Ari's eyes opened to an endless bright light, as her eyes adjusted she realized she had fallen onto the seating area floor in her sleep, connected to the futon by her blanket, Yenna was also slipping off the futon because Rena was hogging the whole thing to herself. She got up and turned the AC off, they only liked it cold at night. She lazily picked up her phone and checked the time, "Oh. My. God." she exclaimed.
It was 10.14am, and she had 3 missed calls from Jungkook. Crap. Crap. Crap. She was supposed to meet him 14 minutes ago, she quickly called him back, he answered with a "Hey, where are you?" he sounded disappointed.
"I'm so sorry we all overslept and didn't even set any alarms, can you wait 20 more minutes? I'll be there," Ari said.
"Ok, I'll wait," he simply replied.
After she hung up, she started to wake the other two, which was not an easy task. After she got them up and left them to gather their bearings, Ari went to shower and get ready, today she wore a black tank top, blue jeans, and a red and white ed plaid shirt, she grabbed her bag and told the girls she'd come back to pick them up after meeting with Jungkook, so far it had already been twenty minutes, lets hope he doesn't mind staying for another ten. She had barely dried her hair for more than two minutes so it was still wet. She parked her car and power walked to the cafe, rushing in, he was sitting on a table on the left side of the room and looked up to the sound of the bell, he smiled at her when he noticed her.
"Hey," she said as she made it to the table and put down her bag to sit.
"Wow, did you actually run all the way here," he chuckled.
She smiled, he always did make her smile, ugh.
"No, I only ran from the car here," she chuckled too, "Do I look that much of a mess?"
He answered, "No you look great as usual"
This. It was this that kept her hooked, he always said things that made her heart flutter.
"So what did you wanna talk about?" she asked.
This question made her anxious, had he somehow realized he had feelings for her too, would he say it?
"I just wanted to apologize about yesterday, I know I shouldn't have reacted that way, and especially since I was misinformed about your feelings anyway," he said sincerely.
Ari's heart shattered, so he didn't feel the same, well she shouldn't be surprised, but she was still getting a whole apology so she guessed it would do, for now.
"Why did it matter that much to you anyway, if I liked you or not? Why were you so bothered by it?" asked Ari.
"Well, it's about my date who I'm bringing to the mixer, Yumi, I really like her and I thought if she thinks there's someone else who I might be interested in, she might not wanna go anymore, I really want to be with her, you know," he finished nervously.
Heartbreak, heartbreak, HEARTBREAK. Ok, Ari, just pull yourself together, just act cool like you have for the past several months.
"Oh, well you could have just told me, you know, instead of accusing me like that," Ari said.
"I know, I'm an idiot, but I just got really anxious, I don't want to lose this girl," he said.
"I can see that," said Ari.
Wow, they weren't even together and he was in way over his head. This was definitely not a healthy relationship so far, but Jungkook was a really nice guy, if he liked her this m
