“KIM CHAEWON YA”

Chaewon froze. There were two choices, ignore Hitomi’s call and keep going or turn around and sit at the kitchen island. She thought back to that one time when Hitomi got really really mad and so she had to spend two very uncomfortable nights sleeping on the couch. Eunbi made fun of her for a month after that incident. In all their years of being married, it was the only time she has ever seen Hitomi that mad at her. Happy wife, happy life. Truly the golden rules to live by and so she went to sit on the bar stool at kitchen island.

 “They’re only 7 you know. Let them be.”

“They were holding hands!”

“Did you not hold hands with others in elementary school?” Hitomi asked.

“Not willingly.”

Hitomi laughed. She was visualizing in her head how a young and serious Chaewon would be like during elementary school days.

“Wait, did you hold hands then? Did someone call you princess?”

Hitomi stayed mum which was considered an acknowledgement to Chaewon.

“Omg! Who was it? Wait, must that childhood friend of yours? The one that never liked me!”

“Her name is Nagisa.”

“Aha, it is her. No wonder she doesn’t like me!”

Hitomi went over to Chaewon and playfully slapped her shoulder.

“Ya, she’s a really good friend of mine.”

Chaewon smiled and pulled Hitomi close to her.

With Chaewon still sitting, Hitomi leaned in for a kiss. They smiled at each other.

“I’m sure everyone would be jealous of me since I got to marry you, including Nagisa.” Chaewon chuckled.

Hitomi laughed while rolling her eyes.

“Om….ma.”

Chaewon looked over to see a half groggy Nako walking towards them. The twin
