MINJOO couldn’t understand the current situation. Just a moment ago, she just witnessed how her junior, a huge lycan tsundere but now acting like they are super close, almost faint in the presence of the Shaman Princess but now she is watching her enjoy the Ultimate Gooey Brownie that she bought for her as if nothing bad almost happened to her.

“Sunbae~” Yujin called with her cheeks filled with food. “Why aren't you touching your food? Don’t you like what you ordered? I thought you like Red Vel--”

“Ahn Yujin.” Minjoo suddenly called with her eyes narrowed. “How many times are you going to ignore my question?”

“What question?” Yujin innocently asked. “I already told you that it is because I was really overwhelmed by the presence of Her Grace that’s why I almost fainted.”

“Madness--”

“It’s the truth!” Yujin smashed the table with her fist that somehow surprised Minjoo. “I told you that I am her fan and just seeing her back like that made me feel weak!”

“But you didn’t experience the same thing when we first met!”

The two suddenly fell silent, both having their eyes widened. Even Minjoo was surprised at what she just said and she knew for sure that she threw herself into a pit when a smirk curved up off of Yujin’s lips.

“Is that the reason why you are so curious?” Yujin . “You should have just asked right away.”

The lycan then had a flashback of that certain event during the wedding day when she and her twin, Wonyoung, saw their forever bias, Kim Minjoo, outside the hall. They didn’t know what they would be doing even though they planned well on how they were going to leave an impression. They kept on pushing each other on who would approach Minjoo first. Their driver almost lost his hearing when the two shouted in joy after they had a conversation with Minjoo.

“Well, I guess you don’t really have that kind of presence in person.” Yujin lied which didn’t really help Minjoo’s mood at all.

“Is that so…?” Minjoo leaned back and crossed her arms, a challenging smile also painted on her lips. “So, that’s the reason why you are now transferring to the Shaman’s Princess fanclub?”

Yujin nonchalantly nodded which annoyed Minjoo even more but she just shook it away. She knew for sure that getting annoyed won’t give her the real answer. If boring questions won’t squeeze the truth out of Yujin then she probably should start laying down facts.

“Anyway, I saw your blue eyes glow when you were feeling weak at your new idol’s presence. I wonder what it was for.”

Yujin then started coughing, she choked on what she was eating.

‘Got you.’ Minjoo thought. ‘You thought I was really that gullible when I witnessed everything.’

“Mother of Hyunseo, what are you talking about?” Yujin asked, trying to be cool but Minjoo heard the slightest tremble in her voice. Even how she panickingly covered her eyes is suspicious.

"Who is this mother of Hyunseo that you are always blabbering about? Anyway, that's not important." Minjoo raised an eyebrow. “So now, Yujin… Are you going to tell me the truth or should I use force?” Her eyes then glowed red for a split second.

“Force?” Yujin still pretended that she wasn’t fazed. “Would you want to try my strength? Lycans don’t really fall behind in terms of strength, you know?”

“I am well-aware that lycans like you are brute creatures.” Minjoo then leaned to the table and reached out to Yujin’s face which took the other girl aback. “But you guys don’t have this ability of the vampires.”

“S-Sunbae--”

“Don’t you know why vampires are successful when it comes to the entertainment business? Don’t you know why we are the top of the special races even though we are of the same strength as the lycans?”

Minjoo started caressing Yujin’s face, drawing panic on the said beauty.

“M-Minjoo-sunbae--”

“If you don’t know…” Minjoo drew closer, her voice getting even sweeter, far from the usual tone she uses to talk to Yujin. She then her lower lip which shook the heart of the lycan. “Would you let me show you why--”

“Enough!” Yujin swatted Minjoo’s hand away and frantically shook her head. She’s sure Minjoo almost got her there. She was warned by their Alpha about dealing with vampires knowing the danger there is once they use one of their forbidden powers--hypnotism.

“Mother of Hyunseo! Alright! I will tell you what’s really up so please never use that thing on me again! That’s illegal--” Yujin was surprised when she looked back at Minjoo, the girl’s cheeks were completely flushed. She also looked quite flustered.

“S-Sunbae--”

“Don’t mind me!” Minjoo hissed. “Get on and tell me the truth quickly!”

Yujin would want to ask more but the effect of what Minjoo almost did to her made her reveal one of the greatest secrets there is in the Lycan Kingdom, letting Minjoo hit two birds with just one stone.

SUNMI came out of Seulgi’s room and Irene immediately stood up from where she was sitting as if her wife was sent to the emergency room and the doctor just came out. Well, Sunmi technically served as the doctor since Irene first called her when Seulgi collapsed. It was the right decision to call Sunmi since her knowledge about potions also involves healing potions.

“H-How is Seulgi, Aunt Sunmi?” Irene asked, a typical line of those who are waiting outside the emergency room.

Sunmi smiled at her and patted her at the shoulder. “Don’t worry, Irene. She just passed out because of fatigue.”

“F-Fatigue?” Irene repeated.

“Eung, she has been doing physical training. Haven’t you heard about that?” Sunmi had to straighten her back since she had been tending Seulgi for some time that it stiffened. “The King ordered her to train physically. She’s studying martial arts and even usage of weapons in the morning. In the evening, she’s studying and she has to submit a progress report everyday. The other day she was scolded for not studying a thing so her father made her train until she couldn’t even move her legs.”

“W-What?” Irene was taken aback. “I didn’t hear anything about that.”

“She probably didn’t tell you about that so you can just focus on your work.” Sunmi sat on the couch and rested her back. “She’s a very thoughtful child, you see?”

Irene felt her heart sink. Despite Seulgi’s business, she still sends her messages and even videos of her new magic tricks. It's proof that she’s still trying to learn new magics just to have something to show to Irene. “Seulgi…”

“Don’t worry. Despite her being a zero, she has really great physical strength. It’s just she has been drained of energy for the past few days. She’ll be fine with enough rest.” Sunmi then took her phone out to check the list that she made for Seulgi. “I gave her one of my best potions for recovery. I also gave her some energy capsules and most importantly…” She gave Irene a wink. “Iron supplement.”

The Vampire Princess’ face immediately turned pink. “T-Thank you, Aunt Sunmi…” A smile of relief was found on her face for a second but it immediately disappeared when her sight landed on the person sitting next to Sunmi. Her face looked very sour.

“What?” General Son asked, now in flesh and not on her astral body.

“I just want to know what the great General is doing here after pissing and belittling my wife?” Irene asked while looking down at the said general. Seungwan just looked at her before smirking.

“I am sorry for what happened. I was just testing the Princess. I wanted to know her stand about the kingdom issues and I proved to myself that she has the right point-of-view with it.” Seungwan casually explained.

“Is that so?” The sassy Vampire Princess crossed her arms. “Do you really have to anger her so much that you have to bring up her mother?”

Sunmi gasped. She immediately lifted her back from the couch and turned to Seungwan. “You did what?”

“L-Look, Sunmi-unnie… I was just really trying to test her so I can place my full loyalty and trust to her even if she is a zero—”

“But you brought up her mother?” Sunmi mouthed as if not wanting Irene to hear about it but Irene could hear even the smallest whisper.

Seungwan gave out a tired sigh while massaging her temple. “I am sorry. I admit it. I am not in the place to tell her about that. I should’ve been more careful. I really apologize.”

Irene scoffed. “Apologize to Seulgi when she wakes up. You said a lot of mean things to her. You didn’t even acknowledge her as your Princess. I don’t think I can trust you after everything that you said.”

“Are you also angry that I called you mons—”

“Only Seulgi has the right to call me like that, okay?” Irene snapped. “And look! Do you think I look like more of a goddess than of a monster?”

Seungwan and Sunmi just looked at her before awkwardly looking at each other. Sunmi then cleared and stood up. “I-I still have something to do after this. I have to prepare my things to get back to Japan. I’ll be leaving Seulgi in your care, Irene.”

“I-I’ll be taking care of Seulgi?” Irene repeated.

“Of course, who do you want to take care of her? The one who took her first kiss—”

“No! Absolutely not!” Irene’s eyes turned red for a bit and Sunmi had to give out a laugh.

“Alright then. We’ll be leaving. Let’s go now, Seungwan-ah.” The General also stood up and gave her greetings to the Vampire Princess. “I can’t believe the foolish things that you did today.”

“I will explain everything to the Princess once she wakes up.” Seungwan answered.

The two went out of the house and when Sunmi ensured that they were already out of the range of the Vampire’s super hearing, she started to nag at the General.

“I can’t believe that you did that, Seungwan.” The lady said with disappointment in her tone. “I did say that you should meet her to see how much she has changed but I didn’t say that you should anger her by belittling her.”

The General smirked. “You know I have my own ways of doing things.”

“Alright!” Sunmi stopped with her tracks. “Let’s say you did say that to test her but do you really have to bring up the topic about her mother? You know how sensitive the Queen’s death is. The truth about her death is a huge secret to the kingdom. I know that you are one of the King’s favorite generals but don’t be so cocky that he can’t punish you if he finds out that you are bringing this topic to his daughter.”

“Stop…” Seungwan sighed. “I already know that I messed up. Stop poking at my conscience.”

“Just focus on protecting her, alright?” Sunmi sighed and headed to her car. Seungwan just watched her put her stuff at the back but before she even rode the car, the General had to say what she wanted to say.

“Sunmi-unnie… I think I already know why the King has told us to make enough distance from her.”

The other lady had to freeze for a moment before looking at Seungwan with a smile on her face. “Do you understand now what I was meaning to say last time?”

“Yes…” The General, with that serious face of hers, gave a nod. “I can see how much of a big threat she is to our race…”

“Threat?” Sunmi repeated with disbelief. “You don’t know what you are saying, Seungwan-ah.”

“How do you think I will look at it? I believe even the King thinks that way.”

“No.” Sunmi opened the door of her car.

“What she has is the exact ability someone needs to rule the world.”

IRENE threw herself back to the couch as she fell deep to her thoughts. She still can’t trust that Shaman General who bluntly called her a monster and even inferred that vampires are the ones who killed Seulgi’s mother. And, what she witnessed earlier is something that really bothers her.

Questions are running through her mind after that meeting they had with Seungwan. Is it true that the vampires are involved in the Shaman Queen’s death? Did Seulgi really wipe away Seungwan’s astral body like that in just one swipe of her hand? Even the General was clearly surprised by what happened. Irene’s sure that she came to check out how Seulgi managed to do that. And if Seulgi passed out because of fatigue just like what Sunmi said then why was she holding her head when she fell down as if she’s having a very severe headache?

“Ah!” Irene slapped her both cheeks. “It’s not time to think about it. Seulgi is sick now so I have to take care of her!”

The Vampire Princess stood up and headed to the kitchen. She put on an apron and tied her hair in a high ponytail before leaning to the kitchen sink. “Okay, let’s get this started!”

She rolled her sleeves up and even took some stretches before pulling out her phone from her pocket. She dialed a number and then…

“Hello, is this 100 Years Rice Soup Restaurant? I want to order some…” After Irene placed her order, she scratched the back of her head before removing the apron. “Teehee, just as expected. Just thinking that I am about to cook makes me dizzy. It would be better for Seulgi to eat something safe. I might end up accidentally poisoning her if I gave it a try.”

The Princess then made her way to Seulgi’s room while thinking how the Shaman Princess made her really happy during her work breaks. There would always be a message from her whenever she gets back to her phone. She feels really energized seeing the tricks that Seulgi even recorded so that she would be the first one to see them.

“She’s… so sweet.” She told herself. Her shoulders then dropped when she remembered what they were doing before Seungwan ruined the moment. “The atmosphere was just so right but then…”

Irene sighed. She realized that the said moment will also lead to her being fed by Seulgi. She’s been waiting for the day to meet her again so she can have a proper drink. She has learned to get by with what she can drink if Seulgi is not around but it is still not enough to satisfy her thirst. Today’s meeting with her wife is considered as another feeding time.

“It feels like I am always at the receiving end.” Irene felt her heart become heavy. “I should really do something for her this time! At the very least I have to refrain from drinking her blood until she’s healthy again.”

Irene then stopped on her tracks and pulled her phone out only to send a message to her group mates that are all on their vacations. There is actually a group chat that’s only for the vampire members since, let’s be honest, there are things that they can never discuss with Jisoo.

“What should I do to take care of Seulgi this time? It seems like I am always the one receiving something.”

She typed and hit send without thinking twice. She sat by the stairs as she waited for the response of her members. The replies are pretty amusing.

“Read her some bedtime stories.” is what Lisa innocently answered. Obviously, Irene won’t take that seriously and then there’s Jennie who wrote, “Buy her some delicious snacks.”

Irene’s eyebrows met. “Do they think I am dealing with a child here?”

She was about to give up but then there was a response from Rosé that sent chills down her spine. “What the—”

The said vampire actually wrote, “Offer yourself.”

“W-What is Rosé saying!?” she freaked out on herself. She went to hide her phone and stood up only to pick it up again to send a private message to Rosé.

“Rosé, what do you think you are suggesting?” Irene sent a message and it’s not too long before Rosé gave her a call. The Princess took a deep breath before answering the call. She was welcomed by Rosé’s annoying laugh.

“So, I see that you are finally on the move, Princess.” The other vampire commented. “I guess you really missed your Seulgi so much.”

“I want to know what kind of suggestion you just gave, Rosé. How should I offer myself to Seulgi? Don’t you know that I am a princess? I am the future queen!” Irene asked, trying to sound that she’s annoyed when her cheeks are all red.

“But Seulgi is your wife.” Rosé laughed. “And you are supposed to submit to your wife as well. Everyone knows that you will be the queen. Yes, you are a princess but a marriage’s bond won’t be changed by your status in life. A marriage is a marriage and both parties have a role to play.”

“Still I can’t do that!”

Chapter 32: I was just bored and out of seulrene reading when I typed 'arrangedmarriage' and 'seulrene'. Then this story came up. I'm not the type who likes unique themes especially royalty. I prefer the lives of normal people with simple yet romantic love stories. Therefore, I had no expectations. But hey, I guess not having expectations made me really enjoy this story! You wrote all the plot twists quite neatly. It left me confused but excited. The love story is also very tragic and romantic. However, now I'm very confused about their genealogy. But I don't care, the point is that seulrene is united and they are adorable!
