“Jisoo-yah. What is going on?” Taehyung’s mother asked, eyeing Jackson with a worried look. Seulgi and Hanbyul standing close behind, waiting for Jisoo’s answer. “Who is this man?”

Jisoo shook her head helplessly. “Ommanim, I--”

“Ommanim?” Jackson’s head snapped up as he blinked his eyes, trying to see the older woman clearer. “You are Jisoo’s mother?” Jackson removed his arm from Jisoo’s shoulder and shakily walked towards Lee Souen. His hand outstretched as he drowsily introduced himself. “Wang Jackson imnida. Son of Wang Conglomerate. I am the only--hey wait a minute.” Jackson squinted his eyes as if trying to jog up a memory. “You’re the woman Jisoo was talking to earlier. But she said you’re not her family! Is everything a lie?!”

Hanbyul’s eyes met Jisoo’s as she made a motion of twirling her index finger next to her head. “This guy is crazy.” The younger girl mouthed out.

If the situation wasn’t terrifying, Jisoo might have laughed. But seeing the look on her future mother-in-law face was anything but funny. Before it gets worst, Jisoo pulled Jackson away, took out his car keys from his pants as fast as she can, unlock his car and made him seat at the back.

“Go to sleep.” Jisoo pointed a finger at Jackson as if he was a child before she finally get the chance to explain everything to Taehyung’s mother.

Jisoo stood by the hotel room door as a bellboy she asked for help from, assist Jackson onto his bed. Once Jackson was safely laid down and tucked in, the bellboy returned back to Jisoo's side.

"Is there anything else you need help with?" He asked.

"No, that would be all." Jisoo replied, placing Jackson's car keys onto the bed side table. "You may go, Woohyun-shi. Thank you." She beckoned him out of the room.

The bellboy's eyes widened, surprised she knows his name although it was written on his nametag. "Ne, Sajangnim." He bowed before leaving the room.

Sajangnim. That's right. Earlier on, she had to repeatedly coaxed Jackson to tell her where he was staying at before she finally found the hotel room card inside his jacket and found out she owns the hotel that Jackson was staying in. Or at least her father does. In fact, it was the exact hotel that she gave Jackson a tour of a week ago. Which brings back the question as to why he was still 45 minutes late to meet her back then when she was just thirteen stories below him!

Jisoo glanced at the soundly asleep Jackson before she read the time on the wall clock. 9.43 p.m. Taehyung's exhibition would still be going on for another hour. As she exited Jackson's room, she contemplated if she should go back to the gallery but the journey there with the night traffic would probably take her more than an hour. Besides, Taehyung would probably be too busy wrapping up his event.

The cracking sound coming from her neck as she stretch herself was the final confirmation she needed to convince herself she was better off heading home instead.

Jisoo rode down the lift in silence. Her employees bowed their heads as she walked through the lobby. A couple of foreign hotel guests giving her curious looks as to why this petite female had so much authority over the room.

Jisoo was almost out of the main entrance when she noticed a familiar face. His long legs crossed at his ankle as he leaned against his car that was parked by the cerb side. Her fatigue a moment ago instantly dissipated.

Taehyung felt good when Jisoo's face lit up once she spotted him waiting outside of Sachi Hotel. Pushing himself off his car, Taehyung patiently watched as Jisoo made her way towards him.

"Taehyung-ah!" Jisoo took him by surprise when she practically ran him over with a hug. If his car wasn't behind him, they might have fallen on the road.

"Wow, what had gotten into you?" He chuckled, but nonetheless returned Jisoo's hug just as fiercely.
