"tell me a story."

"what story?" i looked at my bruised knuckles as the midnight breeze hit my face.

"you never told me the story of the four girls that you liked."

"ah. you sure it won't bore you?" i shook my head and smiled as i close my eyes.

"you never bore me, nayeon-unnie."

"ok, well." i opened my eyes as i look over the ocean. i heard you sigh and i looked over my shoulder, staring at your side profile.

"i wrote the first girl some love letters,

i did sweet gestures to the second,

i drew the third one some sketches."

silence unexpectedly came by as i frown at the sudden sadness that came over your delicate features.

"what about the fourth girl?"

"her?" you turned around to face me briefly, a frown was displayed on your face a pout on your lips. you looked back at the salty ocean, your face frowning more.

"..."

"i wrote her poems, i drew her sketches, i did sweet gestures. i did everything just to make her stay. but, i did something that i have never done to the previous ones."

"what is it?"

"i gave her my heart." a tear ran down your cheek.

"isn't that idiotic?"

"it is. but, i gave it to her. she gave it back to me in pieces. that's a mistake i have been trying to avoid."
