Chapter 9 – 21th day of June
Do I have a choice?“What about Hawaii?”
“Too far Jungsoo”
“Okinawa?”
“Still far”
“Jeju?”
“Hmm… Nope.”
“Busan?”
“Nope”
“Gangneung?”
“No”
“Muuido?”
“No.”
“Pohang?”
“No”
“Yeosu?”
“No”
“Ya! Kim Heechul! Why are you being like this?” Jungsoo finally snapped, genuinely annoyed at his husband.
Since his plan on saving Heechul depended on this vacation, Jungsoo was trying his best to plan it as detailed as possible. The anxiety and planning were stressing him out every day. It didn’t help that Heechul seemed to be overly sensitive these days. He knew his husband well and it seems like he was sulking about something that he did. That’s why whenever he raises the topic of this vacation, he would appear uninterested and this stresses Jungsoo more.
This day’s breakfast, Jungsoo finally couldn’t control his temper anymore and raised his voice on Heechul. He immediately regretted it after seeing Heechul’s surprised face. But, too late he had hurt him and he want to punch himself for that.
“Sorry—“ He started to say but Heechul instantly cut him off.
“No need. Let’s finish breakfast. You’ll be late.” Heechul said, trying hard to hide his emotions. But Jungsoo can definitely see through it.

The awkward silence between them even succeeded taking over their usual morning drive to work. Jungsoo still felt guilty so he didn’t dare say anything that can worsen the situation. On the other hand, Heechul was busy browsing with his phone, a habit that he rarely does whenever they are in the car together.
Their drive towards Heechul’s flower shop felt like days because of the silence. Jungsoo stopped the car on the sidewalk to drop Heechul off.
“See you later. Don’t forget to have lunch.” Jungsoo tried his best to sound natural but to avail.
“Mm.” Heechul replied before closing the door and walking towards his shop.
Jungsoo remained distracted the whole day because of what happened earlier in the morning. He reflected again and again if he did something that made Heechul this upset to him. He was furious at himself whenever he recalls how he raised his voice to him. Afterall, this is really not the time to be having a fight with him. He needs to protect him. He must save him.
“You’re an idiot Park Jungsoo” he said to himself as he frustratingly ruffles his hair.
Jungsoo slapped himself hard on the cheeks hoping to get back on his senses. He must apologize properly later when he gets home. He will do everything just to make Heechul forgive him before this day ended. What pride? He doesn’t care, Heechul should be his only priority right now.
Heechul had been spacing out in his shop as he was arranging the newly delivered roses that he even got himself pricked by the thorns.
He was really feeling guilty for upsetting Jungsoo too much th
