geon hyun: thank you very much for coming into my aid.

kim bum: oh, its no problem. no biggy sir.

geon hyun: I'd like to invite you for dinner tomorrow night, if your free.

kim bum: oh, thank you!

geon hyun: no, THANK YOU. you can go now, thank you for your services.

He took a bow and left geon hyun's office and went straight home.

Meanwhile, ga eul was in her robe lying on her bed. she closed her eyes and reminisced the past about how she came to be a commoner with her auntie and uncle, about how it all started, about how this came to be.

She opened her music box as her memories start to play in her mind.

Young ga eul was at school waiting for her ride to fetch her home.While waiting patiently, a man approached her

"little girl, your appa sent me to fetch you home" the man said, charming the little girl

"ah? but my appa told me the driver will come and get me like he usually does?" she looked up with curious eyes

"the driver had an emergency while he was on his way" he said

"is he alright? what happened?" said the worried young girl

"come with me and uncle will explain to you when we get to the car" he said smiling at her

little ga eul nodded and the guy took her school bag and held her hand with his right hand, and they walked together. the school guard noticed it and yelled at the man

"hey! you! stop right there!"

the guy smiled and faced the bodyguard

"where are you taking the young girl?"

"oh, im a friend of her father. he told me to fetch her"

"sorry sir, but we have a policy here. only their parents and personal caretaker or drivers can fetch them back and forth to school. so, miss chu will have to stay until her ride comes" the guard said as he grabbed ga eul's hand and school bag from the man

"sir, mr. chu will be mad at me if i don't bring her to his office soon"

"sir, i will lose my job if i let you do that" replied the guard

A minute later ga eul's mother arrived and joined the commotion

"ho jin, what are you doing here?" she asked

"madam chu, do you know this guy?" asked the bodyguard

"yes" she answered

"see? she knows me!" the guy named HO JIN pointed at the guard

"excuse me, whats going on here?"

"madam, this guy was trying to take your child" the bodyguard said

"omma, he was fetching me." said the charming clueless girl

"ho jin. what do you think your doing?" her omma was trying to talk calmly even though her heart was starting to rage "whatever conflict you have with my husband or with our company, you do not have the right to involve ga eul! she's just a little girl, an innocent little girl..keep her out of this and don't ever come  near her again"

Ever since then, there had been severel kidnapping attempts to ga eul but fortunately they all failed but sure enough they werent going to stop. Ga eul's dad was a photographer slash tycoon, and he worked alongside his father geon hyun who was also a tycoon.

Their rival company was desperate enough to even go that far as to try to kidnap ga eul to make them number one again. The GGOOM corp. was just too much for them to handle, in just one year they had managed to nail a partnership with KODAK, SAMSUNG, FUJI & SONY and several others.

In order for them to keep ga eul safe, they had to send her to SEOUL to live with her auntie and uncle who couldn't earn a child. [her mom's side]

They had to keep a low profile, and as hard as it was for ga eul's parents. her aunt and uncle became the happiest couple on earth.

They were lucky enough that ga eul's parents had gave them the opportunity of keeping her until she would be taken away to inherit their bussiness. It was a good thing that ga eul grew up knowing how hard it is to earn money, it would her her when she soon has to take over their family business.

Personally, ga eul was okay with it. Although there were times when she wished to be with her real family during the holidays and stuff but she enjoyed it.

Ga eul smiled as another memory flashed in her mind.

"Class, i would like to introduce to you your new classmate, CHU GA EUL" announced the teacher

“Annyong haseyo! My name is ga eul, nice to meet you” she smiled and took a bow

All throughout the classroom one smile stood out, she approached the girl

“hello! What’s your name?” she asked

“Geum Jan di, nice to meet you!” she replied

And that started their undying friendship

Ga eul got up from her lying position and looked at a picture of her and jandi

Ga eul: jandi-ah! Hide me! Their chasing me!

Jandi: whats the matter?

Ga eul: they want my lunch money!

Little boys: there she is! *point GE*

PACK! PACK! PACK!

That was the first time jandi used her roundhouse kick for ga eul

Ga eul: *giggle* that jandi…oh! I forgot, I promised to call her when I get here.

She dialed jandi’s phone number and she answered it.

[jandi] – yobosaeyo?

Ga eul: jandi

[jandi] – ga eul?

Ga eul: jandi, I called you like I promised you.

[jandi] – ga eul yang! Where are you right now? Are you really in Macau?

Ga eul: macau??

[jandi] – yeah, chun sik told me you told him you were going to Macau

Ga eul: uuhh…yeah

[jandi] – what a coincidence! Jae Kyung will be going there tomorrow too! You might just meet each other, she’s currently in London

Ga eul: *widen eyes* what? I need a good lie…oh, its impossible

[jandi] – why?

Ga eul: because, were kind of in a not so progressive city in Macau.

[jandi] – oh, but im sure she’ll find a way to see you, whats the name of the city?

Ga eul: i..forgot. Appa! Where are we again? He’s too drunk. I’ll tell you tomorrow.

Maid: miss, your dinner is ready.

[jandi] – who was that?

Ga eul: oh, that was my cousin. She prepared dinner for me. She’s kind of practicing because she’ll be working at a restaurant so..you know.

[jandi] – oohh.. ga eul, are you okay?

Ga eul: yes, im perfectly okay..infact I live in a mansion and im not in Macau and my dinner is more expensive than my apartment back there, too bad I can’t tell you.

[jandi] – ga eul…I was thinking of visiting you there. Please, tell me where you are..tell me the exact location you are in.

Ga eul: jandi, *fake yawn* im really sleepy, im going to eat now so I could go to bed. Im so tired from the long travel.bye*hang up*

Jandi: aish! That girl.

Jun pyo: so is she really in Macau?

Jandi: yeah..but she has no plans of letting us visit her!

Ji hoo: lets give her some time.

Woo bin: did she say if she’s rich?

Jandi: chun sik’s explaination was clear woo bin. Her parents have a new job in Macau, and those guys who were chasing her were indeed her grandpa’s men, and wants HER to pay the debt of her appa since uncle can’t pay it himself.

Chun sik: ga eul better pay me a real explaination for lying to jandi like this.
