Silence. 

Some people may find the silence unsettling or disturbing but to Yoo Jeongyeon, it provided a small getaway from her busy worklife. Jeongyeon loved mornings. She looked over at the digital alarm clock on the bedside table to her right. 6am. 𝘑𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦.

Myoui Mina was standing in the walk-in wardrobe that Ms Yoo had. It was basically a job requirement of hers: To decide the outfit that Ms Yoo was to wear for the day. 

Black trousers. A white button up shirt. A blue striped vest. And finally a nice black blazer. Next, a wristwatch. She was tempted to pick a gold watch, but knowing Ms Yoo, she didnt suit gold watches. A tie was left to complete the outfit. Mina decided on a monotone tie. 

"Ms Myoui."

Mina turned around, coming face to face with the vice chairperson. 

"Yes, Ms Yoo ?"

"Is my outfit ready ?"

"Yes, Ms Yoo."

"Perfect."

It was only a matter of minutes that Ms Yoo was done with her shower (She strictly believed in the quote "Time is money and money is time") and she had changed into her clothes that Mina had prepared for her. Mina proceeded to help Ms Yoo with putting on her tie, like she had always done for the past 9 years. The morning sunlight shone through the huge glass panels that were supposedly windows. "Its dazzling," said Jeongyeon. "Were you talking about the sunlight, Ms Yoo ?" asked Mina. "No Ms Myoui," Jeongyeon said while adjusting the sleeves of her blazer. "I was talking about the 𝘢𝘶𝘳𝘢 that i exude," Jeongyeon said with a smirk. 𝘑𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦, Mina thought.

Soon enough, they had arrived at the Yoo Group building. Ms Yoo's subordinates were lined up and ready to the Vice Chairperson to her office. "Good morning Ms Yoo." Jeongyeon raised a hand, signalling that they were ready to go. 

They had arrived at the office. "What's my schedule today, Ms Myoui ?" asked Jeongyeon. "Here you go Ms Yoo, you have a meeting with the PR Team today, followed by a party with the newly appointed Spanish ambassador from Catalonia." "Excellent, Ms Myoui." "Thank you Ms Yoo. I'll take my leave now." 

"Wait."

"Yes Ms Yoo ? Is there something you might need ?"

"A partner Ms Myoui. I need a partner for the party."

"Oh certainly Ms Yoo. Perhaps i could get one of the surbordinates to accompany you-"

"No Ms Myoui. I want you to be my partner," Jeongyeon said with a smile.

"Of course Ms Yoo." 

At the party, there was no short of different languages being spoken. English, Spanish, French, German even the odd inclusion of Swedish. Ms Yoo, remarkable as she is, obviously could speak all these languages for she is a linguist. Mina on the other hand, was only familiar with the Korean language and a fair share of the English language. They went around, forming idle conversation with the delegates there, Mina with an arm coiled around Ms Yoo's  right arm. 

The meeting with the Spanish ambassador went well. "Well done today Ms Myoui." "Thank you Ms Yoo. I am sure that the Spanish ambassador would be keen on investing in the company thanks to your hospitality." "I know that Ms Myoui. I mean, who would be able to resist my charm ?" Jeongyeon said with a smirk.  

"You should be properly compensated for your efforts Ms Myoui. Just tell me what you want or need."

"Thank you Ms Yoo, but i have something to tell you."

"What is it ?"

"You should look for a new secretary Ms Yoo."

"Hmm ?"

"Im going to resign now."

"Why so sudden, Ms Myoui ?"

"Its for a personal reason Ms Yoo," Mina said with a smile.

The digital clock beeped, signalling that another hour has passed. 

3am.

Jeongyeon turned in her bed. 

"Why can't i fall asleep ?"
