ROSÉ and the others went towards Irene as she is seen alone at the table that is supposed to be for the newlyweds. Irene immediately averted her stare after seeing the smirk on  Rosé’s face.

“Seems like your partner has already left you.” The other girl teased. “It seems like she has gotten tired of you just three hours after the wedding.”

The girls then took free chairs and sat where Irene is with Jennie getting two for her and Jisoo. Lisa noticed it but as usual, she just didn’t mind.

“Unnie!” Jisoo called out to Irene while reaching for her hand. “Am I not dreaming? Did you really get married to another girl!?”

The bride then gave out an awkward laughter. “Believe me it wasn’t what I was expecting to happen. It was supposed to be with a guy but—”

“But she is really good looking, Unnie!” Jisoo commented which suddenly made the others look at her in surprise. Is she really saying that Irene’s partner got her attention because of her looks? “She looked really stunning when she was walking down the aisle. I don’t know what kind of person she is but she seems like a very approachable one. Like a very warm person.”

The whole gang was speechless but then a certain someone broke the ice. “Then…” Lisa started. “If you think like that, why don’t you go near her and greet her.”

Then that’s the signal for the spotlight to transfer to the said vampire.

“Ya, Lisa—” Jennie was about to say something but Lisa’s cold stare silenced her. Lisa then looked back at Jisoo who seemed confused about what was happening (like she usually is). “Irene-unnie doesn’t know much about that girl as well, maybe we could help in getting to know her more.”

“That’s actually a good suggestion.”  Rosé said. She then raised her camera with a cheeky smile on her face. “I will go and document it.”

“B-But why me?” The human girl asked.

“Do you want your unnies to do it? I will definitely not do it.” Lisa asked, she’s glaring at Jennie--a sign that she shouldn’t go and play as the black knight again. “You were constantly saying that you are curious about what kind of person she is, right?”

“B-But…” Jisoo looked at Jennie for help but it seems like she couldn’t expect anything. She then turned to Irene but that unnie seems like she is also looking forward to what is going to happen. Jisoo then puffed her cheeks as her shoulders dropped.

She then turned to where Irene’s partner was. Seulgi is currently talking to some shaman kids. Well, it is more like she is showing them magic tricks and the kids are looking really amazed.

The girl took a deep breath and stood up. “Okay then, I am going to do this for you, Irene-unnie.”

Jisoo made her way towards Seulgi and the kids but she stopped when she was about a metre away from them. She tried to test the waters first and observe what they were doing. The other girls are all watching her on the verge of their seats.

They were surprised when the kids suddenly clapped out of amazement with the trick that Seulgi showed them. They believe that it was through her powers that she was able to fold a bill of money without touching it.

“Princess~ Are we going to be powerful as you are when we grow up?” One of the kids asked.

Seulgi was taken aback knowing what her real status is but her pride was somehow fed because the kids believed in her so-called powers. They don’t seem to be suspecting anything. Showing her powers to innocent kids like them who don’t seem like they can crack a lie is a good way to make the adults believe her too. She’s sure that the kids will tell their parents about how amazing the Shaman Princess is.

“Well, let’s see when you guys get examined.” She said but somehow her voice is tainted with sadness. “But if you work harder, you’ll be more powerful. Trust me… Efforts won’t betray you. That is what I believe… until now.”

Even though they are a bit far away, Irene and the others can hear them. They have the ability to hear things of a certain distance as long as they focus their ears on it. And hearing what her wife said, Irene felt the sincerity and the insecurity at the same time. She still believes that her efforts would pay back even if she is powerless and all.

“Is that the reason why you studied abroad?” Another kid asked. “To improve more of your ability?”

Seulgi then nodded. “Yes, it wasn’t a joke going out of your comfort zone… Going to a place where you don’t know anyone… Being treated completely the reverse of how I was being treated here.”

The young girls clasped their hands together. Looks like the princess has already won some fans. “Please tell us which school you went to. We will go there to when we grow up.”

Seulgi then gulped but she had already planned what to answer at times like this. All she has to do is execute everything with confidence so no one would think that she’s actually lying.

“I studied in a school called Hogw*rts.”

Jisoo was taken aback when she heard that. Even Irene almost choked with her beverage while the other girls couldn’t believe what they just heard.

“Does that school really exist?”  Rosé asked Irene which made her panic a bit. Then Seulgi continued with her speech.

“Ohh… That is how you say it in Korean pronunciation but it is actually called Hogw*rts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.” She just said the full name of the school but this time in her failed English accent. The kids just looked at her and soon clapped. She might’ve failed big time but she sounded really cool back there.

“You have to let our parents know about the school since we can’t understand what you said just now but we will surely go there, Princess!”

Seulgi felt a little relieved. “Alright then, if you go there don’t forget that you are carrying the pride of our clan in your shoulders.”

“Yes, Princess!” The girls then took their leave and Seulgi was left with her deck of cards. A sigh of relief came out of her but then she couldn’t help but to look at the time.

‘When will this event finish?’ She asked herself at the back of her head. She’s actually growing really tired of the whole thing. Royals keep coming on her earlier and she doesn’t really want to deal with adults so whenever she finds the time to talk with others especially kids, she immediately grabs the opportunity so none of the royals will come to her again.

“Did someone understand what she just said? What was her school again?”  Rosé asked the others but Lisa just shrugged her shoulders. It seems like she doesn’t have any idea as well. Jennie frowned at  Rosé when the other girl looked at her.

“Don’t ask me, I don’t understand that weird accent of hers.” She snobbishly said, then looked back at Jisoo. Her furrowed eyebrows just show how much she is worried for the other girl.

“A-Ah!” Jisoo stammered which made Seulgi turn to her. She felt her heart thump faster.

Seulgi stood up to where she was sitting and faced the girl properly. “Is there something that I can do for you, Young Mistress?”

“Phew~”  Rosé whistled. “Look at those manners. She even called a stranger Young Mistress even though she is a princess herself. That was quite y~”

To be honest, Irene felt surprised with that as well. But then she was unamused. ‘She never called me like that even when we first met after a long time.’

“W-Well... I am…” Jisoo took a deep breath. She has faced a lot of people and even performed in front of presidents and kings of other countries so talking with another girl like this won’t be an issue. “I am of the same group as Irene-unnie. I am their lead vocalist. I just came to properly say my greetings.”

Seulgi then gave out a warm smile to her and Irene couldn’t help but to press her lips together. ‘What is she doing smiling at her like that?’

“Are you here to say that I should take care of your Irene-unnie?” Seulgi asked while looking straight at the girl’s eyes. Jisoo had to look away because it is making her heart beat faster.

“W-Well… I just really want to—”

“Don’t worry.” Seulgi’s smile grew wider as her eyes started smiling as well. “I know you were surprised that your Irene-unnie suddenly got married but I will assure you that I will take good care of her.”

“Ohhh~”  Rosé gave Irene a slight push. “She said she’s going to take care of you~”

Irene couldn’t react as well. She was also surprised at how Seulgi was handling the conversation. ‘Is this part of her acting? How could she even take good care of me when she’s powerless?’

“I know I may not be the person that she’s expecting to be married with, but I will do my best to not let her down. She’s still my childhood friend anyway.” Seulgi then extended her arms towards Jisoo. “I am Kang Seulgi… It’s a pleasure to meet you, Jisoo-ssi.”

“Y-You know me!?”

Lisa heard a very quiet growl from Jennie and she couldn’t help but to smirk.

“Of course, your group is really big these days. Everyone in Korea probably knows the names of the members of your group.” Seulgi felt that there was a hole in her statement so it immediately added up. “You guys are also well known in Europe*.”

(*The place where she was supposed to be studying for years)

“Wow~ That’s really wonderful to hear!” Jisoo clasped her hands together, overjoyed by that news. That actually made her loosened up.

“It is, right?” Seulgi then raised her deck of cards. “Do you want to see some magic?”

Jisoo clasped her hands together in excitement. “Sure!”

The reaction of pure joy that she just gave after hearing the word magic kind of surprised Seulgi and Irene saw how her smile became even more genuine after that.

“Come here and have a seat.” Seulgi sat by the fountain. Jisoo was about to sit beside her but then a certain someone suddenly came and held Jisoo by her arm. The girl was surprised but she was even more shocked when she saw who it was.

“S-Sakura?” Jisoo called their manager who was also wearing a tuxedo that time. She just gave Jisoo a look before turning to Seulgi.

“I am sorry, Princess Seulgi but I have to take Jisoo from you.” Sakura said. Seulgi kind of felt goosebumps now that the lady is actually having reverence for her.

“But why?” Seulgi stood back up. “I just want to show her some magic.”

“It’s not the time for that, Princess. Look.” Sakura then made way for Seulgi to see Irene who was actually looking at her. Surprised that they were revealed, the other girls quickly pretended that they were up into something else.

“What about them?” Seulgi innocently asked.

Sakura turned to her with a very patient expression. “I believe it is not nice to leave your wife alone at the table reserved for the two of you.”

“But she is with her friends now.” Seulgi said.

And as if on cue, slowly, one by one, the other girls left Irene’s table. “Sorry, Irene-unnie~ See you around.”  Rosé said, knowing that they would be better off or else their manager would forcefully drive them away.

“Congratulations on being married, Irene-unnie.” Jennie said before placing a palm on her head.

“Congratulations, Unnie.” Lisa monotonously said before walking away with Jennie.

“I will send you the pictures later. Congratulations again, Unnie.”  Rosé winked at her before going.

Jisoo noticed that her unnies were running away so she thought of catching up but Sakura wasn’t letting go of her. Her cheeks started blushing.

“They have left her already.” Sakura calmly said.

Seulgi couldn’t do anything more but to sigh. “Alright then… I will go back.”

The Shaman princess was about to go when Sakura spoke once more. “You know our nature, Seulgi. You know that we are prone to jealousy. You better not look more interested in another wonderful lady when your wife is just around.”

Seulgi then turned to Sakura with a frown. “Seriously, I don’t get you.”

That’s all and she left the two girls, returning to her wife who is busy pretending that she is doing something else. Meanwhile…

“Kkura…?” Jisoo awkwardly called out to the vampire. “I think I should go and follow the other unnies.”

Sakura just looked at her but then her hand naturally transferred from Jisoo’s arm to her hand. She held Jisoo with her cold hand which actually surprised the other girl. She’s having an internal panic at that very moment.

“Want to grab some ice cream?” Sakura nonchalantly asked as if she didn’t make the other girl’s heart thump. “There’s a variety of ice cream available over there. Wanna go and see?”

“A-Ah, y-yes!”

The manager and the idol went on their way to the ice cream corner while the newlyweds were back to their own awkward world.

“W-Where have you been?” Irene asked just to start a conversation.

“Hm? I just went to talk with some kids.” Seulgi answered while fixing herself on her seat.

Irene pouted at the lie. ‘Talk with some kids when she also talked with Jisoo… Unless she also treats Jisoo as a kid.’

“When do you think this will end?” Seulgi asked after heaving a sigh. She pulled a glass of beverage and examined it very well before taking a sip.

The Vampire Princess turned to consult the watch for time. “I am also wondering about that. I want to go home and take a nice warm bath.”

“Eung.” That’s all and Seulgi didn’t talk again. With this Irene’s eyes squinted.

‘She enthusiastically entertained Jisoo and now she is cutting the conversation that I started with just an eung!? What’s with this person?’

She looked at her and saw that she is now playing solitaire. This made her more furious.

“Kang Seulgi-ssi.” She called. “Are you seriously playing card games on the day of our wedding?”
