to be able to sway him. You should be proud. Proud to date him. Proud that he wants you. Be confident. Anyone would be lucky to have you. If you need more time before you talk to him then take it, but I wouldn’t wait too long, Katrina’s birthday is in four days.”

“You remember her birthday?”

“How could I forget it?” Matthew whispered.

“Hm?” Civannah asked, not hearing him.

“Oh it was nothing.” Matthew dismissed. “So what’s next on the list of errands to run.”

“We need to stop by the storage and make sure all the props are ready to be shipped to Japan. After that we-” Civannah paused when her phone went off for a notification from an unknown sender.

“What’s wrong?” Matthew asked, seeing Civannah’s face scrunch up.

“Someone sent me a picture of Katrina and Changmin hugging in my office. And a sound clip.”

“Well play the clip.” Matthew said, wondering what the clip says.

“I love Changmin!...I love him.”
