Sometime around 2018

 

Minatozaki Sana steps out of her shared house with Jihyo and Dahyun.

 

And to no surprise, Hirai Momo, the person who was the love of her life is waiting outside.

 

“Good morning, Sa – chan!”

 

Momo gleefully greets.

 

How long has it been?

 

10 weeks?

 

YES! 10 weeks, that is how long Momo had been waiting for Sana on the same spot every morning.

 

She walks Sana to the bus stop every morning.

 

Walking behind her.

 

Watching her get on the bus.

 

Momo did not even miss a day of walking Sana by the bus station.

 

It is a lot of work, especially Momo is never a morning person.

 

But for Sana.

 

Momo crosses the bridge.

 

She does things for Sana.

 

Just for Sana.

 

Those ten weeks fruits into something really.

 

During the first week, Momo experienced Sana’s rage.

 

Sana was running away from her.

 

Shouting at her.

 

And Ignoring her.

 

Sana would always throw a fit whenever Momo would talk to her.

 

Or, whenever Momo would give her something.

 

She is sending a message!

 

A very clear message that Momo is not welcome in her life.

 

Not anymore.

 

Despite all that, Momo is not giving up.

 

She is trying harder.

 

Fighting harder.

 

And because of that, things happen.

 

It was the sixth week.

 

When Sana finally accepted Momo’s breakfast.

 

Thanks to Dahyun who was not able to buy coffee, Sana needed one.

 

She wanted to stop by the coffee shop but there are a lot of people outside.

 

She then looks at Momo.

 

Momo shows the breakfast she brought for Sana.

 

And since that incident, Sana accepts Momo’s breakfast.

 

But was it really an incident?

 

Dahyun changed her profile photo with Seulgi.

 

So?

 

Then –

 

It was on the 9th week when Sana stopped suddenly.

 

Momo confusedly stopped too.

 

“Is everything okay, Sa – chan?”

 

Momo asks in a worry.

 

There is a long pause.

 

A very long pause.

 

Until she hears Sana sighs.

 

Momo plastered the biggest smile she had for the past weeks.

 

She jumps in joy as she runs beside Sana.

 

Momo is blushing profusely.

 

That was also the first time in a long time that she has nothing much to say.

 

There were no monologues.

 

They just walked in silence.

 

Momo momentarily looks on Sana.

 

Smiling.

 

Giggling.

 

Shivering.

 

She even wanted to dance that very day.

 

She is so happy that it silent her.

 

Sana has finally allowed her to walk by her side.

 

As time goes by, little by little Momo’s hard work turn into something.

 

Something that Momo will not change for anything in this world.

 

Something that Momo would take a bullet for.

 

And that is Sana.

 

Now, they are walking side by side.

 

Momo is just smiling at her.

 

Sana is sipping the coffee that Momo brought for her.

 

It is way different on how they were before but somehow it keeps Momo moving.

 

And she is not complaining no matter how long it will take.

 

How slow the progress could be, it’s just –

 

Anything for Sana.

 

She smiles again.

 

She sees Sana’s hand dangling in the air.

 

It is very tempting.

 

Tempting for Momo to take it.

 

To hold it and wrap with her hands.

 

She is just looking at it.

 

She gulps.

 

She is shaking.

 

And Momo moves her hand forward, she is ready to capture Sana’s hand.

 

When –

 

“Are you Momo from the Dance Reality show!?”

 

A student approaches her.

 

Momo pays a gaze.

 

She is surprised by the sudden recognition.

 

Yes, that too.

 

She has become so famous after being safe for five weeks in a row.

 

There are only 5 of them left.

 

Momo, Sinbi, Seulgi, Lisa, and Yoojung.

 

Their popularity is skyrocketing.

 

People recognize them, and they have fans all over the place.

 

It is just Momo is too focused on something that she does not care about anything else.

 

No, Momo is this oblivious.

 

“Oh my gosh, it is really you, can we take a photo together?”

 

She asks enthusiastically.

 

Momo looks at Sana.

 

Sana did not even stop in walking.

 

“Ah… err, okay?” Momo is just that nice.

 

After that student.

 

There are a number of students around Momo already.

 

They are fangirling over her.

 

Asking for photos and autographs.

 

Momo becomes this person without her even realizing it.

 

Now, people are all over her.

 

She looks awkward.

 

Yet, she is giving in to their requests.

 

Momo is trying to look for Sana.

 

But, she lost her.

 

Momo clenches her jaw.

 

She bows and tries to escape the area, but people are just coming and coming.

 

They just keep on crowding her.

 

“Thank you for your support, but I’m sorry I really need to go,” Momo bows.

 

But people aren’t listening.

 

They barely care about what she feels.

 

Or what is Momo trying to say?

 

They are all around her selfishly crowding her, asking attention.

 

She is just a personality trap inside this being who everyone loves.

 

She is caged to protect her image.

 

But, this is not what she wants.

 

She just wants to get Sana back.

 

When Momo is ready to scream.

 

“Excuse me,”

 

She hears a voice.

 

Her voice.

 

She feels her wrist being wrapped by a warmth she needs the most.

 

There she is.

 

Momo hears her heartthrob inside her chest.

 

Sana came back.

 

She came back swaying all the people around Momo.

 

She pulls her away from the crowd.

 

She has always been the most beautiful sight that Momo ever knew but at this very moment. She is shining.

 

The knight and shining armor that Momo needed at that very second.

 

The hero that Momo has known.

 

Sana.

 

There is a cab waiting for them.
