Sweet CharmEvery day was just the same.
It had been since the rumors happened.
There was nothing to do about it.
Just like every day, Kim Jiho goes to college to her classes and avoids eye contact due to what happened. It wasn't her fault that people listen to whispers that float in the air. They didn't know anything. They didn't know the truth.
They only know by words.
Jiho had friends.
She knew lots of people.
Yet with a snap of a finger, it all vanished in a second because of the stupid rumor.
Jiho explained to Dean Jin about the misunderstanding. She told him the honest truth and in return, she got expelled for a while until it was further investigated.
She didn't think she would fall behind in her assignments but she did. She tired her best to keep up but sometimes her teachers wouldn't email her anything. She tried getting in touch with some classmates but no one answered her.
Even her parents didn't know what to do.
They couldn't believe their lovely daughter got expelled from school because of her silly mind. Things that she did shouldn't have been in her head and where she wrote them it shouldn't have happened.
A time machine wasn't invented.
In the end, it turned out that Jiho was telling the truth but it didn't matter. When she was able to return to school, everything had changed.
Everyone stared at her.
Everyone started to whisper amongst one another.
Everyone didn't want to stand next to her.
Everyone isolated themselves away from her.
Jiho didn't do anything wrong.
She was innocent yet, she almost ruined someone else's life.
Not a day went by when Jiho didn't think about her mistake. The moment she walks onto the school grounds, she raised up the volume on her ear buds ignoring everyone around her, including the stares.
Even after a month had passed by the stares continued.
She adjusted and didn't do anything about it.
It was them who believed words over her.
Then again, Dean Jin didn't want word to get out of the mayhem but it did and the rumors floated around.
As much as Jiho disliked popularity, she gained it on her own but for a wrong reason. She sighed hugging herself as she walked on the grass looking at her shoes. She noticed one of her laces was lose. She stopped and bent down to tie it.
She looked up to see where she was since she had a habit of looking at her feet when she walked and forgetting where she really needed to go. She saw the library and thought it would be perfect but when she saw a group of boys laughing amongst each other she knew what that meant.
A swarm of girls started surrounding them like wild beasts staring at their prey. Yet it wasn't lunch time and it was only a figure of speech.
Jiho stood up and crossed her arms staring at the group of boys in a distance. She knew who they were since her cousin was part of it. But she didn't want him to interact with her on campus due to the situation. He wanted to be by her side when she returned but she didn't let him. His popularity would be on the line and she didn't want to ruin it.
But her cousin didn't care about his popularity with his friends. That happened on its own with the girls on campus thinking they were gods because they train hard to do what they love.
Sing.
Dance.
Compose.
Choreograph.
It was based on team work.
Jiho scanned each member in the group. There was seven of them. She knew who they were but she told her cousin to never let anyone know they were related. She didn't want to ruin anything for him or the others.
The oldest went by Shownu. He looks mean and cold but he is actually warm and caring to his friends. He has a built body that any girl would fall for.
The next one went by Wonho, he is pretty face boy who enjoyed composing songs and always had a girl with a golden honey hair next to him. It had to be his girlfriend since they always did hold hands.
There was another pretty face boy who is tall and looked like a frog. Just thinking about it, Jiho couldn't help but smile. He did have nice face features and lots of girls would swoon over him. He and Wonho loved doing things together because their ship name was HyungWONho.
Jiho rolled her eyes at how delusional girls can be.
Instead of standing, Jiho decided to head to the building for class. She didn't want to be late. But as she walked she took a glance at her cousin talking to the boy who had the face of a cute adorable hamster and the youngest member of their beloved pack.
Kihyun and Changkyun; who went by another name but she forgot.
Jiho took her steps slowly knowing she would reach the building soon and she saw the last boy falling behind because he was looking for something in his bag.
Truthfully speaking, he was one of the most popular amongst the girls. He was famous for always coloring his hair constantly. He could pull off any hair color and Jiho couldn't help but be like everyone else.
She developed a crush.
She remembers seeing him with blonde hair and he looked dazzling in the sunlight. He was like a ray of sunlight shining down boosting everyone's energy when they are drained.
Then he had it natural for a while which took people to heaven and before we knew it, he had dyed it silver making more girls fall in love with him.
He just didn't stay with one color.
He enjoyed different colors and there wasn't a single one that didn't fit him. Lots of people have seen him blonde, natural black, silver, blue, blonde again, back to black, blonde and then natural brown for now.
There were so many colors Jiho couldn't keep up.
She just didn't understand how his hair didn't fall out from all that drastic hair color. If she picked an animal similar to him, it would be a rabbit since he does have some features and he makes everyone laugh.
Jiho took one more glance at his back figure and went inside the building. She couldn't get herself distracted. There was no point in having a crush with the rumors about her spreading. She sometimes felt like she didn't have the right to have a crush anyways. People will just the worse about her.
Now that she was back in school, she was on probation for a few weeks. She had to behave well in class and turn in everything on time. But Jiho had to tell Dean Jin that some of the teachers didn't do their part about sending assignments.
Dean Jin mentioned he would look into that matter and it turns out the teachers had forgotten to send her the assignments. But all in all, the teachers couldn't just give that special treatment to just one student. If all the teachers did that, then they wouldn't have lectures.
So sadly, the teachers were off the hook and Jiho had to retake the courses. Of course she didn't fight the problem since it would only drag and more parents would get involved about why that situation was happening and soon they would know about the rumors.
That was the last thing on Dean Jins' mind. He didn't want to cause a mess because of one student and her mistake.
Jiho just learned to deal with the consequences'.
The moment Jiho entered the classroom, she went straight to her place which was the back. Everyone that was present seeing her arrive, they hushed themselves in a low whisper talking amongst each other.
Jiho didn't care if others avoided her like the plague.
She knew the truth and everything was just gossip.
No one spoke to her in the room. She didn't care after some point because she could try and tell everyone on the truth but somehow there would have to be some convincing and Jiho didn't have to convince anyone.
It was a waste of time.
Jiho sat down taking out her spiral for notes and her pen pouch. She kept hearing music in her ears and didn't know where it was coming from. She sighed lowering the volume on her ear buds forgetting she even had them on. She checked the time on the clock that was ahead of her and saw the teacher come in with his things and the rest of the students piled in.
She opened her spiral grabbing her blue pen to be ready and try and pay attention in class. The teacher had a monotone voice so at times, it was hard to stay awake. Lots of students would doze off and he would walk towards them slamming his ruler like a high school teacher would.
The student would jolt from their mini nap and apologize to the teacher.
Jiho continued her notes until some movement happened in the corner of her eyes. She took a quick glance, seeing a girl with long dark brown hair with bangs and a round doll like face. She knew who it was since she wasn't present in the class.
The girl stayed in fetal position as she took her steps to the back to reach the table that Jiho was at and set her things. She peaked over the table waiting for the teacher to have his back facing her before it was safe to seat in her place.
Jiho cleared giving the girl the pass to sit quickly and the moment she did, the teacher turned eyeing the two girls before facing the front.
"Thanks."
Jiho didn't say much since they were friends. In the beginning, Jiho tried to brush her off but Yoo Shiah wouldn't take no for an answer, not to mention her boyfriend is best friends with the person life who Jiho almost ruined.
Shiah knew Jiho from joining the same club. It was Jiho's second day of orientation and she had a hobby for dancing but she wanted to learn something different and new. So a colorful glitter sign that had the words Lyrical on it made Jiho decide to join.
Shiah and Jiho hit it off as if they had known each other for a long time. Then Shiah became Jiho's mentor and that relationship grew.
When the ugliest day happened for Jiho; Shiah didn't know what to do or say but in the end, she confronted her and Jiho told her the honest truth.
Jiho left leaving Shiah and the Lyrical club the moment she got expelled. She didn't want the older girl to be ruined. Jiho made the choice ending everything they shared together but Shiah had her own voice and choice. She decided to stay around Jiho no matter what.
Another common friend they knew was Kim Mihyun who went by Mimi. She had transferred in from America not knowing anyone and she became close with Shiah due to her boyfriend being cousins to Mimi and later ended
