A couple of hours had passed and the two royal siblings had finally completed their preparation for the festive dinner event coming up later that night. The two went out of their respective chambers to get some fresh air after the seemingly grueling preparation that they had gone through.

“Hey, sis, you finally done?” the royal princess asked her older sister as the latter exited her own chamber.

“Yeah, well at least it’s more excruciating than yesterday,” the crown princess commented sarcastically, earning a series of wholehearted laughter to resonate from both the royal siblings’ mouths.

After the crown princess had approached her sister and was within a whispering reach with the latter, she asked quietly, “What was that all about? The barging in thing and the urgent matter.”

“Yeah, well, I have a lot to explain to you, but first let me get Seulgi unnie first. I need to get back to her and I probably need her to help me tell this story to you,” the royal princess answered after letting out a small sigh.

The crown princess rolled her eyes upon hearing the royal princess’ statement and questioned in a flat tone, “What prank did Seulgi pull again this time?”

“Well it needs some long explaining to do before I get to answer that question, so let’s find that sneaky general and haul her to help us,” the royal princess said in a smirking smile.

Without further ado, the two began their journey to find the supreme general, beginning with the latter’s chamber, which was expectantly empty. The two royal siblings, then, went inside the temporary Battle Room, in which it was the second most expected place where the supreme general could be located. However, much to their dismay, the said room was empty except for Sergeant Kim and two members of the G Company, who were guarding the doors to the room like a fortress’ massive wall.

“Do you know where General Kang is, soldier?” Crown Princess Bae asked politely upon the sergeant of the G Company.

The three soldiers exchanged a conflicted look with each other and seemed to discuss something of an important matter secretly.

After they finally decided that they had reached to the conclusion of the discussion, the sergeant answered, “I am sorry, Your Highnesses, but the supreme general had ordered us not to tell anyone about the supreme general’s and the three lieutenant generals’ positions as of this moment. All I can say is that they are on a confidential mission right now.”

Knowing that the three poor soldiers might not know a lot about the mission’s background and every target location, the two royal siblings decided not to push those soldiers into telling them about the supreme general’s whereabouts. Hence, the royal siblings decided to just head back to the younger’s chamber, where the royal princess would finally divulge everything to her sister there.

The two royal siblings walked fast on their way back and quickly settled inside the room after the royal princess had dismissed everyone out of the room and soldiers out of the posts right outside her chamber. The royal princess, then, looked at the crown princess first, expecting the latter to say something first, however she was met with only a ‘Please explain what is going on right now!’ look.

After making sure that she was ready to explain, the royal princess let out a deep sign and began, “Okay, you should not be shocked, but I guess you have the right to know that Nayeon and I are officially a couple right now.”

Instead of being surprised, the crown princess just smiled happily upon her younger sister’s words and gave her a look to continue whatever she was planning to say.

“Well, the beginning of our relationship is a bit weird and it happened the day we arrived here in the Im Kingdom. That time, I had just finished briefing Seulgi unnie and Seungwan unnie about the results of our first meeting here. I decided that I just wanted to roam around the garden after I dismissed both of them and that was when I first met Nayeon. She was just talking to the fish in the pond sweetly and I instantly fell in love with her. When I tried to engage into a conversation with her, she was shocked, but I managed to rescue her from falling by hugging her. From that point on, we got to know each other even better through secret meetings early in the morning and throughout the afternoon until it’s dark. We quickly get along with each other and also fall in love with each other, but there’s one thing that we hide from each other, our identities. Well, it’s safe to say that we’re both shocked this morning when we learned the truth about each other’s identities, but we managed to talk through it and I proposed to Nayeon to ask her to be my girlfriend. She said yes and yeah, that’s how we come to be,” Royal Princess Bae explained lengthily and as detailed as possible.

“Well, I guess congratulations are in order, then, for the both of you,” Crown Princess Bae congratulated happily before tackling her sister down and engulfing her in a tight hug.

Royal Princess Bae laughed upon her sister’s action before answering as the crown princess released the hug, “Thanks, Hyun Unnie. I’m glad that you’re okay with us being together.”

“Why wouldn’t I be? You two look perfect together,” Crown Princess Bae complimented the young couple before realizing something and asking, “But why are you suddenly dragging Seulgi out just now?”

Royal Princess Bae scratched the nape of her neck for quite a long period of time, causing the crown princess to question sternly, “Jeongyeon, what did you just ask my girlfriend to do?”

Knowing that she was caught red-handed and had no other choice but to tell her sister the truth, the royal princess let out a nervous chuckle several times before cautiously answering, “Well, about that. You do know that we’re going to go back tomorrow, right?” which the crown princess just replied with a stoic nod whilst still eyeing her sister suspiciously.

The royal princess, then, continued still very cautiously, “Well, Nayeon and I ordered Seul unnie to be our message bearer from now on, meaning that every month, Seulgi unnie will transport the letter that I write for Nayeon to the Im Kingdom. In here, she will hand the letter directly to Nayeon, where Nayeon will immediately write a reply for me on top of the letter that she had wrote beforehand.”

“And how the hell can my Seul-gom got in and out of here safely without getting caught, imprisoned, tortured, or even killed?!” the crown princess asked back furiously after instantly realizing how dangerous this mission could be.

“Geez, Hyun unnie. Take a chill pill. We have gained the aid of Hirai Momo, who is Nayeon’s head of royal maid, to help us with this mission,” the royal princess informed her sister of another helper, however that didn’t convince the latter that the mission would be successful.

“Still not helping, Jeong-ah. To get pass through layers of highly trained soldiers and royal guards is not an easy job and it didn’t get any easier when the person you’re sneaking off to is the crown princess of this kingdom!” Crown Princess Bae exclaimed angrily, her blood started to boil when she began ranting, “Having the help of the head of royal maid won’t do much help! You should at least get the help of a high ranking soldier of the Im Kingdom’s Army to at least ensure the safety of Seulgi’s entrance and exit.”

“So, if we enlist the help of a general or a lieutenant general in the Im Kingdom’s Army, will you let Seulgi unnie participate in this mission?” Royal Princess Bae persuaded in a rather pleading tone.

“If you make sure that you already gain the aid of a general or a lieutenant general, then I will think about allowing my Seul-gom to join in this crazy thing that you’ve got going on,” Crown Princess Bae answered, which was instantly replied with a kiss to the cheek from the younger before the latter happily proclaimed, “Thank you so much, Joohyun unnie. You are the best sister in the world!”

“Hey, Jeong-ie, remember I said that I will think about it! Doesn’t mean I will approve it!” Crown Princess Bae shouted upon the cheerful royal princess, who had gone out of the older royalty’s chamber without closing its doors.

The crown princess continuously shook her head in disapproval towards her sister’s seemingly childish action before reading several parchments regarding her royalty matters, the ones that she had not take notice upon since the beginning of her trip for the Im Kingdom.

When she had finished reading the fourth scroll of parchment, a series of gentle knock sounds on the door resonated clearly throughout the crown princess’ entire chamber, prompting her to ask, “Who is it?”.

“It is General Kang, Your Royal Highness. Sergeant Kim told me that Her Highness and yourself were searching for me when I was gone. May I come in?” the person from the other side of the door introduced herself, which was directly replied, “Yeah, just come right in, general.”
