Prologue

“HYUNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!” Zelo came running up the stairs, the green war paint still smeared on his left cheek. “Hyung, there’s an unidentified object knocking the door!”

As usual, the first person Zelo looked for was Yongguk. He didn’t really care about Himchan, or the three other members who arrived later than them, since none of them helped in the building of Zelo the Awesome Robot.

Well, at least that’s what Yongguk always calls him.

Zelo had made so much noise that the rest of the members had already gathered around the door, Youngjae and Himchan pushing each other away to get a good look at the spyhole. The knocking continued.

“It’s an earthling?”

“It could be a trap!”

“Can we eat it?” Zelo suddenly injected into the loud chatter that had broken out between the six bewildered boys.

And then, in unison, all five of them turned towards General Himchan. Himchan stared at all of them back in return, shrugged, and opened the door.

“Omo it’s cute!” Jongup squealed. The little earthling stared at the six of them before pushing Jongup away and ran into their BAP base.

“Look, she dropped something,” Youngjae picked up the piece of pink paper the little earthling dropped and started reading the contents out loud. “Congratulations, BAP has been chosen to host the sixth season of Hello Baby!”

All of them stared at each other.

“Will that earthling steal my cherry tomatoes?” Zelo asked a little worriedly.

“It’s a baby earthling, and we have to take care of it and raise it, and which means Yongguk hyung, you can’t watch your war movies any—”

“No! No no no! Fu—”

“You guys, if we do this properly, we can get the baby to get girls to talk to us and—” Himchan started excitedly. When he didn’t get any response, he turned over to Jongup who was standing beside him, still staring in the direction that the little earthling had took. There was an awkward pause before Jongup started clapping.

“It’s a good idea, hyung!” Jongup agreed, nodding his head and clapping.

“Shoot shoot shoot shoot —”

Youngjae glared at their leader, who was once again engrossed in his war movie, the little earthling somehow curious and was now sitting beside him, staring into the flashing iPad screen as Yongguk started screaming out loud in excitement.

“What do you think of this, Daehyun?”

Daehyun shrugged.

Youngjae stared at the rest of his excited group members, Yongguk, Zelo and the earthling with the war movie, Himchan and Jongup probably talking about how they could use the baby to attract more fans, and Daehyun standing by his own, before he facepalmed himself.

I guess I’ll have to be the one taking proper care of the baby, huh?
