Hitomi was busying chopping onions as Chaewon was acting as her assistant.

“It doesn’t feel right that Hitomi is cooking dinner for us at our place.” Eunbi laughed as she sat at the kitchen island, across from the prepping Hitomi.

“Haha. Thanks for inviting us and letting me use your fancy kitchen. Hye, have you even use your stove before? It looks too new.”

“Hey, I have used it to cook noodles!” Hyewon retorted.

They all laughed at Hyewon’s reply.

To Hyewon, Hitomi is the best cook in the world, not just a baker. Hyewon suggested having the dinner at her and Eunbi’s new apartment to celebrate and so that she can eat Hitomi’s cooking. Hitomi agreed immediately.

“Tomi, isn’t this too much food for us?” Chaewon questioned her girlfriend while looking at the number of dishes Hitomi has prepared.

“It’s not like you haven’t seen how much Hye eats. And now she’s eating for two.” Hitomi smiled at her pregnant best friend.

“That’s true, the amount of food I buy now has at least tripled.” Eunbi laughed which earned her a slap on the arm from Hyewon.

“Ow!” Eunbi looked at her wife and then smiled at her.

“I’ll buy as much as you want babe.” Eunbi softly said.

“You better! I’m carrying your baby!”

“Our baby, babe, our baby.”

Hitomi and Chaewon looked at each other as they watch the married couple banter then kiss and then flirt with each other.

Chaewon faked cough. “We’re standing here you know.”

“Oh please, it’s not like you two don’t flirt in front of us all the time.” Eunbi said playfully.

“We do not!” Hitomi and Chaewon blurted out at the same time.

Eunbi continued to tease, “Hahahaha, see, you two are so in sync. When do you plan on getting married?”
 

“After Chaewon graduates from law school.” Hitomi quietly said. Chaewon beamed at that answer.

Eunbi and Hyewon smiled.

“So how was the first few weeks of law school?”

“First week wasn’t much, a lot of reading but I can’t wait for the upcoming case studies.” Chaewon replied with excitement.

Eunbi rolled her eyes at her cousin. “No one is ever that excited about case studies.”

Hitomi placed the last dish on the table. “OK, dinner is ready!”
