Part I: 1– Golden Pass

Different World: Genesis

"Those brainless ****ers." V said under his breath before crushing on the ground, panting, holding onto the wounds on his lower abdomen area. It was all Kwon Sanggyu's fault. I swear to behead his poophead if I see him again. He thought but the bleeding wound was simply preventing him from speaking anymore. He had ran quite some distance but he knew it wasn't enough. He was cursing all over the place in his head, with all curse words he knew and in all languages. But everything came to an end when he heard hesitated footsteps and without hesitation, with the last bit of strength left in him, pulled himself on his feet, and started to run again.

The bullet wound on his lower abdomen, the bruises on his face, the cuts on his lips, altogether, were killing him minutes by minutes, yet, he had no where else to go. The entire underground city was looking for his and were after his funeral to happen, if he dared to show up anywhere, he will be killed. He can easily fight if it was one gang, not the entire mafia and gangster communities.

"Found you!" He heard and he heard a man and he was alone.

My ****ing luck for running into a b****. He thought and there, the man, among many he must add, caught up to him, passing an arm around V's neck, attempting to put him to the ground. But even a heavily injured and wounded V wasn't an easy target for anyone, no matter how strong and skillful they are. While holding onto the injured gangster, V smirked and with a push, made a backflip, to fly over his opponent, who not only released his grip but also fell heavily onto the ground.

"Tell your Boss to send proper minions... and smarter ones." He stepped onto the man, almost killing him, and continued on his way, while limping, taking a step at a time, slowly and with difficulty. The forrest was completely plunged into silence right now. He knew he had lost all the other bastards. He didn't know how long he had been walking, struggling to, at one point, in his blurred vision, a slim figure appeared through the shadows of the forrest. Who the **** again this time...? He could only thought and spit out blood before stumbling onto the ground, unconscious.

GENESIS: SEOUL KOREA

It was a very cleared night for a day during the rain season. Rose had been spending way too much time at the library, but she couldn't complain since compared to any other college students, she didn't have finals but project and papers to hand in. She will be done shortly with school and she couldn't wait for this to happen so she could spend more time sleeping and gaming. She was almost done with her papers and starting Monday, she will be moving on with her project after handing in her papers tomorrow, Friday.

Rose was still at the library until Lisa, her bestfriend, suddenly called her to head to the newly cafe that just opened near the National Medical Centre. At around 10:56PM, she exited the library. What Rose loved about her school was the 24/7 library available for all its students. The 2,000m2 glassed building not only gave out the prestige college feels that it was but also a glimpse of a traditional college of the 1970's despite the advanced technology the city has. Another 1,000m2 is added to the 2,000 because of the gigantic library of hundred thousands of shelves that occupied the third floor of the library, while the main floor was a group study area, the second floor was a self-study/quiet area.

When she got out of the library, at the very second, Lisa called again, and with her cute little accent asked Rose, "Pasta~ I hope you got out of the library! I am in the car right now and will be on XX St. soon." She heard and Rose couldn't help but let out a chuckle. No one knew her as good as her bestfriend, who exactly knew the second she would be outside of the library, like now.

"I am out. I will meet you in a while then." She said and hunged up. She looked up at the sky and a song came to her mind, a song that she recently wrote after seeing the happy expression that Lisa wore when Jimin, Rose's brother and Lisa's boyfriend, surprised her at school a few days ago. She pushed her strand of hair behind her right ear, zipping up her backpack before humming as she walked.

Your smile from your eyes,
like
stars that lit up the sky,
like crickets that filled up the night,
became the only thing I dream of e-ver-ry time.

Seeing your smile,
is enough to bring out brightness of black,
and light from my darkest days,
this is why I try to tell you,
"I Love You" every time I see you.

Even then, I feel like I don't say it to you enough...

She got interrupted when a bloody man appeared out of nowhere, so suddenly, in her line of vision. She was taken a step back because of the smell and and pain that she felt for him. Before she could even get scared, the man fell on the ground, to her surprise and shock... staring blankly in front of her. After gathering her mind back, she approached the man, calling out, "Excuse me..." She said but it barely came out. She said again, "Excuse me." She said louder this time. She reached out her hand to tap his shoulder before he reached out his first...

"H...Help me." He whispered in his deep manly voice before falling unconscious. She looked around the empty road, and at this time, Lisa was calling again.

"Pasta. Is everything alright? Why do I feel like..." As she had guessed, Rose quickly cried out.

"Laliz! T...There's a man... come quick!!" As Rose spoke, Lisa saw her friend kneeling on the ground holding... onto a bloody man. She stopped her car on the side of the road to know obstruct the traffic, and got out of the car.

"Pasta, what did you do?" She asked and Roase quickly explained the situation.

"Come on let's help him." She pleaded and Lisa had no other choice but to let this bloody stranger dirty her new $1M car that she just got from the garage this morning. She helped Rose out who was unable to lift up that dead-like body and with a pinch to her heart, laid the guy accross the backseats. If it wasn't for Rose, Lisa would have simply passed by this man without even noticing he was unconscious and bloody. Why does Rose always have to be so kind? She asked herself, eyeing her friend who was simply worried for the bloody man.

Last time she helped an unconscious man, she almost got killed when the unconscious, who happened to be acting, was an armed thief. That night, again, on her first year, when Lisa left mid-day due to an emergency at the hospital, Rose who always showed kindness everywhere she went, noticed the unconscious man on the ground to whom she gave her money to once. She, without hesitation, went to help him up. And as soon as she got close, he pulled out his knife, close to her dear precious face Lisa must add, and was threatened to give all her cash she had on her. Luckily there was a cop passing by or else what would happen to her dear friend?! Since, never again Rose would be leaving the library without herself escorting her.

Hopefully this time this man ain't planning anything after seeing the kindness Rose showed him... because which normal man would be covered in cuts, bruises and blood?! From all the patients that came in and out of the hospital, only gangsters would be hurt this way. Or unless, he was simply beaten up for being a bastard, Lisa sarcastically thought.

"Laliz... Can you drive a little faster?" Asked the anxious Rose. Lisa let out a defeated sigh before stepping on her accelarator. As the car dealer guaranteed, this car was indeed very fast, as soon as she pressed on the gas, the car flew to its destination, which calmed the hot-blooded heiress Lisa.

"If I get a ticket my little Pasta, it's on you." Lisa warned her dear friend, and she knew how Rose would react to it: she would be just fine with it. She really hoped that Rose could one day get mad at her back, telling her: It is our duty as a good citizen to help others in need! One day, Lisa thought.

On the other hand, Rose was dead worried about the man who was losing a lot of blood. Even if she didn't knew anything about medicine or isn't studying medicine, she knew the meaning of excessive loss of blood and the consequence of it. She was, on one hand, relieved that he ran into her, and on the other, worried about the ones who were after that man, who would be this cruel to another person? She couldn't find an answer to that question. She was also very thankful for Lisa who was with her. She knew she would get a lecture from her mother-like figure friend but she will worry about that later.

Once the car stopped in front of the prestige hospital, like any other thing in this place really, Rose rushed out of the car, followed by Lisa who simply parked it there, without bothering any ambulances or emergency vehicles. Chaeyoung pulled the man ut of the car which of course led her friend to be unable to just watch her struggling. And before she could go on with her miscontentment, the medics came out to receive the patient. They did recognize from the building Lisa's car and didn't hesitate to rush out from the Emergency Room to get the patient.

"Mrs. Lisa." They greeted. "Is this your friend?" One of them asked. Lisa shook her head. With the help of the medics, Rose didn't have to carry the unconscious man but she still closely followed to check up on his condition. Lisa knew she wouldn't leave until that man was diagnosed to be alright and alive and not in danger. She turned to take one last look at her dear new baby and dialed a number, broken hearted.

"Mr. Caspari... can you get me another car? I have to get my new one cleaned and disinfected... If possible, have the entire leather seats in the back changed." The housekeeper, who watched the young miss grew up let out a chuckle.

"Understood, I will come now."

It was a quiet night at the E.R. and Lisa closely followed her friend in case she gets too heroic. Her presence, Rose's and hers, will soon reach father's ears... and Lisa started to imagine the nagging he will show, and she sighed. Dear Lord, pleased help me. Have mercy on me. She pleaded.

"Mrs. Park, we will take over from here, please remain outside of the doors." They said and Rose nodded and apologized. Lisa didn't fail to take the chance to friend a bit.

"Wow, I would really have thought he is your boyfriend or something." She said and Rose looked at her blankly.

"He is a stranger I met just now. Not a boyfriend." She replied in honesty and Lisa pursed her lips together, nodding. Right. Jokes won't work on the dear Park Chaeyoung, she almost forgot...and she never learnt her lesson everytime.

Rose let out a sigh and sat down to wait for the news. She turned to her friend, "You won't mind right? I really want to know if he is alright before we leave." Lisa pouted and nodded.

"Of course, although I don't like the fact this man got so much help from you, I will be here with you." And she meant her words. Yes, Lisa isn't very fond of the mess this guy caused her car to be in, isn't fond with the fact that Rose was getting a little too heroic for a gangster like him but these aren't the biggest source of her miscontentment. It was the fact Rose was in the hospital, although she knew she does't want to be here at all. She didn't want Rose to go through the night in guilt and worries and she didn't want her to be here alone if she were to stay.

They were in the Emergency Operation Room area, sitting on the benches in the empty hall. There were about 7 theatres there with their own preparation room, disinfecting room; and tonight, it seemed like only the stranger was in trouble. Every single theatre was built in a soundproof glassed room, which from the outside, cannot see what was inside. The white floor added more light and "soul" to the cold place, and Rose couldn't help but look around. Lisa noticed her eyes roaming around the hall and place, and placed her hand on hers.

"We will get the hell out of here soon."

A nurse rushed out and panting. "Mrs. Lisa." She called and Lisa turned to the nurse. "The man in there doesn't have an identity in the system..." Rose turned to Lisa.

"Can you save him first? He is on the edge of dying." Rose pleaded and stood up.

"Miss.. You know it is hard for us if we were to operate on this guy..."

The friend was caught in a dilemma, should she proceed...? Why the man didn't have an identity? She really didn't know why. Even the worst criminals won't have their fingerprint removed from the system... so why? Of course, it was easy to arrange, it was just... Whatever, it wasn't time to be Lisa. Rose was besides her expecting her to act soon.

"Noted. I will take care of it. Once the guy's safe, I will get everything done. He just came out of a cave... you know, it's a little tricky." Lisa ordered and the nurse, although skeptical with the reason she gave, couldn't help but just continue. It wasn't the first time this sort of situation happened... Like father like daughter. The people couldn't but thought.

Once the nurse was out of sight, Rose hugged her friend tightly, passing her arms around her neck. "You're the best Pokpak!" She said and Lisa turned to her.

"You better treat me well, see everything I went through tonight?" She complained and pouted. "My new car got dirty... Now I even used my status to get a man that I didn't want to save to get operated." She cried and Rose chuckled, knowing her friend was just messing with her trying to make her feel bad for her now.

"Thank you!" She said and hugged her again before Lisa returned her hug. "I will treat you to everything you want."

"Then I will make you go bankrupt."

"Ah... This you can do it to my brother." Rose said and Lisa playfully hit her friend's arm for daring to make fun of her.
